Awards are granted to deserving members based on their service, accomplishments, or performances within a competition. Awards fall into three general groups - Merit awards, Competition awards, and Achievement awards.

==Merit Awards==
Merit awards are granted to members for their accomplishments within the Secret Order. Specifically, the day-to-day activities performed by a member ultimately dictate the merit awards they will earn.

Merit awards can be broken down into two subcategories:
* General Merit Awards, awarded at a regular cadence to members based on their latest accomplishments. These awards are typically for general activity performed by a member.
* Outstanding Achievement Awards, awarded infrequently to members for exceptional accomplishments and contributions to the Secret Order. These awards are typically for those in leadership roles and focus more around running or improving the Secret Order as an organization.

===General Merit Awards===
General merit awards are granted to members of the Secret Order, typically on a quarterly basis. They are awarded based on the member's performance and activity over that time, at the discretion of the member's immediate superior (typically, their [[DB:Dark_Side_Compendium_Clans_and_Houses#House_Quaestor | House Questor]]).

R3-N9, more commonly referred to as "Nines", was the personal astromech droid for [[Jaxx Nassin]].

Nines was originally assigned fleet duties with the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War performing complex navigational duties onboard the Star Destroyer *Revengeance*. Following the fall of the [[wookieepedia:Galactic Empire|Galactic Empire]], the New Republic repurposed Nines to serve automated freight liners transiting Mid-Rim systems. The [[wookieepedia:New Republic|New Republic]] assumed these trade lanes were safe from pirate attacks as most pirate organizations had kept to the [[wookieepedia:Outer Rim|Outer Rim Territories]]. Nines had earned a reputation of being a loud mouth to his droid compatriots during his time in freight service as he felt his computational abilities could be used better elsewhere than ferrying cargo between systems. Despite the New Republic reprogramming Imperial droids, Nines retained some of the personality he had developed during his years working on board Star Destroyers.

The Galactic Corsairs, feeling emboldened by successful raids on luxury liners that ventured too far from the Galactic Core, began targeting the New Republic's automated freighter fleet. When they raided Nine's freighter convoy, he attempted to defend his cargo after being boarded, but the Corsairs quickly overwhelmed him and what light security the New Republic had bothered to station onboard the cargo ships. Nines was severely damaged during the raid, but was taken as part of the Corsair's haul. Jaxx, having a penchant for slicing and droid engineering, quickly took an interest in the R3 series droid.

R3 series droids came equipped with [[wookieepedia:Intellex V|Intellex V]] computer brains, which were well known for their computational power. Jaxx wanted to leverage that power to enhance the Corsair's slicing capabilities to crack more complex security. After weeks of sourcing new astromech components, Jaxx was able to repair Nines and deprogram him of his New Republic restrictions, leaving the droid with a bit of a mean streak. Nines was loyal neither to the New Republic nor the Galactic Empire that came before it after his deprogramming was finished. He felt that Jaxx, and by extension the Corsairs, understood his capabilities and voluntarily joined to be Jaxx's personal astromech droid. Nines quickly became a major asset when plugged into the astromech socket of Jaxx's Y-Wing.

Nines' personality developed to have a slight superiority complex. He knows that his advanced computational power puts him on a level above most other droids. He also was an accomplished slicing droid, able to slice through some of the most complex digital security in under half the time it would take an R2 or R4 series droid to complete. Originally equipped with a transparisteel dome, Jaxx replaced the dome with a typical plastex dome in an effort to make Nines less identifiable as an R3 series in passing.

When Jaxx fled the Corsairs to join the [[Emperor's Hammer]], Nines stayed by his side and accompanied him to the Hammer's Fleet.

==Early Life==

Jaxx was born on Corellia in 6BBY to the Nassin family. His father, Hannis, was a supervisor of ship construction at the [https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Santhe_shipyards ''Santhe'' Shipyards]. Prior to this, Hannis was an electrician's mate. Jaxx was introduced to electronics and how to modify them at an early age by his father. During the Galactic Civil War, the Rebellion launched a strike on the ''Santhe'' Shipyards in an attempt to disrupt the ability to construct capital ships for the [https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Galactic_Empire Galactic Empire]. During the strike, Hannis Nassin was killed when his section of the construction yard was depressurized by ordnance delivered by Rebel B-Wings. Jaxx was only nine when he lost his father. He became restless and developed a distaste for authority figures, often getting in trouble with the local constables after he would "procure" someone's hover skiff for a joyride.

As part of the grievance pay for the loss of his father to the Rebellion, he was given entry into the Imperial Naval Academy. The Empire was desperate for fresh recruits following the devastating loss at Endor. However, Jaxx's poor attitude towards authority figures was not enough to overcome his hatred to the Rebellion, now known as the New Republic. He washed out within the year. Not willing to return to the Republic controlled Corellia, Jaxx fell in with a group of pirates known as the Galactic Corsairs. They specifically targeted Republic ships, which allowed Jaxx to harness his anger over the loss of his father. After a particularly daring seizure of a casino ship from its moored location near Sullust, he earned the nickname Hijacker due to his aptitude for rerouting security systems (hijacking) in the heat of the moment.

==The TIE Corps==

===Joining the TIE Corps===
In 29ABY, Jaxx was contacted by an old friend from his short time at the Academy, [[Stryker]]. Stryker was now a Colonel serving aboard the Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet, commanding a squadron of infiltrators known as the [[Firebird Squadron]], and he was in need of new pilots to help him destroy the New Republic from within. Jaxx, who had never wanted to enter a life of piracy, took the commission of Sub-Lieutenant offered by the command staff of the TIE Corps and set out in his personal Y-Wing, "Hawg", to begin his new life within the ranks of the Emperor's Hammer. He had every plan of making up for his past failures and missed opportunities and looked forward to reducing as much of the New Republic to ash as he could.

===Firebird Squadron Executive Officer===
Within his first few months of being assigned to [[Firebird Squadron]], Jaxx had proven himself to [[Stryker]] and was elevated to to the squadron's executive officer (SQXO) and leader of Flight 2 for a time. His greatest achievement during this time wasn't helping push the squadron to finish fourth in [[Raise the Flag 2021]] but rather bringing the squadron together to create new flight names and mottos. While it took a while for the bureaucracy of the fleet to push the winning candidates forward, they will ultimately outlive his time in the squadron, leaving their mark for generations to come.

===Sin Squadron===

In 33 ABY, then Lieutenant Colonel [[Honsou | Honsou Kessen]] was looking to revitalize [[Sin Squadron]]. LC Honsou reached out to MAJ Nassin to join Sin to pilot a [TIE Sinister]] in Flight 3. Sin Squadron’s mission of Deep Space Smash and Grab, aka Depredation, was a perfect fit for Jaxx’s skillset he gathered during his time with the Galactic Corsairs.

LC Honsou initially had tried to groom Jaxx to become Flight 3's Flight Leader, however, the Major ultimately turned down the opportunity to allow new officers in the TIE Corps to develop their leadership skills.

In Raise the Flag 2024, Jaxx served alongside the rest of Sin to elevate the squadron to third place out of the fleet.
During Squadron Remobilization 2025, Sin Squadron was tasked with infiltrating a First Order outpost to gather intelligence useful to the Emperor’s Hammer. The problem Sin was faced with was their style was usually less subtle. Jaxx suggested to smuggle a few of the pilots in the cargo areas of Flight 2’s TIE Sinisters to gain access to the First Order facility while Flight 1 created a diversion. Jaxx and his group were able to successfully gain access to the First Order facility, reappropriate some of the First Order TIEs, and escape mostly unscathed.

==Logistics Officer==
In early 30 ABY, Jaxx was selected to become the [[Logistics Officer]] of the fleet. In this position, he has worked hand in hand with the [[Internet Officer|Internet Office]] to evolve the historical archives. In 34 ABY, he was promoted to [[Fleet Admiral]].

The TIE Sinister was a TIE Protector repainted in sleek black. According to Terrik, [[Rapier|GA Rapier]] personally requested production of twelve such craft as an award to the winning squadron. Sin's TIE Sinisters were customized with air conditioning and cupholders, per the CMDR's request.

Historically, squadrons of Wing II are named after letters of the Greek alphabet, following the convention of the ''X-Wing'' video games series. However, Sin Squadron is the lone exception to this convention. When the ''Warrior'' was activated on 31 March 2014, Alpha, Gamma, and Lambda Squadrons of the ''Hammer'' transferred to become Sigma, Kappa, and Theta, respectively. A fourth active squadron was planned for the ''Warrior,'' and the ship's Commodore, [[Frodo March|HA Frodo March]], had Wing II squadrons Psi, Rho, Sin to choose from (Sin, a letter in many Semitic alphabets, having replaced Omega in Wing II some time earlier.) As prize for their winning efforts in Squadron (Re)Mobilization 2 in 2020, Sin Squadron were awarded their own custom craft, the TIE Sinister. The TIE Sinister was a TIE Protector repainted in sleek black. According to Terrik, [[Rapier|GA Rapier]] personally requested production of twelve such craft as an award to the winning squadron. Sin's TIE Sinisters were customized with air conditioning and cupholders, per the CMDR's request.

Historically, squadrons of Wing II are named after letters of the Greek alphabet, following the convention of the ''X-Wing'' video games series. However, Sin Squadron is the lone exception to this convention. When the ''Warrior'' was activated on 31 March 2014, Alpha, Gamma, and Lambda Squadrons of the ''Hammer'' transferred to become Sigma, Kappa, and Theta, respectively. ==Early Life==

Jaxx was born on Corellia in 6BBY to the Nassin family. His father, Hannis, was a supervisor of ship construction at the [https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Santhe_shipyards ''Santhe'' Shipyards]. Prior to this, Hannis was an electrician's mate. Jaxx was introduced to electronics and how to modify them at an early age by his father. During the Galactic Civil War, the Rebellion launched a strike on the ''Santhe'' Shipyards in an attempt to disrupt the ability to construct capital ships for the [https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Galactic_Empire Galactic Empire]. During the strike, Hannis Nassin was killed when his section of the construction yard was depressurized by ordnance delivered by Rebel B-Wings. Jaxx was only nine when he lost his father. He became restless and developed a distaste for authority figures, often getting in trouble with the local constables after he would "procure" someone's hover skiff for a joyride.

As part of the grievance pay for the loss of his father to the Rebellion, he was given entry into the Imperial Naval Academy. The Empire was desperate for fresh recruits following the devastating loss at Endor. However, Jaxx's poor attitude towards authority figures was not enough to overcome his hatred to the Rebellion, now known as the New Republic. He washed out within the year. Not willing to return to the Republic controlled Corellia, Jaxx fell in with a group of pirates known as the Galactic Corsairs. They specifically targeted Republic ships, which allowed Jaxx to harness his anger over the loss of his father. After a particularly daring seizure of a casino ship from its moored location near Sullust, he earned the nickname Hijacker due to his aptitude for rerouting security systems (hijacking) in the heat of the moment.

==The TIE Corps==

===Joining the TIE Corps===
In 29ABY, Jaxx was contacted by an old friend from his short time at the Academy, [[Stryker]]. Stryker was now a Colonel serving aboard the Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet, commanding a squadron of infiltrators known as the [[Firebird Squadron]], and he was in need of new pilots to help him destroy the New Republic from within. Jaxx, who had never wanted to enter a life of piracy, took the commission of Sub-Lieutenant offered by the command staff of the TIE Corps and set out in his personal Y-Wing, "Hawg", to begin his new life within the ranks of the Emperor's Hammer. He had every plan of making up for his past failures and missed opportunities and looked forward to reducing as much of the New Republic to ash as he could.

===Firebird Squadron Executive Officer===
Within his first few months of being assigned to [[Firebird Squadron]], Jaxx had proven himself to [[Stryker]] and was elevated to to the squadron's executive officer (SQXO) and leader of Flight 2 for a time. His greatest achievement during this time wasn't helping push the squadron to finish fourth in [[Raise the Flag 2021]] but rather bringing the squadron together to create new flight names and mottos. While it took a while for the bureaucracy of the fleet to push the winning candidates forward, they will ultimately outlive his time in the squadron, leaving their mark for generations to come.

===Sin Squadron===

In 33 ABY, then Lieutenant Colonel [[Honsou | Honsou Kessen]] was looking to revitalize [[Sin_Squadron]]. LC Honsou reached out to MAJ Nassin to join Sin to pilot a [TIE Sinister]] in Flight 3. Sin Squadron’s mission of Deep Space Smash and Grab, aka Depredation, was a perfect fit for Jaxx’s skillset he gathered during his time with the Galactic Corsairs.

LC Honsou initially had tried to groom Jaxx to become Flight 3's Flight Leader, however, the Major ultimately turned down the opportunity to allow new officers in the TIE Corps to develop their leadership skills.

In Raise the Flag 2024, Jaxx served alongside the rest of Sin to elevate the squadron to third place out of the fleet.
During Squadron Remobilization 2025, Sin Squadron was tasked with infiltrating a First Order outpost to gather intelligence useful to the Emperor’s Hammer. The problem Sin was faced with was their style was usually less subtle. Jaxx suggested to smuggle a few of the pilots in the cargo areas of Flight 2’s TIE Sinisters to gain access to the First Order facility while Flight 1 created a diversion. Jaxx and his group were able to successfully gain access to the First Order facility, reappropriate some of the First Order TIEs, and escape mostly unscathed.

==Logistics Officer==
In early 30 ABY, Jaxx was selected to become the [[Logistics Officer]] of the fleet. In this position, he has worked hand in hand with the [[Internet Officer|Internet Office]] to evolve the historical archives. In 34 ABY, he was promoted to [[Fleet Admiral]].

==The Warfare Office==

The Warfare Office is the organization responsible for the management of competitions within the TIE Corps, excluding those handled by the Combat Operations Office. The team is made up of the following:

*The Warfare Officer: The Warfare Officer is the primary officer tasked with managing TIE Corps competitions, ranging from TIE Corps wide events such as Raise the Flag and Imperial Storm through to assisting members with their own competition setup and administration.
**The current WO is FA [[Phoenix Berkana]].

*Warfare Officer Assistant (WOA): A Warfare Officer Assistant is primarily tasked with assisting the WO in managing the competition approval queue, working with competition runners to schedule and refine events and ensuring that awards are presented. During times of major Corps-wide competitions such as Imperial Storm, Squadron (Re)Mobilization and Raise the Flag they may also be tasked with competition tracking tasks.

The Warfare Office runs several major competitions throughout the year.

*Imperial Storm - a month-long competition that pits the EH against an NPC enemy. Battlegroups need to earn enough points to defeat enemy fleets, completing the objectives that advance the [[EH Plotline]]. Imperial Storm is held in February or March of each year.

*Operational Readiness Awards (ORAs) should not be awarded as participation medals. The idea of an ORA is to reward achievements made during a competition without placing in the rankings. For example, if a competition is about playing 50 XWA missions, and you get a high score on 1/2 of them, you can give an ORA for that. But do not give an ORA for completing the 50 missions, or using the ORA as a placement medal below the IS-CW/CR.

*Iron Star w/ Copper Wings- the IS-CW should never be awarded as the first place award in a competition. The IS-CW should be used as a runner-up to the IS-BW. Same applies for IS-CR.

*Iron Star w/ Bronze Wings- the IS-BW should be a first place award for a squadron-level competitions that lasts LESS THAN A MONTH, or as a runner-up for the IS-SW. Same applies for the IS-BR.

*Iron Star w/ Silver Wings- the IS-SW should be the first place award of a squadron-level competition that lasts ONE MONTH OR MORE. It can also be the runner-up for the IS-GW. Same applies for the IS-SR

*Iron Star w/ Gold Wings- The IS-GW should be the first-place award of a battlegroup level competition, or for Corp-wide competitions that last for a few months. They can also be the runner-ups for the IS-PW. Same applies for the IS-GR. Battlegroup level competitions that last for less than a month should NOT use the IS-GW to keep it rare.

*Iron Star w/ Platinum Wings- The IS-PW may only be awarded for first place in Corp-wide competitions that last at least 4 months, or for complex events like Raise the Flag or Imperial Storm. These are not to be a runner up for any medal. Same applies to the IS-PR.

If you see competitions with medals that are not allowed to be awarded, deny the competition and explain why.

So, you've been selected for the role of Warfare Office Assistant (WOA). You need to know how to perform the many tasks that occur daily in the Warfare Office, so that you can be a good assistant to our current [[Warfare Officer]] [[Fleet Admiral|FA]] [[Phoenix Berkana]]. You will need to know how to write medal recommendations, process competitions, write news articles, and pull data for Ace of the TIE Corps and TIE Corps in Battle. This guide will contain all of the basic skills needed for daily performance in the eventful like of a WOA.

===Section 1: Medal Recommendations===

Writing medal recommendations is an integral part of running mass competitions or helping people who can't write them hand out the necessary awards (such as non-leadership roles). The first step to writing a recommendation is navigating to your "Management" page on the EH website.

Step 1:Select the "Recommend an Award" option

Step 2: Firstly, in the area circled in red, enter the username of the person who you wish to award the medal to. You will only be able to enter TC accounts, not SO ones. Then, in the area circled yellow, enter the competition ID. Every competition has one, and it is listed at the very top of every competition page. For example, Ace of the TIE Corps 2025- Season One has the ID #7902. Next, select the medal. As a WOA, you will only be able to award ORAs, all of the Iron Star types, and TUA/MUAs. This area is highlighted in green. Then, in the area circled in blue, enter the quantity. Sometimes, competitions can have multiples of the same medal in the rewards. Lastly, in the area circled in brown, type in the recommendation. This usually includes the achievement that the recipient had, such as "For achieving first place in Ace of the TIE Corps 2025- Season 1, LCM GamerRat is awarded the IS-GW. Great Job!" You will not need to enter in the Combat ID #, as those are for COO run events and (usually) do not apply to the WOA. But if necessary, fill it out.

===Section 2: Processing Competitions===
Another major role of a WOA and the WO is to process competitions that are created by TC members. This process is relatively simple, but requires some basic knowledge about ongoing competitions and awards.

To begin the competition approve/deny process, select the area called "Process pending competitions"

Here, there are 3 sections to look at. First, look at the areas circled in green. Check to see if the medals correspond with the competition task (no IS-xR for flying missions or no IS-xW for non-flying missions), the dates (some medals cant be awarded if the competition doesn't last long enough), and the competition details, as the competition could be a repeat of, for example, TCIB. If you feel like everything is good, select "Approve" in the area circled in red, then click "Process Competitions" (area circled in yellow). If you approve it, a notification will be sent to the competition creator.

Should the competition not be valid for whatever reason (here it is a near-repeat of TCIB), you will deny that competition. Do everything like above, but for the area circled in red, select "Deny". This will cause a textbox to pop up at the bottom of the screen (circled blue). Here you will enter the reason you denied the competition. For example: "This competition is a near-repeat of TCIB. Please do not submit repeats of existing competitions." or "You can't have IS-GW's for competitions that are not Corp-level. Change the award and resubmit for approval." After this, click the area highlighted yellow (Process Competitions). This will send a message to the creator that is was denied.

===Section 3:News Articles===
For those who do not know, news articles are those announcements that appear on the EH site when you click the "Club News" button. These usually display promotions, changes of command, or the achievements of pilots. There are a few basic steps to writing one.

Here, you choose the option to write a news post.

On this page, you write everything you want in the news post. First, enter the headline/title (area circled red). This is the title of your post. Secondly, pick a Headline Graphic (area circled yellow). This is a small image of the "origin" of the news. As a WOA or WO, pick the one that is called "WO- Warfare Officer". This will display the insignia of the WO. However, in news related to competitions like RtF or Imperial Storm, you may choose those options. Next, enter a subgroup (circled in green). By default, it is (without displaying it) set to Emperor's Hammer. Choosing Emperor's Hammer will send the news to both the TC and SO discord servers and it will display it on both websites. Choosing TIE Corps will only send to TC Discord and TC website, and similarly with the SO option. Since you are a WOA or WO, you should pick TIE Corps or Emperor's Hammer. Before moving on, enter the text. This will be the news that you are sharing. This area is circled in blue. Now, prepare to scroll down.

Now that you have scrolled down, you will have a few more things to choose. Circled red is the news from the previous section. In yellow is the option to post to Discord or not. This determines if the message will be posted on Discord. By default, it is turned on. Now, press the "Preview" button (circled blue). This will show a preview of the message as it will appear on the EH website(s). If you are satisfied, you may press the "Post News" button, sending it to the EH Discords and websites.

This is an example of a News Article. You can see that the Warfare Office logo was selected, and it is visible on the top left, as well as other info that was put into there.

===Section 4: BSF Submission Data===

How do you think the WO office figures out who flew a certain battle for TCIB? Obviously we do not go through EVERY active pilot's activity section to see if they submitted that BSF! We have a special search tool. You will now learn how to pull BSF data from the database.

Here we choose the battle to find all of it's BSF submissions. In TCIB, you would be pulling up BSfs for 16 different battles, and putting them into a spreadsheet (if necessary).

You have finally arrived to the BSF search page. There are 3 sections to enter data into. Firstly, into the "Start Date", place the date when that TCIB round began. For this one, it began on March 1st, 2024. This area is circled red. Then, into the "End Date", enter the date that is 2 days AFTER the end date of that TCIB round. As TCIB does not have repeating battles in a season, repeated results are not a problem. Entering 2 days after also makes sure that the system didn't miss any BSFs, as that can occasionally, though rarely, happen. This section is circled yellow. Next, into the "Battle" section, type in the battle who's BSFs you would like to view. For this example, we will use XWA-TC 4 "Privateer". This area is circled in green. Lastly, click "Search". This will take you to the results of the BSF search, showing all BSFs submitted for XWA-TC 4 in that time period. This button is blue and is circled blue as well.

You can now see the results of the search. It lists by score amount, with the highest at the top. You can now see who participated, their score, their high scores, and their .plt file. If you are required to input this data into a Spreadsheet, scroll to the bottom of the page and copy it as a CSV. You can now input it into spreadsheet programs like Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel for easy to view info.

<p style="margin: 1em 0;">As the Emperor’s Hammer Strike Fleet began to enter First Order controlled territory they were met by a First Order patrol. The First Order seemed to be guarding a central fueling depot with several patrols that navigate the surrounding area.</p>

<p style="margin: 1em 0;">The Gasriese System is home to the massive gas giant, Zephyron. The First Order has stationed a fuel depot in low orbit and have been siphoning the various gases for a considerable period of time. So much so, that a massive vortex has formed while the primary suction tubes extend down to the planet. There are several moons that show signs of strip mining operations and a great deal of debris litters the space over the moons. There are no inhabited planets within the system.</p>

<p style="margin: 1em 0;">Neither side expected to encounter the other, indeed to the First Order the Emperor’s Hammer is a rogue Imperial Remnant faction, since it did not join in The Battle of Jakku and Operation Cinder.</p>

<p style="margin: 1em 0;">Likewise, only Grand Admiral Ronin knows the original orders given to the Emperor’s Hammer by the late Emperor Palpatine. Grand Admiral Rapier and Sector Admiral Kamjin “Maverick” Lap’lamiz only know what Grand Admiral Ronin has shared with them over the years.</p>

<p style="margin: 1em 0;">The First Order, in its initial communication attempted to order the Emperor’s Hammer to submit to its authority, something that the forces of the EH refused, setting the scene for Imperial Storm VII.</p>

<p style="margin: 1em 0;">The TIE Corps will therefore attempt to eliminate the First Order forces in the Gasriese System and acquire its Fuel Depot at the edge of First Order territory; the acquisition of any equipment will be a bonus. Whilst this goes on, the Sith Eternal will also attempt to contact the EH to gain an understanding of its intentions.</p>
