.TIE

.TIE files are the missionformats used by TIE Fighter, X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter, Balance of Power or X-Wing Alliance. Where X-Wing used a seperate file for the mission (.XWI) and the briefing (.BRF), TIE Fighter integrated these into one format. The .TIE files as used by TIE Fighter, X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter, Balance of Power and X-Wing Alliance are not the same format even though they share the extension; differences are related to the differences in game abilities.
