==Overview==
The Imperial Sovereign Protector (ISP) is a [[Imperial Fleet Advisor]]. While outside of the jurisdiction of any [[Command Officer]] or [[:Category:Subgroup Commanders|Group Commander]], they are still considered [[Command Staff]] positions. The current ISP is [[Sector Admiral]] [[Kamjin "Maverick" Lap'lamiz]], who has held the post since 28 September 2020.

==Description==
The position of Imperial Sovereign Protector is reserved for a dedicated Emperor's Hammer officer who has been chosen to guard and protect the [[Fleet Commander]] (FC) from any external forces, serving the FC as main counsellor. Currently it's working as a position for an officer whose vast experience and time in service qualifies him to act as main advisor, along with the [[Princeps]], for the whole club.

Awarded by GA Ronin back in 2001 for his long tenure as Security Officer of the Emperor's Hammer... At almost 2 years it still stands as the longest time anyone has held the position.

[[Order of the Renegade]] 

The Order of the Renegade (OoR) is presented to Grand Admiral Rapier on August 25, 2021, in recognition of the milestone of him becoming the longest serving Fleet Commander of the Emperor’s Hammer. This is a momentous occasion worth celebrating. His exceptional dedication, service, and loyalty to the fleet, spanning a career of 24 years to date, demonstrate commendable commitment that other members should seek to emulate.

It is without hyperbole that the Emperor’s Hammer would not still be operating today without the efforts of Grand Admiral Rapier. He has made hard calls throughout his career to reduce the size of the fleet, including pruning the branches of the diminished groups, to ensure the core of the Emperor’s Hammer remained healthy and viable. These decisions resulted in a stable core organization that was prepared for new opportunities for fleet involvement as they emerged.

In recent months, he has overseen the resurgence of the fleet with the release of Star Wars: Squadrons and the emerging TIE Fighter Total Conversion. His guidance and insights with the Group Commanders, High Admiral Plif and Grand Master Montte, have enabled innovation within the Emperor’s Hammer TIE Corps and Emperor’s Hammer Dark Brotherhood. This has included enabling new competitions and structuring to take root within the TIE Corps and establishing a foundation for the design and development of a path for the future of the Dark Brotherhood.

Grand Admiral Rapier’s performance of duty and commitment to the organization is exceptional and reflects great credit upon himself and the Emperor’s Hammer.

Moreso, I’ve known Grand Admiral Rapier for the entirety of his career within the Emperor’s Hammer. We’ve shared many conversations through the years regarding his career, the fleet, gaming, socializing in the fleet, and our personal lives. Never once has he spoken about himself, such as advancing his career, getting promoted, seeking an award. First and last he speaks about the experience of everyone else. Are they having fun? How will they enjoy an activity? What can we do to improve their time?

He’s often told me his goal is to be the last one out of the room, turning the lights off, when it’s time to say goodbye. I don’t expect he’ll ever say goodbye.

== Intro ==

Welcome to corporatedivision.com, home of the Corporate Division (CD). The CD is a subgroup of the Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet, an Imperial faction on the Outer Rim fighting to restore the ideals of the New Order in the chaos following the Battle of Endor. Such a massive war machine requires equally massive resources, and the Corporate Division provides these, offering manufacturing bases and services for the entire Fleet.
 
The Corporate Division itself is subdivided into two main units: the Direx Board, which is the administrative body of the subgroup; and the Trade Assembly, which contains all of the corporations and companies which make up the subgroup. In addition, there exists a highly skilled unit of pilots known as Core Squadron, who are responsible for testing and showcasing the latest starfighter designs produced by the Corporate Division.
 
Any individual with a skill or talent is welcome to join the Corporate Division, but at the same time, those without specialised skills are equally welcome, with training opportunities in every corporation. To be a Corporate Division Engineer represents a pinnacle of achievement and talent in a particular field, and you'll also be providing a very real and tangible service to other parts of the Emperor's Hammer - something that no other group truly offers.

Star Wars Hunters

Star Wars: Hunters is a mobile and Nintendo game released by Zynga and NaturalMotion on June 4th, 2024. It focuses on third-person combat with many playable characters. The game takes place on the planet of Vespaara in the Outer Rim. The game has a total of 13 characters, and 5 battle arenas in which to play, including "Ewok Village", "Mos Espa Podrace", and "Death Star Crossfire". The Characters have special abilities. For example, Sentinel, a ex-Imperial stormtrooper, has the following: Combat Shield, Suppressing Fire, and Barrel Slam.

The game currently has 4 game modes- Squad Brawl, Dynamic Control, Power Control, and Trophy Chase.

Squad Brawl is basically first team to reach 20 kills wins.
Dynamic Control- teams capture rotating Control Points
Power Control- team occupies and holds most control points on the map
Trophy Chase- the 2 teams need to "hold" the Trophy Droid (TRO-F33) to reach 100% and win.

There is a total of 3 classes- Damage, Support, and Tank. The names are pretty self-explanatory.

The Security Officer is the only other EH Member other than the FC authorized to contact any online service in an official EH capacity in order to report EH Bylaws/Conduct violations and receive general counsel on the same. When an alleged violation of the EH Bylaws or the EH IRC Code of Conduct has been noted, the Security Officer is to be notified (typically by the COMM or another Officer) who will in turn review and possibly present the case to the EH JAG for prosecution in accordance with the EH Bylaws and Articles of War. == Pre-Imperial Status ==
Jai Thorne hails from the planet of Athulla, single child of Mrs. Obeek Thorne and Mr. Insard Thorne. His mother served as a communication represenative for a local transportation of personnel from inner planetary travels while his father served as a senior pilot among cargo goods for off planet businesses. Wanting to follow the footsteps of his father, he was eager to reach adulthood and fly amongst the stars as it seemed like a freeing occupation. Little did he know how dissapointing the job would actually be for him, early in his adult life he took flight courses and an took upon local flight routes to hopefully one day fly like his father before him. This job however did not meet or exceed his expectations for enjoyment. Being let down, he wanted to reach out to something more fulfilling, yet still being able to fly. Thus, when the New Order of the Empire emerged, his interest was boosted. From the information on recruitment posters, to seeing service personnel from all around, his excitement was once again re-established and Jai found his new desire. Saving up the credits he had earned previously, he took the next shuttle out and made his way to the Imperial Academy for basic training, and then to the Starfighter Corps for futher instruction and training.

== Life in the Empire ==
Upon boarding the ISD-II "Warrior" for the first time, Jai was in awe, to be able to step afoot onto a star destroyer. After learning more and more about them in the Academy, he was excited to find out he were to be assigned to one upon graduating. Jai, and other new pilots were shown around the ship in a brief tour, seeing where he would operate out of 90% of the time and other noteable areas around the ship. Jai then soon met his Squadron Commander [[Vapen Van'an]] and other fellow pilots. He would later find his position in Theta squadron was only temporary as he was appointed as their Flight Leader soon after, as well as earning himself two promotions to both Lieutenant and Lieutenant Commander shortly after. Originally exclusive to the forces of Warlord Zsinj and not truly a SFS design,created in Zsinj's shipyards at Dathomir. The most distinctive feature of this fighter is the absence of wing pylons and the direct attachment of smaller radiator panels to the cockpit ball. This would have resulted in a reduced ability to dissipate heat from the fighter's systems and lead to the fighter not performing to its full potential, but the evolution of the technology over time mitigated this drawback. The fighter's small profile made it more agile and harder to hit.

In the Emperor's Hammer, the TIE Raptor was the preferred fighter of the [[Sector Rangers]]. Two of the laser cannons were swapped for ion cannons when called for in a particular assignment.

The illustrations in Cracken's Threat Dossier are problematic. They only show signs of two of the four laser cannons described in the text. The weapons would more plausibly be mounted on wingtips similar to those of the TIE Phantom or TIE Interceptor.

==Introduction==
Shadow Squadron is one of the four squadrons on board the [[MC80B Redemption]], having previously been stationed aboard the [[MC90 Fear]].

Commissioned in the original [[Infiltrator Wing]] as a part of Thor Wing onboard the FRG Insidious, it is one of the original IW's oldest squadrons but was not commissioned as a playable unit when the Infiltrator Wing merged with the [[TIE Corps]].

It was commissioned the first time in 1995 (EHNL#27). The first Squadron Commander was [[Lieutenant General (IW)|Lieutenant General]] [[DarkJedi]]. In EHNL#28 DarkJedi was already the Commodore (later called Wing Commander) of Thor Wing. Squadron Commander after DarkJedi was [[Brigadier (IW)|Brigadier General]] [[Caliban]].

==History==

Shadow Squadron has a long and storied history of honourable service, starting during the Clone Wars and continuing to this day. This article intends to chronicle that history so that future generations may learn about the exploits of this distinguished squadron. Shadow Squadron is currently disabled.

===Early Days – The Clone Wars===

The original Shadow Squadron were an elite collection of Clone pilot and gunners personally assembled and trained by famed Jedi Knight and Hero of the Republic, Anakin Skywalker. Originally flying V-19 Torrent Starfighters, Shadow Squadron fought with distinction at Kadavo, attacking the slave processing facility there and liberating thousands of people. Later, having converted to advanced BTL-B Y-Wing fighter-bombers, Shadow Squadron led the attack on the Separatist Dreadnought Malevolence, commanded by Droid General Grievous, disabling it despite suffering heavy losses in the process.

Later in the Clone Wars, Shadow Squadron fought bravely at the Battle of Kamino, where they fought off the Separatist Blockade. Though several large pieces of debris landed on the planet, facilitating the Droid attack on the Cloning Facilities, Shadow Squadron were decorated for their part in the battle.

===Rise of the Galactic Empire===

During the Rise of the Empire, Shadow Squadron’s surviving veterans were replaced with Clones who had become sadistic and ruthless over the course of the Clone Wars, simultaneously trading their Y-Wings for V-Wings and ARC-170s which they painted a two tone light and dark grey scheme to better reflect their position as enforcers of Imperial rule and hunters of those who clung to the old ways of The Old Republic.

Shadow Squadron would later exchange their Clone Wars vintage craft, and many of the surviving Clone pilots for volunteers flying modified TIE Bombers that boasted greater firepower, speed and agility. These craft were famously tasked by Darth Vader to attack the fleet led by the Rebel Frigate Salvation outside the Itani Nebula. This was a diversion, however, as the main goal was for Bounty Hunter Boba Fett to capture Salvation’s Captain, former Imperial Ace Juno Eclipse.
Shadow Squadron destroyed many Rebel craft that day, for minimal losses, and Fett returned to Vader with the captive Eclipse.

===Galactic Civil War===

Following the Battle of Yavin, Shadow Squadron continued to field test experimental craft. Several pilots were dispatched to a remote facility where the TIE Phantom was being tested, while others tested experimental TIE Defenders under the command of Grand Admiral Zaarin and defended the Bretie Facility and Obsidian Station. Unfortunately, their intervention in both occurrences proved fruitless and the Rebel forces were victorious. This marked the beginning of Shadow Squadron’s decline into obscurity, as no information is known after this date.

===The New Republic===

Though not part of the direct lineage as far as Imperial historians are concerned, it should be noted that there was a Shadow Squadron active in the New Republic fleet circa 8ABY. This squadron was notable for participating in General Han Solo’s hunt for Warlord Zsinj, flying X-Wing starfighters at the Battle of Selaggis in which Shadow 12 was lost. Its fate after this time is currently unknown.

===Emperor’s Hammer===

Shadow Squadron was reactivated in Imperial hands circa 10ABY aboard the Frigate Insidious, where it served initially as an X-Wing squadron in the space superiority role before transferring to the heavy support role and exchanging their venerable T-65s for experimental Shadow Class Y-Wings. This change also saw a transfer to the Calamari Cruiser Fear, from which Shadow Squadron operated for over a decade.

Following a restructuring that saw the Infiltrator Wing cease to exist as an independent part of the Emperor’s Hammer, Shadow Squadron was transferred to the jurisdiction of the TIE Corps aboard the Calamari Cruiser Redemption alongside Red, Green, and Blue Squadrons. It continued to serve with distinction in a support role, never quite achieving the fame that the other squadrons secured for themselves.

This includes increasing its maximum acceleration to 25 MGLT/s and improved maneuverability in excess of 95 DPF. Shielding and Hull strength have both been increased to enable the craft to withstand the extra stresses that Nova put on her craft during training and combat exercises.

Lenan-she however had to remove several key systems in order to make these radical changes, and the''Revenge'' no longer space to mount either a tractor or jamming beam, whilst the already limited cargo capacity has been further reduced.

Nova credits these improvements to her personal craft as being instrumental in her survival during the recent '''Neutralization of the Ishtari''' campaign (31 ABY) and the recent engagements in the '''Tkon Rift'''.

The Emperor's Hammer '''''Dark Sentinel''''' is the official newsletter of the [[Emperor's Hammer|Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet]]. It was formerly published on a recurring basis. Although no longer produced, it serves as a key historical record of activities within the Emperor's Hammer from its founding in January of 1995 until about 2010. The earliest newsletters are notable for serving as the foundational documents for the [[Emperor's Hammer]] as a whole.

=History=

Early versions of the ''Dark Sentinel'' (up to NL #34) were published in Windows Write (.WRI) format. Beginning with NL #5, the Windows Object Packager was used to embed additional files into the base newsletter. Icons within the base newsletter were linked to embedded objects, and double clicking the icon would load the embedded document. Because modern software will not read Windows Write files, the contents of most of these early editions have been converted to HTML format and are accessible online.

NL #35 marked the transition to the Word Document (.DOC) 6.0 format. These editions continued to use the embedded object format.

Beginning with NL #48, the newsletter shifted to publishing in a native HTML format. These newsletters can both be viewed online, as well as downloaded, at the [https://www.emperorshammer.org/newsletters.php newsletter archive].

[https://archives.emperorshammer.org/dark-sentinel-html/hammer60/ Issue #60] was a special edition, ''The Best of The Dark Sentinel'', published in recognition of the 5th Anniversary of the founding of the Emperor's Hammer. ==Technical Information==

The .WRI files of NLs 1-34, originally developed using Write within Windows 3.1 and earlier, cannot be effectively opened on modern systems. WordPad within Windows XP is the latest application known to effectively open the Write documents in a fashion that maintains the accessibility of the embedded document objects. Users will likely need to enable legacy converters as described in [https://web.archive.org/web/20080209191358/http://support.microsoft.com/kb/883090 Microsoft KB 883090].

The .DOC files of NLs 35-47 can be opened with a modern copy of Microsoft Word, however the user may need to update their Trust Center settings (File Block Settings tab) to enable opening Word 6.0 files and/or Legacy Converters for Word.

==Real-Life History==

===2020 (28 ABY)===
By 2019, the TIE Corps' membership had dwindled from its heyday in the early 2000s, leading to the closure of Beta and Sigma squadrons. This left the Corps with only six active squadrons. Efforts to attract new and returning pilots started working, and by March of 2020, the TCCOM announced plans to reopen two squadrons. Hav Antiel, then Commodore of the Warrior, expressed interest in leading the ship's new squadron. From the available list of inactive Wing II squadrons (Psi, Rho, and Sigma), Antiel chose Rho because it was a relative "blank slate" compared to Sigma (which had been mothballed in 2019) and Psi (which had historical reports and logos on file). Antiel found evidence that a historical Rho Squadron had existed in the past, but he was unable to find any reports, logos, or solid history.

In developing the initial mission and image of Rho Squadron, CMDR Antiel looked to the Imperial squadrons in the original Star Wars trilogy, depicted with gray/blue fighters and black uniforms. When Rho was reactivated, every other TIE Corps squadron consisted of superfighters like the TIE Defender and Missile Boat. Sin Squadron had just earned a signature superfighter, the TIE Sinister, that notably included cupholders and air conditioning. This inspired Antiel to pitch Rho as a throwback to the canonical Imperial mindset: bad guys with expendable ships and pilots and stark black and gray iconography. Antiel told the TCCOM, FA Plif, of his desire for a complement of shieldless TIEs, and Plif helped Antiel decide on the menacing TIE Interceptor. While other squadrons used different fighters for each flight, Antiel followed the examples shown in the films, where squadrons consisted of a dozen of the same fighter.

Rho Squadron was activated on 16 April 2020 with three veteran pilots: [[Trideo Arkson]] and [[Drake Starfire]] as [[Flight Leader|Flight Leaders]] and Hav Antiel as CMDR. They were joined by another returning veteran, [[Jarion Renalds]] on 18 April. Although Trideo Arkson soon went AWOL and Drake Starfire left to command [[Inferno Squadron]], Rho grew, attracting new pilots to fly the TC's only TIE Interceptors. On 21 June 2020, Rho Squadron became full for the first time with 12 active pilots.

Still reeling from his disappointing [[Raise the Flag 2019]] loss as Commodore of the Warrior, Antiel saw 2020's RtF competition as an opportunity to redeem himself and announce his new squadron as real challengers. Rho began preparations for RtF months ahead of its September start date. As preemptive rule changes scuttled some of Rho's strategies, the pilots adapted, developing alternative strategies before finally settling on a familiar formula: single-player SPAM flying.

[[Raise the Flag 2020]] became a three-way contest between Rho, fellow newcomers [[Tempest Squadron]], and five-time winners [[Theta Squadron]]. Rho's SP focus, spearheaded by Antiel, [[Lo Mar]], [[Epicedion]], and [[Frenchie6]], was bolstered by Lo Mar's fiction entries, including his Bonus-winning fiction. At the close of the contest, Rho set a new RtF record with 8,078 points, becoming only the third different squadron to earn the title of TCCOM's Escort Squadron. Four of Rho's pilots ranked among the Top 10, more than any other squadron. For 10 of Rho's 12 pilots, 2020 marked their first-ever Raise the Flag competition. Although Rho's triumph gave the new squadron prestige and enmity, the magnitude of their RtF accomplishment was acknowledged across the TIE Corps.

Rho's attitude and sense of community were pivotal to the squadron's success in RtF. Although every member of the squadron contributed to that sense of community, the heart of Rho in 2020 was its XO, [[acetiepilot]]. Tommy, as he was known to his peers, coined and epitomized the "Rho looks after Rho" mindset by checking in with other pilots, stoking conversations on comms, and organizing pools to buy copies of games for Rho pilots. Antiel recognized Tommy's potential and made plans with his XO to take over command of the squadron in 2021.

During 2022, Rho Squadron preformed exceptionally well across multiple competitions. Rho contributed to the ISDII Warrior's stunning victory in Imperial Storm IV with tactical analyses and flight activity. Shortly after, the squadron reinforced its flight prowess with an equally stunning sweep of the Chalquilla Cup, winning all but one game and dominating the competition. The squadron, made up of competitive and non-competitive Rho pilots alike, earned IS-PWs and Distinguished Flying Crosses and were celebrated at an awards ceremony held after the competition's close.

After completing 6 of the 8 assigned tasks for [[Squadron (Re)Mobilization|Squadron (Re)Mobilization 4]], Rho Squadron elected to take advantage of the higher tier ships available for requisition and traded in its TIE Interceptors for the technologically superior TIE Avengers. With these new ships, Rho flew extraordinarily during that year's Raise the Flag, earning 5th place overall out of 17 other squadrons, and first place of the squadrons of the ISDII Warrior. Uniting in efforts writing fiction, creating graphics, and prolifically flying, Rho confidently placed high and set the groundwork for an even better year to follow.

During this year, Rho's leadership became a noticeably productive industry. Extraordinary commanders taught their SQXOs and FLs tips and tricks of trade with the assurance that after their stint there would be a confident and capable replacement. Some of Rho leadership even transferred to other squadrons to fill vacancies, spreading the positivity, leadership skills, and community building focus.

Proud of all of these performances and developments, Rho leadership marked 2022 as a beyond resounding success, and headed into 2023 with high hopes and plans to even further improve the increasingly highly-regarded community - the Rho Family.

===2023 (31 ABY)===
This year, Rho Squadron sound itself continuing on the trend of being on the winning end of competitions. Fighting (and being one of the very few to survive without a single lost pilot) in the first cooperative Imperial Storm V competition in the form of the conflict against the Ishtari, the pilots of the Rho Family grew more together and even stronger than before. The Ishtari enemy would turn out to be on that would test the mettle and character of each and every pilot, and the Rho Family rose to the challenge magnificently.

In recognition of this attitude, proficiency, and excellence, in addition to a stunning performance and completion in the Squadron (Re)Mobilization V, the squadron was afforded a rare award. Designed by joint efforts of Tusorixian engineers and the Emperor's Hammer's Science Office, a new craft was created from a rare allow and gifted exclusively to the Rho Squadron pilots. Six of the Rho Family were also used as consultants for the development of the craft, and then-commander [Alexandre Morgan] began to adopt the development of the ship.

Called the [[TIE_Rhodium|TIE/rh Rhodium]], it stood similar to a TIE/Interceptor but with upgraded armor, shields, weaponry, and general capability. It incorporated traditional aesthetic designs from Tusorixian history that were coupled with the Imperial ethos and character in both a gesture of harmony between the two cultures and in acknowledgement of the gift of the rare metal from the Tusorixian government, which they viewed as repayment for the Emperor's Hammer's protection from the Ishtari species. An image of the craft can be found below in the 'Equipment' section.

While the squadron did not place first in the Raise the Flag competition in 31 ABY, its monumental efforts in galvanizing its fellow Warrior pilots succeeded in winning the Flagship title for the Star Destroyer. Rho Squadron's excellent sense of family, community, and character also eventually attracted the highest-scoring pilot in the competition, the newly-minted Baron of the TIE Corps [Vanguard88].

31 ABY saw a parade of highly successful commanders. The Rho Squadron hero [Westric Davalorn] stepped down from the office early in the year, satisfied with his service and confident in his impact on the squadron. Succeeding him was [Alexandre Morgan], who, alongside his eventual Admiralty roles, led the squadron through the smash hit Squadron ReMob V competition and the creation of the TIE Rhodium. After Morgan stepped down to pursue academic success, [[Fr0Zen|Adom Wietu]] returned to the helm of the Family and headed up the massive Wing-wide RtF success. At the end of the year, Wietu accepted leadership of the ISDII Warrior itself and passed the reins to the current commander, [[Maston Dane]], who's impact and influence on the trajectory of the Rho Family is eagerly anticipated.

==Real-Life History==

===2020 (28 ABY)===
By 2019, the TIE Corps' membership had dwindled from its heyday in the early 2000s, leading to the closure of Beta and Sigma squadrons. This left the Corps with only six active squadrons. Efforts to attract new and returning pilots started working, and by March of 2020, the TCCOM announced plans to reopen two squadrons. Hav Antiel, then Commodore of the Warrior, expressed interest in leading the ship's new squadron. From the available list of inactive Wing II squadrons (Psi, Rho, and Sigma), Antiel chose Rho because it was a relative "blank slate" compared to Sigma (which had been mothballed in 2019) and Psi (which had historical reports and logos on file). Antiel found evidence that a historical Rho Squadron had existed in the past, but he was unable to find any reports, logos, or solid history.

In developing the initial mission and image of Rho Squadron, CMDR Antiel looked to the Imperial squadrons in the original Star Wars trilogy, depicted with gray/blue fighters and black uniforms. When Rho was reactivated, every other TIE Corps squadron consisted of superfighters like the TIE Defender and Missile Boat. Sin Squadron had just earned a signature superfighter, the TIE Sinister, that notably included cupholders and air conditioning. This inspired Antiel to pitch Rho as a throwback to the canonical Imperial mindset: bad guys with expendable ships and pilots and stark black and gray iconography. Antiel told the TCCOM, FA Plif, of his desire for a complement of shieldless TIEs, and Plif helped Antiel decide on the menacing TIE Interceptor. While other squadrons used different fighters for each flight, Antiel followed the examples shown in the films, where squadrons consisted of a dozen of the same fighter.

Rho Squadron was activated on 16 April 2020 with three veteran pilots: [[Trideo Arkson]] and [[Drake Starfire]] as [[Flight Leader|Flight Leaders]] and Hav Antiel as CMDR. They were joined by another returning veteran, [[Jarion Renalds]] on 18 April. Although Trideo Arkson soon went AWOL and Drake Starfire left to command [[Inferno Squadron]], Rho grew, attracting new pilots to fly the TC's only TIE Interceptors. On 21 June 2020, Rho Squadron became full for the first time with 12 active pilots.

Still reeling from his disappointing [[Raise the Flag 2019]] loss as Commodore of the Warrior, Antiel saw 2020's RtF competition as an opportunity to redeem himself and announce his new squadron as real challengers. Rho began preparations for RtF months ahead of its September start date. As preemptive rule changes scuttled some of Rho's strategies, the pilots adapted, developing alternative strategies before finally settling on a familiar formula: single-player SPAM flying.

[[Raise the Flag 2020]] became a three-way contest between Rho, fellow newcomers [[Tempest Squadron]], and five-time winners [[Theta Squadron]]. Rho's SP focus, spearheaded by Antiel, [[Lo Mar]], [[Epicedion]], and [[Frenchie6]], was bolstered by Lo Mar's fiction entries, including his Bonus-winning fiction. At the close of the contest, Rho set a new RtF record with 8,078 points, becoming only the third different squadron to earn the title of TCCOM's Escort Squadron. Four of Rho's pilots ranked among the Top 10, more than any other squadron. For 10 of Rho's 12 pilots, 2020 marked their first-ever Raise the Flag competition. Although Rho's triumph gave the new squadron prestige and enmity, the magnitude of their RtF accomplishment was acknowledged across the TIE Corps.

==Real-Life History==

===2020 (28 ABY)===
By 2019, the TIE Corps' membership had dwindled from its heyday in the early 2000s, leading to the closure of Beta and Sigma squadrons. This left the Corps with only six active squadrons. Efforts to attract new and returning pilots started working, and by March of 2020, the TCCOM announced plans to reopen two squadrons. Hav Antiel, then Commodore of the Warrior, expressed interest in leading the ship's new squadron. From the available list of inactive Wing II squadrons (Psi, Rho, and Sigma), Antiel chose Rho because it was a relative "blank slate" compared to Sigma (which had been mothballed in 2019) and Psi (which had historical reports and logos on file). Antiel found evidence that a historical Rho Squadron had existed in the past, but he was unable to find any reports, logos, or solid history.

In developing the initial mission and image of Rho Squadron, CMDR Antiel looked to the Imperial squadrons in the original Star Wars trilogy, depicted with gray/blue fighters and black uniforms. When Rho was reactivated, every other TIE Corps squadron consisted of superfighters like the TIE Defender and Missile Boat. Sin Squadron had just earned a signature superfighter, the TIE Sinister, that notably included cupholders and air conditioning. This inspired Antiel to pitch Rho as a throwback to the canonical Imperial mindset: bad guys with expendable ships and pilots and stark black and gray iconography. Antiel told the TCCOM, FA Plif, of his desire for a complement of shieldless TIEs, and Plif helped Antiel decide on the menacing TIE Interceptor. While other squadrons used different fighters for each flight, Antiel followed the examples shown in the films, where squadrons consisted of a dozen of the same fighter.

Rho Squadron was activated on 16 April 2020 with three veteran pilots: [[Trideo Arkson]] and [[Drake Starfire]] as [[Flight Leader|Flight Leaders]] and Hav Antiel as CMDR. They were joined by another returning veteran, [[Jarion Renalds]] on 18 April. Although Trideo Arkson soon went AWOL and Drake Starfire left to command [[Inferno Squadron]], Rho grew, attracting new pilots to fly the TC's only TIE Interceptors. On 21 June 2020, Rho Squadron became full for the first time with 12 active pilots.

Still reeling from his disappointing [[Raise the Flag 2019]] loss as Commodore of the Warrior, Antiel saw 2020's RtF competition as an opportunity to redeem himself and announce his new squadron as real challengers. Rho began preparations for RtF months ahead of its September start date. As preemptive rule changes scuttled some of Rho's strategies, the pilots adapted, developing alternative strategies before finally settling on a familiar formula: single-player SPAM flying.

[[Raise the Flag 2020]] became a three-way contest between Rho, fellow newcomers [[Tempest Squadron]], and five-time winners [[Theta Squadron]]. Rho's SP focus, spearheaded by Antiel, [[Lo Mar]], [[Epicedion]], and [[Frenchie6]], was bolstered by Lo Mar's fiction entries, including his Bonus-winning fiction. At the close of the contest, Rho set a new RtF record with 8,078 points, becoming only the third different squadron to earn the title of TCCOM's Escort Squadron. Four of Rho's pilots ranked among the Top 10, more than any other squadron. For 10 of Rho's 12 pilots, 2020 marked their first-ever Raise the Flag competition. Although Rho's triumph gave the new squadron prestige and enmity, the magnitude of their RtF accomplishment was acknowledged across the TIE Corps.

Rho's attitude and sense of community were pivotal to the squadron's success in RtF. Although every member of the squadron contributed to that sense of community, the heart of Rho in 2020 was its XO, [[acetiepilot]]. Tommy, as he was known to his peers, coined and epitomized the "Rho looks after Rho" mindset by checking in with other pilots, stoking conversations on comms, and organizing pools to buy copies of games for Rho pilots. Antiel recognized Tommy's potential and made plans with his XO to take over command of the squadron in 2021.

===2022 (30 ABY)===
During 2022, Rho Squadron preformed exceptionally well across multiple competitions. Rho contributed to the ISDII Warrior's stunning victory in Imperial Storm IV with tactical analyses and flight activity. Shortly after, the squadron reinforced its flight prowess with an equally stunning sweep of the Chalquilla Cup, winning all but one game and dominating the competition. The squadron, made up of competitive and non-competitive Rho pilots alike, earned IS-PWs and Distinguished Flying Crosses and were celebrated at an awards ceremony held after the competition's close.

After completing 6 of the 8 assigned tasks for [[Squadron (Re)Mobilization|Squadron (Re)Mobilization 4]], Rho Squadron elected to take advantage of the higher tier ships available for requisition and traded in its TIE Interceptors for the technologically superior TIE Avengers. With these new ships, Rho flew extraordinarily during that year's Raise the Flag, earning 5th place overall out of 17 other squadrons, and first place of the squadrons of the ISDII Warrior. Uniting in efforts writing fiction, creating graphics, and prolifically flying, Rho confidently placed high and set the groundwork for an even better year to follow.

During this year, Rho's leadership became a noticeably productive industry. Extraordinary commanders taught their SQXOs and FLs tips and tricks of trade with the assurance that after their stint there would be a confident and capable replacement. Some of Rho leadership even transferred to other squadrons to fill vacancies, spreading the positivity, leadership skills, and community building focus.

Proud of all of these performances and developments, Rho leadership marked 2022 as a beyond resounding success, and headed into 2023 with high hopes and plans to even further improve the increasingly highly-regarded community - the Rho Family.

===2023 (31 ABY)===
This year, Rho Squadron sound itself continuing on the trend of being on the winning end of competitions. Fighting (and being one of the very few to survive without a single lost pilot) in the first cooperative Imperial Storm V competition in the form of the conflict against the Ishtari, the pilots of the Rho Family grew more together and even stronger than before. The Ishtari enemy would turn out to be on that would test the mettle and character of each and every pilot, and the Rho Family rose to the challenge magnificently.

In recognition of this attitude, proficiency, and excellence, in addition to a stunning performance and completion in the Squadron (Re)Mobilization V, the squadron was afforded a rare award. Designed by joint efforts of Tusorixian engineers and the Emperor's Hammer's Science Office, a new craft was created from a rare allow and gifted exclusively to the Rho Squadron pilots. Six of the Rho Family were also used as consultants for the development of the craft, and then-commander [Alexandre Morgan] began to adopt the development of the ship.

Called the [[TIE_Rhodium|TIE/rh Rhodium]], it stood similar to a TIE/Interceptor but with upgraded armor, shields, weaponry, and general capability. It incorporated traditional aesthetic designs from Tusorixian history that were coupled with the Imperial ethos and character in both a gesture of harmony between the two cultures and in acknowledgement of the gift of the rare metal from the Tusorixian government, which they viewed as repayment for the Emperor's Hammer's protection from the Ishtari species. An image of the craft can be found below in the 'Equipment' section.

While the squadron did not place first in the Raise the Flag competition in 31 ABY, its monumental efforts in galvanizing its fellow Warrior pilots succeeded in winning the Flagship title for the Star Destroyer. Rho Squadron's excellent sense of family, community, and character also eventually attracted the highest-scoring pilot in the competition, the newly-minted Baron of the TIE Corps [Vanguard88].

31 ABY saw a parade of highly successful commanders. The Rho Squadron hero [Westric Davalorn] stepped down from the office early in the year, satisfied with his service and confident in his impact on the squadron. Succeeding him was [Alexandre Morgan], who, alongside his eventual Admiralty roles, led the squadron through the smash hit Squadron ReMob V competition and the creation of the TIE Rhodium. After Morgan stepped down to pursue academic success, [[Fr0Zen|Adom Wietu]] returned to the helm of the Family and headed up the massive Wing-wide RtF success. At the end of the year, Wietu accepted leadership of the ISDII Warrior itself and passed the reins to the current commander, [[Maston Dane]], who's impact and influence on the trajectory of the Rho Family is eagerly anticipated.

 Delta Squadron is one of six [[TIE Corps]] squadrons attached to [[Wing I]] of the [[ISD Hammer|ISDII Hammer]].
== Unit History ==

Delta Squadron has been formed on December 24th of 1994, along with [[Alpha Squadron|Alpha]], [[Beta Squadron|Beta]], [[Gamma Squadron|Gamma]], [[Epsilon Squadron|Epsilon]] and [[Lambda Squadron|Lambda]] squadrons. Their original carrier was the [[ISD Avenger]].
The combat role of Delta was originally reconnaissance, with the pilots flying TIE Defenders. Now they are assigned to Assassination missions, flying their TIE Phantoms and Defenders. The squadron's very first Commander was [[General]] Cli4ord and the unit reached active status on January 7, 1995.
