{{Q|They say the force is a mystery, but one thing is clear... it serves me|Sam Rajax}}
Sam Rajax, otherwise known as his full name of Samuel Tempus Rajax is a Kiffar Dark Jedi and Governor serving the [[Emperor's Hammer]] and the rest of the Empire's remnant. He is currently a [[Dark Jedi Knight]] in the [[Dark Brotherhood]] and a [[Baron]] in the [[Directorate|Emperor's Hammer Directorate]]. If nothing else, Sam yearns for knowledge and power. He refuses to be named a weak and defenseless scholar of the [[Krath]] and will prove his worth through his knowledge.

Currently, his life mission is to use his resources that he has gained through the Dark Brotherhood and Directorate to hunt and gather Force Artifacts. He does, however, join missions in [[House Drakonan]] and more specifically the phyle, [[Dark Wizards]] when the reward suits him or helps him on his mission.

==Description==
Sam Rajax is described as a good many things, but evil and powerful has got to be the most used...
===Mental Description===
Sam Rajax's personality reflects on his history, they're both filled with violence and gore.

Rajax is known to do anything to succeed, and will make sure he '''never''' fails. It's a proven fact that he will back stab an ''ally'' so that he gets all the glory. Sam thinks of himself as nobility and that he is better then all others. However, he will show respect to those that have earned it. The few people who have earned Rajax's respect are ''Cube'' Rancorous, Sam's former master; Miles Prower, a friend of Sam and his System Moff; Czulvang Lah, the Grand Master of the Dark Brotherhood; and last, but not least, the retired Farrin Xies, former Headmaster and Grand Moff.

Other then those limited people, he doesn't show respect and usually degrades them with insults. If they are ever caught alone, Sam might even instigate a fight if he really '''hates''' them, he currently only hates his ''rival'' Jaorrus Morraus.

In a battle, Sam is ruthless and won't give any sympathy for the weak. This includes his teammates as well. If somebody asks him to help them, he will refuse making them either do it themselves or perish.

Overall, he's very, very, very cold hearted. The only times he's ever nice is if he is attracted to someone, or requires their friendship for his own personal gain.

===Physical Description===
Rajax stands 6'2" (six feet two inches) tall and weighs around 175lbs (pounds). He has brown hair that he usually never styles, and just lets hang down. It's medium length, but hasn't been photographed any time soon. Before the restructure, he had short, shaved hair that wasn't more then half an inch long.

Despite being a Krath and supposed to be studying all the time, Sam is rather muscular. He isn't too muscular, though, but enough to lop a head off of a person's neck without any difficulty, a feat he is most proud of, and has tested. He was born with crystal blue eyes, but due to his Dark Side corruption taking a toll on his physical being they were turned into a crimson like color. Not to mention when truly in tune with his Dark Side powers. This is only truly shown when he's about to kill somebody, his face becomes a bit corroded and his skin starts to form cracks in it. Sometimes, they will even form scars -- this happens to be the reason he has three scars on his face. The scars make up a X shape on his left cheek, and have another on running up the right side of his face.

He is usually seen wearing his Krath Dark Jedi Knight robes, and unarmed when not on a mission. Although he is unarmed, he claims he isn't due to the Force being the best weapon of all. However, when on a mission he usually wears a brown cloak over his Light, custom Fiber Armor and, as always, his lightsaber ''Semitim'' clipped to his belt.

His other equipment varies from Cortosis Shield Wrist Blades, Krath Warswords, and personalized blasters. He usually always has some sort of tome or scroll for reading with him, along with a personal datapad for logging information.

Also, despite being a Kiffar, he doesn't seem to have any of their tattoos making him pass off as a regular human.

==History==
Sam Rajax's history is filled with perils and tragedies that have plagued his life since the start. It began with his parents dying, and the most recent was a terrible sickness.
===Before the Hammer===
Before he was placed into the Hammer Sam Rajax was known as Tyrka Stryfe. He was born in Dearic City, Talus. His mother and father's names were unknown as they both died when Tyrka was four.

For the next thirteen years he lived with his brothers in Dearic City, constantly hearing of the growing Imperial powers. A town called Sanctum Malleus. At the age of seventeen he was hired by his brothers who taught him everything they knew about mechanics. The three brothers created the Stryfe Starships. They were it was a company that repaired and built starships.

They were doing good, became a semi-wealthy family. At the age of twenty Tyrka moved to Corellia and joined the Bounty Hunter's Guild, which was at that time, serving the Galactic Empire and their Reform. They were having a small war with the CorSec on Corellia, which was invading much of their territory. He was invited into one of the most noble houses called the Crimson Nova. They hunted the Jedi and rogue Force Adepts who refused to fall to the Empire's will!

They trained him in the ways of martial arts, as those would be the only ways to defeat them without using the Force. Took him a year to learn the required martial arts to accept a mission, these two were Teras Kasi and Echani martial arts. He preferred the Teras Kasi training, but he'll rely on the Echani's abilities to sense the next movement in battle with a Jedi. Because he wasn't raised with many other Kiffar he never discovered his force powers, or Psychometery.

The Reformation of the Empire hired the Tyrka to hunt down a rogue Force Adept who refuses to join the reformation. The hunt was on an Iktotchi Force Adept named Tiikal Sho'jan. He's been killing off Imperial Stormtroopers and Dark Jedi serving the Empire. He was located on the planet of Felucia. It appeared he desired to study the life there, and perhaps locate the Sarlacc there.

He landed at the tip of the Ancient Abyss, looking down into the teeth and Sarlacc's pit. Cracking his neck and his knuckles he leaped onto a lower platform. Dressed in his Universal Clothing and equipped Cortosis Wrist Blades he quickly moved himself deeper and deeper into the Ancient Abyss. He could somehow sense where the Ikototchi Force Adept was. Thinking to himself he said Eighty meters to the left and twenty meters down.

Flipping down more he sent his wrist blades out, slicing at a tooth's gum area. Slashing right through it while still running it fell over, a large thump awoke the Felucians living close bye. A large blue Felucian leaped in front of him. This paused Tyrka for a moment, before he made a quick dash around the Felucian penetrating his skin with the Cortosis Wrist blade. He continued to cut through him as he spun around, kicking him onto the floor. Making the final blow to the Felucian, Tyrka whispered at him, "I've been trained to kill Jedi and their likes, your amateur Force control is nothing compared to the training and practice I've gone through." He sent the rest of the wrist blade into the Felucian's skull, instantly killing him.

The death of the Felucian drew the Force Adept closer, he didn't like the Felucian's blood being spilled. The adept rushed at him, force pulling a lightsaber hilt off of his belt. As the adept ignited it Tyrka parried the blade up with his two Cortosis Sheild wrist blades. This made the lightsaber short out. With the adept's main tool defective he was almost useless, however a wielder of the force is never useless.

As Tyrka made a dash to the man he retracted the Wrist Blades, placing himself in the Teras Kasi opening stance. His hands were spread apart making a flat palm. The Force Adept looked at him, calling upon the force move Alter Environment. Sending the move around Tyrka he formed a barrier of ice around him.

Looking into the Kiffar's eyes Tiikal spoke through the Force to him, "''You are strong in the Force, why do you serve the Empire. You could rebel, you could be so much stronger! The Dark Side only weakens you.''"

Tyrka soon broke the connection and a burst of energy flew out of his hands. It seemed he too had control over the Force, however he couldn't use it as it was undeveloped. The thin layer of ice broke and Tyrka was free. Moving his hand back into the Teras Kasi positing he quickly spun around the Force adept, sending his palm into the back of his neck. It soon hit his spine, and in one powerful hit he was paralyzed, however they could still communicate through the Force.

"''I'm not going to turn my back on the Empire, if you are true to your word I will go to the ancient homeworld of the Sith and learn the truth about them. I will understand how to use my abilities to kill off weaklings like you. I will not be killed like my parents, and the Empire is what's going to succeed. They are going to become strong, they will live!''"

"''Foolish Assassin, you're never going to win against the New Republic... You're an idiot to believe so.''"

"''Goodbye, hunt.''"

Tyrka palmed the Force Adept's chest, winding and knocking him out. Carrying the Adept back to his Personal Ship called Huntress they flew back to Corellia, handing the adept over to the Guild master. Before handing him over, he looted the body, finding a small pyramid shaped object in his robes. Later on the ship he activated it. The object was a holocron, a holographic Dark Jedi arose from the holocron and talked about his journey and life at the Korriban Academy.

With the planet of Korriban widely known now it was easy to get there through hyperspace travel. Soon after landing he ventured into the Academy and looted a lot of the chests and footlockers in there. He found another holocron, it told of a great Dark Jedi-Mandalorian family, the Rajax. They've had Sith Lords in the ancient times and were at one time advisers to ancient Sith Kings.

Thinking to himself, he decided he needed a new name, he would be too widely known due to his family's starship business. Deciding to honor the ancient family of Rajax he renamed himself after them. However, that was only his surname, he still needed a first name. He took upon the name of Samuel an ancient Teras Kasi master.

===The Brotherhood===
Sam left the guild and decided for forward his own plans. He was constantly seen traveling to Korriban to meditate and take in the Dark Side presence there. This gave him a lust for power, and started his corrosion. His first act as a newly found Dark Jedi was to learn how to control his powers more. He looted everything he could find from the enclave on Korriban and it was basically made his new home. He found scrolls and tomes on how to control and use his new found powers along with the history of the Sith and other Dark Jedi types. His favorite were the Krath, those who were very potent in their Dark Side "Magics" and were founded by dabblers, much like Sam's self.

Not long after Sam felt the lust for battle again, and went to an Imperial School. The best school on "this side of Coruscant" some called it, but Imperial Weapons and Tactics School (IWATS) of the Emperor's Hammer was it's true name. The institute had a bunch of sub-academies where you could focus on a simple subject, but some of them such as the Intelligence Division and the Dark Brotherhood were restricted and required some type of entry task.

To get into the Dark Brotherhood you needed to be invited by another member, or be tested by the current Grandmaster. Rajax did the first of the two, and due to his capabilities of using the force he was invited in by a Dark Jedi Knight. His name remains unknown, but his command in the force was said to be powerful.

Inside of the Brotherhood there were three orders you could choose from, each of them had a specific purpose. Sith focused more on the protection of the Brotherhood with fighter piloting, the Obelisk focused on the protection of the brotherhood by using lightsaber combat, and the last of the three was the Krath, Sam's favorite, they focused on protecting the brotherhood by their knowledge and mastery of the Force.

Sam took the wrong path for him his first time around, and choose the Sith Order. He didn't enjoy it as much as he thought he would, as he didn't fight flying around to be the funnest thing in the world like the rest of the Sith. He would rather study his powers and learn to command them without any difficulty. It's easy to say he changed his order not long after and decided to go with what he should of chosen in the first place, the Order of the Krath.

===Becoming a Governor===
A few months into his new career as a Dark Jedi he had shown his utmost potential and many in the Dark Brotherhood seen that his power was in the art of persuasion. Rajax impressed one of his superiors enough that he was invited into the the Directorate's Governor Academy. This was an institute where they trained the Imperial's future rulers. He decided it would be helpful to his own plans in becoming the next Emperor if he got leadership experience.

He signed up for the Governor's Academy and within a few weeks he was at the top of his class. Inside of the academy he met dozens of people he would eventually rival in becoming a higher position inside of the Directorate, but he also met a few allies such as Miles Prower.

Miles Prower was elected into the office of Ghenna's Governor General, while Rajax was assigned to Osiris where be worked his way up from Regional Governor to Governor General. From the planet of Osiris. Not long after he was requested to transfer to Thor to become a governor general there and help the Phare system out. He did it without a second thought because he could serve under his friend from the DGA, Miles Prower.

He was promoted to the rank of Knight and gained the title Sir on the planet of Thor...

===The new Ranks===
Sam Rajax used every second of time to make himself stronger, smarter, and overall more powerful. He was placed into a Krath Phyle before the restructure. In the phyle he served under Klaus "''Outsider''" Steiner. He used his powers of persuasion, dedication, and hard work to forward himself in ranks.

Under Steiner, Rajax met his master, and his rival. During their first mission Sam was unstoppable, and showed his full potential the entire time. In the end, he was a large help in taking down the Ancient Dark Jedi who they were battling.

''Cube'' Rancorous was proud to see an acolyte being a large help and decided to approach Rajax. He offered him the position of his apprentice, and Sam surely took it. He would take any chance he could get at making his time spent in the Dark Brotherhood shorter, and bring him closer to becoming the new Emperor.

Under Cube's tutelage he found his rival, Jaorrus who was another member of his phyle. To this day Rajax still thinks of Jaorrus as his main rival.

Time passed, Rajax and the other tyros went on a number of missions to bring artifacts to the phyle, and soon enough, Rajax was promoted to the rank of Jedi Hunter.

From that rank he was promoted to the leader of a different phyle, the Warders of Ask'ari. The warders of Ask'ari would always hold a place near and dear in his heart but during his reign he got promoted to Dark Jedi Knight, and then started to focus Directorate.

Inside of the Directorate, Rajax was using his powers on the planet of Thor to torture the citizens. He started to become more and more evil everyday and because the planet's citizen's feared the Governor General, they did everything he said and because of this he was able to create an underground city which his lieutenant governor Myn Donos thought of the name. He declared the name Taranis.

Because of his outstanding activity and his great idea of making an underground city, Miles Prower decided to recommend Sam for a promotion. Farrin Xies, the Grand Moff agreed and Sam gained the new rank of Baronet.

Not long after Sam was struck with a sickness that only effected Kiffar. What that sickness was is unknown, but it put him out of commission for a while.

===Return to Power===
Sam Rajax returned to the regions of the Emperor's Hammer after the restructure. While he was gone he traveled to Kiffu and learned about his true heritage. He met with Czulvang Lah and Exar Kit, they told him that he'd be serving under Dark Adept Exar Kit in the Hetaria Taranis, which shares the same name as the underground city of Thor however there is no relation.

He returned to Thor and received a message from Miles Prower, it told him of the things that have happened during his ''vacation''. One of the events on the list was Farrin Xies stepping down, Rajax was depressed that one of the men he respected in the Hammer had stepped down, but thought of it as a new chance to gain higher power.

==Possessions==
'' '''Mandatum''' '' - ''Mandatum'' is a personal lightsaber that was created as the final task for Sam to officially be known as a Dark Jedi Knight. The hilt is bronze and black, one of the standard hilts of the Dark Brotherhood. The core of the blade itself is violet, but has a silvery shine around it. The secondary gem used inside of it would be a Kaiburr gem. These are considered the ''normal'' Kaibur gems as there are many that litter the planet surface of Kaiburr, where the ancient Obelisk of the Obelisk order was once housed.

'''''Twin Snakes''''' - The ''twin snakes'' are a pair of daggers that were passed down to Sam as his only family heirloom that he inherited from his father. They hold a very tribal look, the hilts being bandaged and a leather scabbard over the actual blade. The blade itself is made out of cortosis-weave, however it is even more special due to the fact that it is laced with a liquid version of the synox poison.
==Combat Types==
Despite being a Krath, Sam is adept in his own style of combat as well as a basic lightsaber form. In battle, he has been known to triumph against enemies due to his unmatched skill in the styles that he does focus on.
===Lightsaber Forms===
'''''Makashi''''' - Sam is a long practitioner of the ancient lightsaber form Makashi. Makashi is known to have it's moves swung together like a dance, calling it the most elegant of saber forms. However, it is also as elegant as it is powerful. Nearing the mastery of this form, Sam is known to sometimes be seen, ''dancing'' alone while he should be combat training.
===Martial Arts===
'''''Tribal Combat''''' - Sam's Tribal Combat styling is none other that the combat teachings that his clan practiced. The style focuses mostly around swords and daggers, but utilizes a little hand-to-hand combat. It focuses mostly on attacks to important body parts such as tendons and arteries. For example, one of the most effective moves would be to slide on your knee towards the opponent and slice his Achilles's tendons.
==Trivia==
*Sam is the self proclaimed patriarch of his Kiffar clan, as his father was a high ranking member of the tribal council and he is the only offspring of the old council.

The Emperor's Hammer (officially the ''Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet'') is a [[Star Wars]] [[video game]] and [[fan fiction]] club that was founded in [[1994]] by [[Grand Admiral]] [[Ronin]].

== Subgroups ==
=== Active ===
==== [[TIE Corps|TIE Fighter Corps]] ====
The selected elite TIE Fighter Pilots that battle with the Rebel forces (i.e. other online clubs) in XWing vs TIE Fighter and TIE Fighter competitions/battles. Although all Pilots must first meet the strict [http://www.websitefactory.de/recruit/ entrance requirements], they serve the Imperial Navy as the most elite and highly trained starfighter pilots in the Outer Rim Territories. Entering pilots must first apply and submit a pilot file for review and then be appointed a Position in the Fleet..The online (XWing vs TIE Fighter) players will find very useful information at the [http://coo.is-god.com/ Combat Operations Office]...(game platforms: TIE Fighter , TIE Fighter CD or XWing vs TIE Fighter)...

==== [[Dark Brotherhood|The Dark Brotherhood of Jedi]] ====
The Dark Brotherhood of the Jedi serves as a secret combat and training society for all those interested in learning the ways of the [[Dark Side of the Force]]. ANY Member of the Fleet (even those in other SubGroups...!) may join the Dark Brotherhood without a second email address...! These Dark Jedi gain Force powers, Rank within their Order , DB only missions, Medals, Membership/Leadership in a Dark Jedi House or Clan, and prestige as they contribute to the Brotherhood ...(anticipated game platform: [[Star Wars: Jedi Knight|Jedi Knight]])...

==== [[Hammer's Fist|Hammer's Fist Stormtrooper Legion]] ====
The elite Stormtroopers of the Emperor's Hammer. These troopers consist of highly trained Imperial [[Stormtrooper|Stormtroopers]] that perform special operations for the Fleet. There are currently [[Zero-G]] [[Spacetrooper|Spacetroopers]], [[Scout Trooper|Scout Troopers]], [[Sandtrooper|Desert]] and [[Cold Assault Trooper|Cold Assault]]/[[Snowtrooper]] Platoons...(game platform: Dark Forces)...

==== [[EH Directorate]] ====
The Emperor's Hammer Directorate is under revision/creation. A combination of the old [[EH Imperial Survey Corps]] and the [[EH Civilian Command Authority]] (CCA), the EH DIR will become the group within the EH that concentrates on system politics and fleet tactics using new games from LucasArts...(anticipated game platform: [[Star Wars: Rebellion|Rebellion]])

The EH DIR will also incorporate the duties of the former Imperial Survey Corps (ISC) which are the Scouts for the Fleet. The ISC Corvettes and survey ships continually roam the Outer Rim Territories, searching for new planetary systems for the Empire to "liberate"...The ISC typically provides writeups and maps for new Star Systems (in West End RPG format) to be considered for inclusion in the [http://members.aol.com/garonin/sys-man.zip EH Systems Manual]...

==== [[The Fringe]] ====
The Emperor's Hammer features online Star Wars Roleplaying Games (RPGs) which rely heavily on existing West End Games Star Wars RPG (TM) Rules and Sourcebooks. So, if you are already a Star Wars RPG gamer and have stumbled across the EH RPG, be advised that the Emperor's Hammer has begun accepting "Players (PLs)" in groups of 3-7, each group is led by a Gamemaster (GM) who all report to the Chief Gamemaster (CGM). The "adventures" are typically set within the EH Territories (please see the [http://sysman.minos.net/ Systems Manual]) and require a separate EH Persona (i.e. ID Line). (game platforms: West End Games Star Wars RPG Manuals and Sourcebooks, upcoming [http://www.wizards.com/ Wizards of the Coast] and [http://www.starwarsgalaxies.com/ Star Wars Galaxies Massive Online RPG]).

=== Defunct ===
==== [[Infiltrator Wing]] ====
Many former [[Rebel Alliance|Rebellion]] Pilots have seen the error of their ways and returned to the [[New Order of the Empire]]. Due to the constant need of the remnants of the [[Imperial Navy]] for new starfighter pilots, these pilots have been allowed to continue flying their Rebel "alphabet" fighters (i.e. the [[X-Wing|XWing]], [[A-Wing|AWing]], [[Y-Wing]], and [[B-Wing]]) and [[capital ship|Capital Ships]] in the service of the Empire...The Infiltrator Wing will be an invaluable internal training tool with the existing EH TIE Fighter Corps when the anticipated [[Star Wars: X-Wing versus TIE Fighter|XWing vs TIE Fighter]] is released...(game platform: [[Star Wars: X-Wing|X-Wing)...

==== [[Corporate Division]] ====
The "slicers" of the Fleet. The individual "corporations" are responsible for new fighters,capital ships, weapons and general PC game "innovations" in the service of the Fleet...In these dangerous days after Endor and with the Emperor's Hammer Fleet spread throughout the [[EH space|Emperor's Hammer Territories]], the Corporate Division has been given the authority to field small [[MilCom Picket Fleets]] for suppression and defense...

==== [[Bounty Hunters' Guild|The Bounty Hunters' Guild]] ====
The Fleet Commander occasionally authorizes the use of independent [[bounty hunter|Bounty Hunters]] for the greater good of the Empire...Such missions typically are held in an open forum on the [[World Wide Web]]/WWW (i.e. first come, first win style of '[[Internet Relay Chat|IRC]] hunts') and include prisoner retrieval, target identification and termination/capture assignments...Rewards/Prizes are earned and Members advance in the Ranks according to their Account status measured in [[Imperial Credit|Imperial Credits]]...

==== [[Intelligence Division]] ====
The eyes and ears of the Emperor's Hammer in the chaotic region of the [[Outer Rim]]. The ID keeps a close watch not only on our internal Fleet workings but also external threats...Individual 'Bureaus' and 'Branches' of Intel perform highly secret and critical functions for the Fleet...These can include VIP escort, infiltration, information gathering, etc...Although [[TIE Fighter]] Missions are used by some Branches of 'Intel', purchase of TIE Fighter is not needed to join Intel as WWW 'IRC hunts' are held as well...

==== [[Smuggler's Guild]] ====
In these uncertain times after the [[Battle of Endor]], the [[Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet]], located far out in the Outer Rim, must use the services of less than reputable [[Smuggler|Smugglers]] to keep our Imperial war machine supplied...The Guild performs primarily WWW IRC hunt missions but some TIE Fighter missions where the player flies small capital ships (i.e. [[Corellian Corvette|Corellian Corvettes]], [[Muurian Transport|Muurian Transports]], [[Shuttle|Shuttles]], etc...) and gains 'rewards' and thus, advancement in the Guild...

==== [[The Agressor Wing]] ====
The selected elite TIE Fighter and XWing Pilots that will represent the Fleet in "official" 'Campaigns' with the Rebel forces (i.e. other online clubs) in XWing vs TIE Fighter battles. Although all AW Pilots must meet the strict entrance requirements presented at the AW WWW site above, they can be from ANY group or Subgroup within the Emperor's Hammer. When a new Campaign is posted by the [mailto:vadandrew@aol.com EH Training Officer], these AW Pilots will then be assigned on a Temporary Duty Assignment (TDA) to the Aggressor Wing while still maintaining their existing Positions...(game platforms required: X-Wing or TIE Fighter for training, XWing vs TIE Fighter for combat)...

==== [[EH Imperial Survey Corps]] ====

==== [[EH Civilian Command Authority]] ====

==== [[Imperial Weapons And Tactics School]] ====
The Imperial Weapons and Tactics School IWATS (now led by the Dean, [mailto:thrawn551@aol.com Admiral Thrawn]) has become the premiere starfighter pilot training institution for the Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet...The IWATS 'classes' are held on Sif in the Phare System and conduct starfighter training exercises near Baldyr, a moon of Ullyr (see the [http://members.aol.com/garonin/sys-man.zip EH Systems Manual] for a description of the Phare System)...There are already a dozen "courses" available for EH Members to take including Fighter Identification, XWing vs TIE Fighter tactics, EH Mission design and HTML website editing/creation...Several "Majors" are also available...The courses included in the IWATS training program are highly recommended for all EH Members...Also note, that successful completion of the basic IWATS training is required to be accepted into the Aggressor Wing...

==== [[Combat Operations Office]] ====

==== [[Dark Jedi Shadow Academy]] ====
The Shadow Academy seeks to train young Dark Jedi in the ways of the Dark Side of the Force...The Shadow Academy, located on Aurora Prime, is the primary training facility for new members of the Brotherhood of the Dark Jedi. At the Shadow Academy, new Apprentices will be trained by more powerful Dark Jedi in the ways of the Force as they begin their journey toward the Dark Side.

==== [[Grand Master's Royal Guard]] ====
The Grand Master of the Dark Brotherhood has been granted the privilege of creating an elite cadre of Dark Jedi for the purposes of training and online gameplay to represent the Emperor's Hammer. Although other facets of the Club can use Jedi Knight as a game platform, the Grand Master's Royal Guard will represent the Hammer in most online contests against other clubs...

==== [[Carrida Stormtrooper Military Academy]] ====
The Carrida Stormtrooper Academy teaches the Stormroopers of the Hammer's Fist the essential skills to survive in a post-Endor Empire. Training includes gaming hints, editing of Dark Forces and Quake (w/Star Wars 'patches') and assignment to specific platoons. Rewards include classifications and certifications.

==== [[EH XvT/JK Competition Ladder]] ====
The EH XWing vs. TIE Fighter (XvT)/Balance of Power (BoP) and Jedi Knight (JK)/Mysteries of the Sith (MoS) Competition Ladder allows ANY Member of the Emperor's Hammer to enter an internal online slugfest. Players signup and then meet each other online to win matches in these game platforms and gain points and thus advancement up the Ladder. If you really think you are that good, sign up!...(game platforms: Jedi Knight, X-wing vs. TIE Fighter)

==== [[Infiltrator Wing Elite Guard]] ====
The IW Elite Guard is the [http://www.infiltratorwing.org/ Infiltrator Wing's] XWing vs TIE Fighter (XvT) branch of operations, fighting the [http://fly.to/tiecorps TIE Fighter Corps] and [http://www.rebelsquadrons.org/ Rebel Squadrons]. The rank structure is non-com ranks, so not to confuse them w/ regular IW ranks. The IW-Chief Warrant Officer is in charge of all IW-GRD operations and works with the RS Liaison Officer (a member of the RS) to set up fun rival competitions between the two fleets.

==== [[EH Advanced Guard]] ====
As "Ambassadors" of the Emperor's Hammer, the EH Advanced Guard is comprised of only the most trusted and loyal Imperials. The EH Advanced Guard represents the Emperor's Hammer to various online clubs, magazines, Internet Service Providers (ISPs), WWW sites, etc. In addition, the Ambassadors of the Advanced Guard have made recruitment of new Imperials to the Emperor's Hammer their primary goal. The Advanced Guard is led by the [mailto:la@emperorshammer.org Lord Ambassador] (LA) and the Ambassadors (AM).

==== [[Imperial Senate]] ====
Recently, the [mailto:fc@emperorshammer.org Fleet Commander (GA Ronin)] has received several requests from non-gamers to join the Emperor's Hammer. Consequently, in light of the "historical facts" released during Episode I: The Phantom Menace, a new Subgroup will soon be formed. It will initially be simple in command structure so as to allow room for growth. Although the entire Imperial Senate was officially dissolved by decree of Emperor Palpatine just prior to the destruction of the first Death Star at Yavin IV, Grand Admiral Ronin has allowed the Imperial Citizenry to reform the Imperial Senate in the Outer Rim to assist with the management of civilian resources throughout the Territories and to free the Fleet's military structure to defeating the ever-lingering Rebellion.

The Subgroup will be comprised of an "unlimited" number of Senators (but remember the one EH ID Line/email address rule...!). When a Senator joins Imperial Senate Subgroup, he/she MUST select a planet of origin (ONLY worlds/systems from existing, published Star Wars sources or the [http://members.xoom.com/Directorate/sysman.htm EH Systems Manual] may be used...!).

==== [[EH: Star Wars CCG]] ====
In order to provide a decidedly "Imperial perspective" to the popular [[Star Wars: Customizable Card Game|Star Wars Customizable Card Game]] (SW:CCG) produced by [[Decipher]], the newest Subgroup has been added to the Emperor's Hammer. EH:CCG will utilize existing published cards in online, real-time CCG gameplay.

==== [[Fleet Naval Corps]] ====
The Fleet Naval Corps opened the doors of Echo Company to new recruits. The Naval Corps exists introduce an Naval element into the TIE Corps, and officers joining the Naval Corps will be assigned to command the numerous Cruisers, Frigates and Corvettes that accompany the Imperial Star Destroyers of the TIE Fighter Corps. The Naval Corps will utilize X-Wing Alliance to conduct Fleet Wargames similar to the recent Fleet Strategic Battle Exercise - Imperial Storm.

==== [[Outer Rim Melee Night Command Center]] ====
The Emperor's Hammer TIE Corps Pilots meet every Saturday night at 8-11 PM EST to play XWing vs. TIE Fighter (XvT) and XWing Alliance (XWA) online. Meet other players online first to setup competitions via the [http://www.emperorshammer.org/chat1.html Internet Relay Chat (IRC)]...!

==== [[The Outer Rim MUD]] ====
The Emperor's Hammer Multi-User Dungeon (MUD) has been created with the assistance of [mailto:micron@net.bluemoon.net AD Ryan] and [mailto:mxc13@orion.scasd.k12.pa.us Zoomba]. The EH MUD will include special tourneys with our online rivals, the [http://www.rebelsquadrons.org/ Rebel Squadrons] and will be essentially text-based online adventures...

==== [[The Guild]] ====
In these uncertain times after the Battle of Endor, the Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet, located far out in the Outer Rim, must use the services of less than reputable Smugglers, Bounty Hunters, and Mercenaries to keep our Imperial war machine supplied... The Guild performs primarily WWW missions, IRC hunts, some TIE Fighter missions, "Star Wars casino" games (i.e. Sabacc), etc. Members of The Guild gain Imperial Credits and thus advancement in The Guild...

==== [[Dark Jedi Brotherhood|rogue Dark Brotherhood]] ====
Once a part of the Emperor's Hammer, this subgroup broke away from the EH in [[2003]] or [[2004]].

Hetaeriae Validus was formed after the 'de-clanning' of 25 ABY by [[Grand Master]] [[Czulvang Lah]], formed mainly from the remnants of the old House [[Oriens Obscurum]] in [[Clan Arcona]] it has always been a strong fixture within the Structure of the Brotherhood.

At the point of its inception, the Dark Jedi of Validus boarded their newly named [[M/CRV Greed]] and headed out into the unknown to find a home for themselves. After traveling through the various territories of the Emperor's Hammer the Jedi found themselves in the [[Pirath System]] in the outer reaches of the [[Beta Sector]].

Having found a suitable system and been incidentally low on fuel at the time, the Dark Jedi decided to explore the system for a while, in the hopes of finding fuel for the Corvette. With the members of Validus having various levels of security access throughout the fleet, they quickly managed to tap into the secure data in the fleet [[System Manual]].

While scanning through the System Manual the eager [[Dark Jedi Knight]] [[Keth D'Jek|Keth]] found a possible base of operations for his new family, the small Sanctuary Moon of [[Lien]] in orbit of the Imperial colony world [[Hiran]], mentioning this possibility only to his [[Dux]] a Sith Warrior by the name of [[Blade]], with the approval of his [[Dux]] the young Jedi boarded his personal fighter and headed to the planets surface.

It took Keth only a few hours on the moon to be convinced that it would be the perfect base of operations for Validus, it turned out that this planet was not frequented by the locals of the system and even the [[Imperial Military]] forces tended to give the moon as wide a berth as possible, this was in no small part due to the belief that the [[Sorcerers of Darkness]] still inhabited the forest moon.

During his brief exploratory trip on Lien, Keth found the famed ruins of the [[Cathedral of Darkness]], which was once the base of operations for a group of exiled Dark Jedi. It didn't take long for the skilled Dark Jedi of Validus to refit the Cathedral and the surrounding area to suit their own needs.

After taking a month to settle in to their new base of operations, the Dark Jedi of Validus have set up an extensive Piracy operation in the System, using their Jedi powers and advanced ships to make short work of any System Defense Force patrols they encounter.

=Introduction=

Since the creation of the Knights of Eos, the Dark Hall has been the nerve center of power and communication of the organization. First built during the reign of Darth Kane Vader, the Hall has undergone several transformations throughout its life, with each Dark Lord adding his own personal additions to the structure. While many of the lower-ranked Jedi visit the Hall for important ceremonies and functions, it is only the Shadow Chamber which has permanent residence within.

While originally constructed above ground, the Dark Lords began to see the need for concealment. Thus, the Dark Hall began to burrow its way into the crust of Eos, slowly hiding itself from the prying eyes of its enemies. Today, except for the dome of the main audience chamber and the entrance to a hidden hangar bay, the entire Hall lies beneath the surface of the moon.

==Exterior (Audience Chamber Dome and Hangar)==

The Dark Hall is not visible to the human eye, thanks to technology that cleverly disguises the dome of the Audience Hall and the opening of the hangar bay. The Intelligence Division has set up jamming satellites in orbit around Eos to deflect sensor scans, and the SSD Avenger and ISD-II Subjugator provide practical defense. In order to gain access to the Dark Hall proper, one must have the necessary clearance codes. Those who do not are incinerated by the concealed turbolasers on the moon's surface.

The hangar that supports the Knights of Eos consists of five separate decks, concealed within a large cliff a few miles from the hidden dome, more than enough space for visiting vehicles and Tau Squadron, the Dark Lord of the Sith's personal escort. Five turbolifts in the back of the hangar provide a way to the bottom of the hangar, where a short hall leads to the foyer of the Main Hall.

==Main Hall (Foyer, Audience Chamber) [Level 1]==

The foyer is the first part of the Main Hall any visitor sees. The ceiling is supported by eight columns made of durasteel. A flowing red carpet leads directly to a large pair of double doors with the Knights of Eos' insignia carved across their surfaces. Benches, chairs, lights and a few plants line the sides of the foyer, giving it a noble yet almost comfortable look. Four turbolifts, two on either side of the middle of the foyer, lead to the lower levels of the Hall.

The Audience Chamber, where formal ceremonies and similar affairs are conducted, resembles a large cathedral. Hundreds upon hundreds of dark-colored benches line the main floor, providing ample seating room for the members of the Knights of Eos. In the center of the chamber lies the seating for the Shadow Chamber on a raised dais. Each Council member is offered a tall, ebony chair furnished with cushions of the color of their order, and their position’s insignia carved on the head. The Dark Lord of the Sith sits on a large, ornate throne-like chair furnished in gold, while the Dark Prophet sits to the left in a similar chair. Above the dais hang large banners that bear the symbols of the Knights of Eos and the three Orders: the Krath, Obelisk, and Sith. The ceiling is domed, and a large fresco depicting several events from Dark Side lore and myth adorn it. Two large balconies sit opposite each other in the walls near the dais; this seating is reserved for special guests and visitors.

==Recreation/Living Area (Game Room, Sparring Arena, Lounge, Members' Quarters) [Level 2]==

Taking a turbolift down brings a person to one of the more comfortable areas of the Dark Hall. Level 2 is one of the largest areas, containing several recreational rooms and the quarters for visiting members and VIPs.

The Lounge is a large chamber with several chairs, couches, tables and holovids. Comfortable and relaxing in its appearance, this is where members often come after a day's work to either to watch broadcasts across the Imperial networks, to play a game of Sabacc with friends, or just to sit and rest.

The Game Room is an extension of the Lounge, separated by glass doors. Tables for holo-chess and various holo-simulators litter the room. Members have been known to use the holo-simulators to create games of their own design, some of which become rather popular throughout the Clans.

The Sparring Arena is another attachment to the Lounge, where members can duel with one another in lightsaber combat. Although used almost exclusively by those of the Obelisk Order, some Sith and Krath are known to test their mettle in the Arena. A special holographic system allows users to create environmental hazards, obstructions and other obstacles to heighten the challenge.

Connected to these areas by way of another door at the far end of the Lounge, are the Members' Quarters, the living area for many people. Each room contains a bed, couch, table, bureau, and shelf, as well as a bathroom. Rooms reserved for special visitors are more spacious and ornate.

==Work Area (Offices, Cafeteria, Conference Rooms) [Level 3]==

Below the recreational area lies the office space of the Dark Hall. This is where the Shadow Chamber normally meets with fellow Council members, visitors and other members of the Knights of Eos in addition to conducting normal day-to-day work. To the left of the turbolift are the actual offices. They lie down a long corridor, with the Dark Lord of the Sith's office straight at the end. Each office is decorated in a fashion that best befits its current occupant.

Opposite the corridor of offices is another corridor which contains a number of meeting rooms that are used by the Shadow Chamber when conferring with each other, with visitors, and even for long-distance communication. Tribunes and their entourage are also free to use the meeting rooms. The rooms themselves are spacious, with long tables and plush swivel chairs.

The first room one sees when getting off the turbolift, however, is the cafeteria. Dark Adept and Acolyte alike often eat in this room. Circular tables surrounded by chairs sit on a carpeted floor, with all the food displayed out in a buffet style. While all of the Dark Lord's have been radically different, they all seemed to know this important tenet of morality: feed your people well. The meals served in the Dark Halls cafeteria have gained fleet-wide recognition as being among the best served anywhere in Imperial space. It has been said that the Battlegroup Commanders and even the Flight Officer have badgered Grand Admiral Ronin for such a stellar cooking staff on the ships, but the Fleet Commander has as yet to approve the idea.

==Archives/Order Areas (Library, Archives, Krath, Sith, and Obelisk Training Areas) [Level 4]==

At this level the need for special access codes begins. Assuming access is granted, the turbolifts descend into the center of a dark, quiet room, permeated with silence. This is the Library, which is lined with shelves upon shelves of books filled with Dark Side knowledge and lore. Krath scholars are frequently seen scouring the shelves at all hours, hoping to discover another key to power or the location of a long lost Dark Side artifact.

The room itself is a square, with four doors in the center of each wall. Three of the doors are suffused by colored lights, each with the color of a respective Order. These are the training areas.
The Krath's area is the most mundane of the three, lined with more books and a few artifacts, the Krath come in here to study and confer with fellow scholars on obscure points of philosophy. A larger, open part of the area is lined with chairs and a small stage-like structure, which is used for lectures.

The Obelisk area contains small, mini-arenas in which to practice. However, the entire section may be transformed into one vast holographic representation of a certain area or place, which is often done when the Lancearius wishes to run a large scale practice operation. This area is sometimes borrowed by the Imperial Guard for training operations as well.

The Sith area is a jumbled collection of holo-simulators, all of which are networked together. This permits Squadron Commanders and Sith Navarchus to lead their men in simulated battles. All of these areas are restricted to the members of the respective Orders, except in the case of the Imperial Guard, where Krath and Sith members may enter the Obelisk area for training. This separation is done mostly to keep down inter-Order tension.

The final door, suffused by a white light, is also restricted access. Therein lies the Brotherhoods' vast collection of artifacts. Some of the most powerful objects known to the Dark Side are contained in the room, which is why it is under constant surveillance. No one enters the room without the permission of the Dark Lord, the Constable, and the Pontifex Maximus, who keep the records of the artifacts.

==Shadow Chamber Chambers [Level 5a]==

In one of the lowest areas of the Dark Hall lie the personal chambers of the Shadow Chamber. Few people, except the Shadow Chamber members, have ever entered this area. So naturally, there are many rumors about what lies in it.

The turbolift from level four will descend into this level, assuming one has access. The area itself is in the form of a vast arch, with Shadow Chamber suites lining each side, with a massive polished oak door leading to the chambers of the Dark Prophet and the Dark Lord. The chambers of a particular Council member are denoted by the lock in the center of the door; it resembles the position badge that they wear on their robes. In the rare occasion that a Shadow Chamber member holds two positions, he or she owns the chambers of both positions. This often causes a little jealousy among Council members, though it has never escalated to serious proportions. Like their offices, the chambers of each Council member vary according to the tastes of the member.

The door to the chambers of the Dark Lord of the Sith and Dark Prophet is guarded not only by lock, but by powerful Force wards that very few could hope to break. Beyond the door lies a small hall, with two doors facing opposite each other, one bearing the Dark Lord's symbol, the other the Dark Prophet's. Rumors say that at the end of the hall in a large alcove lies a statue of indeterminate age, supposedly of the very first Lord of the Sith. The interiors of the chambers are, like those other Shadow Chamber members, unknown.

==Prison/Labyrinth [Level 5b/6]==

The entrance to the prison lies level with the Shadow Chamber chambers. It is a bare room with exactly twenty holes, ten on each side. The room itself is guarded by a contingent of the Imperial Guard. Prisoners are dropped into a hole, which leads into a cell. The cells are sealed with the conventional bar-type door and lock, albeit they are reinforced durasteel.

In the unlikely event that a prisoner, or prisoners, escapes they run right into the Labyrinth, a nightmarish combination of intricate, winding passageways, traps, and monsters that crawl in the dark. Ysalamiri nests have been placed throughout the Labyrinth, effectively nullifying the Force throughout the maze. No one has made it out alive from the Labyrinth. The cell area of the prison may be accessed by a hidden turbolift on level 5b, which must be activated by telekinesis when going either up or down. Only Shadow Chamber members are permitted within that area.

==Power Room [Level 7]==

Accessed from a hidden turbolift at the bottom of the hangar, only classified personnel are permitted within the Power Room. The turbolift shaft contains security checkpoints within and, if someone fails a checkpoint, they are riddled with blasterfire. At the bottom of the shaft a small, barren hallway of durasteel leads to a large, sealed door. Access codes, retina scans, and voice detection are done to open the door and grant access to the room proper. Failure to pass any of these precautions leads to immediate death.

The Power Room contains not only the generators that give electricity to the entire Dark Hall, but the Dark Hall's mainframe and security system, nicknamed DSM (Dark Security Machine). Only the Dark Lord of the Sith and the Patrician have complete access to DSM, and no major changes can occur to the system without the Dark Lord and the Patrician simultaneously unlocking the special security locks.

==Shadow Chamber Chambers [Level 5a]==

==Prison/Labyrinth [Level 5b/6]==

==Power Room [Level 7]==

=History of the Brotherhood=
The following is the compilation of research done by Shadonyx, former [[Chancellor]] of the [[Dark Brotherhood]], and continued by former Darth Khaen. The document herein is based on information in the Dark Voices, old news posts, and communiqués with older members. This is, at a glance, the true history behind the Dark Brotherhood.

==The Beginning==

Most of the history of the Brotherhood prior to its joining with the Emperor's Hammer has been lost in the mists of antiquity. When Kane Vader, the first known Grand Master, came to the Aurora System his archives were not complete or extensive, and he and his servants were loath to speak of the past. Despite this, the Dark Brotherhood was welcomed into Ronin's vision of a new Imperial order. Thanks, Kane Vader appointed Ronin as the first Headmaster of the Brotherhood's new institution of learning, the Shadow Academy.

Kane Vader did not remain as Grand Master long after the Brotherhood joined the Emperor's Hammer. Unused to working overtly and with such freedom, Kaine soon retired into the darkness whence he came, leaving a new man to take the title of Grand Master.

==Paladin: A Time of Awakening==

Lord Jedgar Octavian Paladin became Grand Master after Kane left. Unlike his predecessor, Paladin had served within the Strike Fleet prior to joining the Brotherhood, and had a clear idea of the power and resources available to him. The shrewd and somewhat ruthless man wasted no time in exploiting those objects for the Brotherhood's benefits.

The Shadow Academy came to full fruition during this time, its first incarnation consisting of three phases of Order-specific training for the Krath and Sith. Robes were finalized, and the dress created during Paladin's reign was used with little alteration until recently. The first edition of the Dark Side Compendium was released, as well as the first Dark Voices; and the Envoys were also created, and were originally conceived as a Brotherhood-aligned Fleet Commander's Honor Guard, with a similar point system. The weekly IRC meetings also became a fixture during Paladin's time. It is also assumed that the Main Body of the Dark Council, as it exists today (excluding [[Seneschal]]), was formed as well. The membership total during this period was around 100.

Paladin was rewarded greatly for his efforts as Grand Master. He received a promotion to Fleet Admiral, and the Medal of Honor. After a reign of approximately eight months, Paladin retired from Grand Master. Paladin was one of the most dynamic leaders of the Brotherhood, and he remained with it for a very long time, serving in other positions, but most notably Justicar until it was dissolved in recent times. He also served as the Strike Fleet's High Inquisitor until his disappearance, which some assumed to be his retirement into a life of solitude and study.

Kreeayt Havok and Crona: An Interim

Succeeding Paladin as Grand Master was Kreeayt Havoc, the Deputy Grand Master. While Kreeayt's reign was short (approximately three months), he introduced a few new items into the Brotherhood, the most noteworthy being Praetors and Magistrates, which were intended to mirror Command Attachés and Assistants. Praetors were originally given the rank of Dark Side Adept, and formed a Praetorian Diet; which could be used for voting purposes. Magistrates were originally given the rank of Krath Priest/Sith Warrior. At the end of Kreeayt's reign, when he was elevated to Executive Officer of the Strike Fleet, Brotherhood membership had doubled, now boasting a little over 200 members.

Kreeayt's Deputy Grand Master, Crona, was the next Grand Master. The exact date of his appointment is unknown, as the first Dark Voice released in his reign is not dated. However, by this time the Brotherhood's membership was reaching 400 and the Obelisk were now an Order within the Brotherhood. More information from former Grand Master Jac Cotelin reveals that during Crona's reign the Brotherhood had slipped into a relative state of torpidity, and that Tau Squadron became a serious source of dissent. After an altercation with the Fleet Commander, the High Court and the Fleet Commander ousted Crona from Grand Master, and expelled him from the Strike Fleet.

==Jac Cotelin: A Return to Order==

After Crona's expulsion, Grand Admiral Ronin recognized the ability of Jac Cotelin, and elevated him as the new Grand Master of the Dark Brotherhood. The most notable achievements of Jac's reign were the creation of Clans and Houses as a way to divide up the membership of the Dark Brotherhood, the addition of ranks between Sith Warrior and Dark Side Adept, the creation of the first medals, and the position of Lord Chamberlain. Jac also purged the Dark Council and expelled Tau Squadron upon appointment, paving the way for a new generation of leaders to control the direction of the Brotherhood - including the mysterious Star Chamber.

While previous accounts of the Star Chamber place it as a thing of ominous power, the truth of the matter is that it was the "Clan of the Dark Council." While not every Dark Council member was part of it, previous Grand Masters and long-standing Council members were part of the Chamber. It was the Star Chamber that chose the direction of the Brotherhood during Jac's reign, and the Dark Council served as the implementers of the Star Chamber's will. Presumably, the Star Chamber existed before Jac's reign, and continued its influence afterwards.

==Justinian Khyron: A Period of Change==

Grand Master Jac resigned after a long, successful tenure in which the Brotherhood grew to over 1000 members. His replacement was Justinian Khyron, a former Master at Arms and a Strike Fleet officer. Khyron's reign was marked by a great deal of change and alteration in Brotherhood structure. He created guidelines on forming House and Clan Crests; the Art of Vendetta, which was created by Paladin, was recognized; the first Great Jedi Wars and Vendettas were held; the position of Archon was created to handle medals, but was also later dissolved, and medals became the responsibility of the Chancellor; the Grand Master's Royal Guard was created; Clans and Houses were altered into their current forms; Sith Advisor became the Sith High Warrior.

Despite all these advances, a revolt within the ranks occurred. Clan Ar'kell, displeased with the Grand Master and the way the Brotherhood was being run, defected and formed their own sort of Brotherhood, the Society of Shadows, led by the former Ar'kell Consul, Sauron. Not much was done about the defection, save that it was more or less widely ignored by the Dark Council and the Star Chamber, which Sauron blamed for Ar'kell's defection. Khyron reigned for well over a year before resigning.

Justin Stryker and Khyron's Return: A Second Interim

After Khyron's resignation, Justin Stryker took over as Grand Master. He reigned for half a year, and did little more than act as a caretaker to the Brotherhood. Upon Stryker's resignation, Khyron returned for a second term as Grand Master. Khyron's second term was not nearly as impressive as his first, and the only thing of only thing of consequence was the alteration of the Clan and House structure to have three Houses per Clan, one for each Order.

After Khyron's second reign, the Star Chamber faded from memory, and while it is assumed that it still held power, its influence and effect on the Brotherhood post-Khyron is unknown.

==Thedek: Technological Advancement==

Thedek, Master-at-Arms, replaced Khyron as Grand Master. His reign included the creation of Oracle, which was originally intended as a position to maintain the Dark Side Compendium, and the Chamber of Justice. Revisions to the Grand Master's Royal Guard, the Envoys, and the Dark Side Compendium were done during this time. Thedek also created the first comprehensive database for the Dark Brotherhood, the former http://www.darkbrotherhood.com/.

==Zoraan: Stagnation==

Following Thedek was Archibald Zoraan, a Consul of Tarentum. His reign was marked by nothing more than a few notable Dark Council appointments, minor revisions to the Dark Side Compendium, and updates to the Shadow Academy. In all other things, Zoraan preferred to act as an esoteric, a foreboding Grand Master; essentially, he was far better acting as Grand Master than being Grand Master. Ultimately, the membership had had enough, and protests began. Zoraan ruthlessly crushed such opposition, twisting existing legal policy and the words in the Dark Side Compendium to his will, and using the Envoys as spies to find dissenters.

In the end, however, the then Executive Officer, Alan Kawolski, and Grand Admiral Ronin intervened, but were met with resistance. Claiming that the Dark Brotherhood was still a "sister organization," Zoraan attempted to dissolve the Emperor's Hammer's hold on the Brotherhood. [[Zorran's Dissent|This is what the former Grand Master had to say on the matter]].

Zoraan's attempt at secession failed, however, and he was deposed. Sadly, he managed to wipe most of Thedek's archives before being ousted, setting the Brotherhood back a great deal.

==Chi-Long: A Return to the Old Ways==

After the Zoraan crisis subsided, Chi-Long, formerly known as Faethor, replaced Zoraan as Grand Master. Luckily, most of the Thedek's archives were recovered one way or the other, but Thedek, angered over the appointment of Chi-Long as Grand Master, claimed that all the data within his archives was just that: his, and no one could use it. Apparently, the same insanity that touched Zoraan also touched Thedek, and the former Grand Master was expelled from Imperial space on pain of death. Shortly after, construction of a new database began.

After the initial turmoil, Chi-Long's reign was a strange one. He went through four Deputy Grand Masters during his eight month tenure, and more often took credit for others' projects than constructed his own. He also went on a sabbatical for well over two months, leaving then Deputy Grand Master Astatine in charge for the duration, and later rewarding Astatine by removing him. Perhaps the most famous scandal of his reign was his attempted deposing of Sith High Warrior Firefox. Khan, the Proconsul of Clan Alvaak, had been charged with publicly defaming the Grand Master. Firefox, wishing to aid a friend, submitted a log of Chi-Long insulting and defaming the Fleet Commander. In retaliation, Chi-Long attempted to remove Firefox, but was stopped by the Executive Officer.

Despite these oddities, Chi-Long's reign included various, important revisions to the Dark Side Compendium, the creation of the Assembly of Consuls and Emissary, the resurrection of the Envoys, and a Vendetta. He also made some notable appointments to the Dark Council. Sadly, the Envoys were widely rumored to be a secret spy force for Chi-Long, and the Vendetta was less than well-planned. Near the end of his reign, Chi-Long was highly disliked by Brotherhood membership, a fact that reached the ears of the Emperor's Hammer Command Staff. Determined to do something, the Executive Office took punitive action against the Grand Master.

==Firefox: Exodus==

After being practically ousted by Alan Kawolski, Chi-Long bitterly retreated into the darkness and swore never to aid the Brotherhood again. In his place, long-standing Sith High Warrior and Battlegroup Commander of the Avenger Task Force Firefox became Grand Master. Firefox's reign was an active one, with many astute appointments to the Dark Council. While there were no Vendettas for over a year, improvements to the medal system, Dark Side Compendium, and the Brotherhood website were all enacted. The position of Oracle, originally intended by Firefox to publish the Dark Voice, was dissolved after a few months. Project Thallium, an effort made by then Deputy Grand Master Astatine to create more structure and order in the Brotherhood was spearheaded, but died down after he left the position. This was when the problems began.

Krath High Priestess Mairin Astoris was appointed as Astatine's replacement, and for the first month or so, she proved to be a happy choice. However, her domineering nature soon began to show itself when she began to do other Dark Council members' duties and initiate projects without Firefox's consent. She also released a sub-par Vendetta in an attempt to appease the Brotherhood membership, but only succeeded in disgusting it with the delays and poorly executed events. All the while, a deep schism between herself and Mage, current Headmaster, and the current Chancellor, Shadonyx, developed. Shadonyx did not like Mairin's rule or Mage's alliance with her, and they in turn detested Shadonyx for his refusal to obey and connection with the Grand Master and the Executive Officer. Ultimately, the situation was never truly resolved and the parties involved grudgingly agreed to a truce. However, the volatile nature of the Dark Council, as well as the torpidity of the Clans was apparent. Astatine, who was also the Executive Officer, began to put pressure on Firefox to change things.

Firefox did not react to this pressure well. In the last few weeks of his reign, he made a secret alliance with former Grand Master Chi-Long. Their goal was to break away as a subgroup and regain the fabled sister organization status, all the while claiming their reason for doing this was Astatine's acerbic personality. After three weeks of scheming, the devious Grand Masters, in accordance with former Grand Masters Jac Cotelin, Khyron, Master-at-Arms Corran Force, Headmaster Pyralis (also known as Darth Vader), and Proconsul of Naga Sadow Trevarus Caerick signed a document that stated their grievances and reasons for wanting sister organization status once more. Grand Admiral Ronin, however, would have nothing of it. He immediately demanded that the rogues relinquish their claims to the database they held, as well as any other materials they had whilst they were part of the Emperor's Hammer.

The argument began to get rather murky as legal issues were brought forth. Ultimately, nothing was completely resolved as neither side was going to take this the matter to court. Instead, many Emperor's Hammer members politely requested that their works or dossiers be removed from the rogue Dark Brotherhood, and Firefox honored their requests. However, many members also left with the rogues, striking a huge blow to the Brotherhood's membership base. Undoubtedly, these members left because they believed what the rogues were telling them. Astatine and Ronin, after expelling the rogues from the Fleet, began a search for a new Dark Council and constructing a new Brotherhood website. The rogues continue to exist in their own organization.

To both the EHDB and the DJB, this betrayal is known as the Exodus.

==Rapier: Reeling From Shock==

After a short five days, Astatine and Ronin appointed Rapier, a former Emperor's Hammer Security Officer, to Grand Master. A new Dark Council was chosen by the Grand Master, but was plagued from its first sitting with low morale, lackluster activity, and frequent turnover in the positions. Within a few months, there had been two Deputy Grand Masters, two Headmasters, three Chancellors, two Heralds, three Sith High Warriors, and the office of Commander of the Guard had been dissolved. The same problems harrying the Dark Council were rife among the Clans of the Brotherhood.

Despite the closure of two Clans (Taldryan and Naga Sadow), many Houses still stood on the brink of closure due to low membership and activity. Many House Summits neglected to perform their duties, and several insufficiently experienced Dark Jedi advanced to Clan Summit positions they were not wise or powerful enough to maintain.

Despite the efforts of the Dark Council and a dedicated few throughout the Brotherhood, the general state of malaise continued month after month. There were some notable advances in the period, however, including the design of a new set of Brotherhood robes and awards and the release of one new issue of the Dark Voice.

Around ten months after the split, the Executive Officer and Fleet Commander of the Emperor's Hammer decided to take action to point the Brotherhood in a new direction. At a regular fleet meeting, Executive Officer Astatine announced the removal of Grand Master Rapier, Deputy Grand Master Gelton Torr, and Chancellor Angel Saris. The former Master-at-Arms, Dark Side Adept Khaen, was to become the next Grand Master.

==Khaen: Unfulfilled Hopes==

The immediate reaction to the regime change was chaos. Sith Warlord Darkfinn the Arcona Consul openly revolted and unsuccessfully incited his clan to defect. Also in other places of the Brotherhood emotions over this sudden unexpected move were flying high, especially in Clan Tarentum, the home of Deputy Grand Master Gelton Torr. There a petition was drafted and released to the Fleet, that was supposed to draw Fleet Commander Ronin's attention to the decision of his Executive Officer Astatine and asking for a more active involvement of Ronin into club matters.

Tarentum later respectfully withdrew its petition after long talks with Grand Admiral Ronin when they felt that they had made their point towards him. The defected Arcona Consul was soon replaced and everything settled a bit.

Then it came to light shortly after Rapier's removal that the rogue Dark Brotherhood had been secretly in control of important channels of Dark Brotherhood communication (www.darkjedibrotherhood.org), having connived to purchase them covertly after the former fleet Communications Officer had let financing lapse. In a disruptive move, the rogue Dark Brotherhood's Deputy Grand Master sabotaged the communications network, issuing a statement that his group had been supportive of the Dark Brotherhood so long as Rapier remained Grand Master, and that all support would now be withdrawn.

A reformed Dark Council began to take shape, with a new Master-at-Arms and Chancellor. Deputy Grand Master was to remain vacant as the Grand Master did not see a need to have one in place. The 'new' Dark Council would attempt to restore the honor and work ethic which had given long-previous Dark Councils such authority and respect, and had been a source of great strength for the Brotherhood. But those attempts failed pretty soon in a rather obvious fashion. Certain Dark Council members started after a while to voice openly in front of the whole membership their discontent with the Grand Master on an almost daily basis. He on the other hand remained silent on this kind of behavior and did not intervene. Doing so the Dark Council with their open quarreling lost the last bit of respect it had and in the membership's opinion it fell very low.

Instead to go out and battling this decline of esteem Khaen got more and more reclusive and showed himself more and more seldom in the public. Projects that have been started in his tenure never got finished.

By following an action plan almost not at all, laid out to him by the EH High Command he also started to drop in the evaluations of the Fleet Commander and the Executive Officer on a continuous basis. Five months after he started out as Grand Master, Ronin and Astatine decided to relieve Khaen from his position.

==Nocturnus: A Return to Glory==

Although fallen from grace, after his dismissal as Deputy Grand Master, Dark Jedi Master Gelton Torr decided to stay active in the Dark Brotherhood. He returned to Clan Tarentum, the Clan where he originated from, and helped them in their battles against other Clans. During the following months he was able to regain the trust of the EH High Command and to restore his reputation amongst them that had been soiled by his dishonorable dismissal earlier. When the time came to pick a successor to Khaen, he was deemed worthy to become the next Grand Master. Upon appointment he took a name in the tradition of the Sith. Henceforth he also was known as Darth Nocturnus.

He wasted no time to get started as Grand Master, very determined to use this second chance that had been given to him. Quickly together with Astatine in his function as SCL he brought a new standard lightsaber system, designed by the HLRD, to the membership replacing those who have been lost during the split. But Nocturnus also had to face hard and unpleasant decisions. The hardest was to close down Clan Satal Keto, due to low membership counts leaving the Brotherhood with four Clans.

Three months into his tenure he presented the Dark Brotherhood a Rite of Supremacy. For 5 long weeks the Clans battled over the Title "First Clan of the Brotherhood". In the end Clan Tarentum was able to claim that title and become First Clan.

Being 6 months GM he was able to give the Brotherhood back the long lost Grant of Arms, which had vanished from the dossiers since the split as well. At the time of the latest revision of this Compendium, Darth Nocturnus is still Grand Master leading the Dark Brotherhood on its way into the future.

After a successful reign as Grand Master, Nocturnus chose to depart from the Emperor's Hammer Territories and allow a new Grand Master to lead the Dark Brotherhood. When the Deputy Grand Master disappeared soon after Nocturnus, there was no heir-apparent to the Iron Throne.

==Carnifex: Stagnation and Decline==

Following Nocturnus' departure, the Iron Throne remained vacant for four months. In that time, the Master-at-Arms, Kane Reese, oversaw the Dark Brotherhood's operations.

After an extended period of time without a Grand Master, Sith High Warrior Gidda was chosen by the Fleet Commander to lead the Brotherhood. Aupon his ascension to the Iron Throne, Gidda took the name Carnifex. At the beginning of Gidda's reign, spirits in the Dark Brotherhood were high. Many hoped that the new Grand Master, who had been one of the greatest Consuls of Clan Scholae Palatinae, would lead the Brotherhood out of the decline which it had been experiencing in recent times.

It became apparent to the leader of the Brotherhood early in Carnifex's reign that the Grand Master had no plans for the Dark Brotherhood was simply fulfilling duties as he saw fit. The blame for stagnation may not have entirely been Carnifex's, as it appeared to many that he was unwilling to risk upsetting the Grand Admiral following the expulsion of the Krath High Priest, Troutrooper, by Grand Admiral Astatine when the High Priest proposed alterations to the Brotherhood which did not sit well with the fiery Astatine.

Almost a year into Carnifex's reign, the Brotherhood was screaming for action. Grand Admiral Astatine ordered a restructuring of the Brotherhood and Clans Alvaak and Scholae Palatinae were disbanded. Soon after, Carnifex was removed from command following one of his many personal journeys into deep space. Accompanying the orders for the demotion of the Grand Master was a decree which disbanded the Order Leader positions in the Brotherhood.

==Blade: Stabilization==

Following Nocturnus' removal, Sith High Warrior Ric Taldrya was chosen to lead the Brotherhood. He took his former name of Blade as his Darth name, though it was only used in official capacities. Ric's reign was not progressive, but it did result in the stabilization of the Brotherhood structurally. The era was a confused one, as few of the leaders could agree upon what needed to be done in order to improve the Brotherhood, and many of the Grand Master's suggestions were met with stiff resistance from the Fleet Commander. Ultimately, Blade's half-year reign was a transitional one.

==Czulvang Lah: ?==

Within two weeks of Blade's departure, the Headmaster, Czulvang Lah, was chosen as the new Grand Master. More commonly known as Czul, the new Grand Master chose Darth Vexus as his name, though he never used it except ceremonially. Czul was the first Grand Master to have joined the Brotherhood after the Split, and the only Grand Master to earn that rank rather than receiving it on appointment.

Czul wasted no time. In his first weeks as Grand Master, much of the stagnation in the Brotherhood was eliminated. Ineffective leaders were removed without hesitation and plans were formed for the future of the Brotherhood. Almost a year into his reign, Czul launched the first Vendetta since early in Nocturnus' reign.

Having held the position of Grand Master for one year, Czulvang led the Brotherhood through one of the greatest political crises in the Emperor's Hammer since the split. The Fleet Commander had become suspicious of the Princeps and Executive Officer after several attempts to limit his power. Fearing that they would destroy the Hammer, Grand Admiral Astatine made plans in secret to remove the Princeps and Executive Officer from the club unobtrusively; however, before his plans could be put into action, Ronin announced Astatine's removal, and the Emperor's Hammer was plunged into controversy.

Under Czulvang Lah an alliance had been reestablished with the once rDB (rogue Dark Brotherhood), who we now simply call DJB (Dark Jedi Brotherhood).

Rajax: New page: On a rather . . . interesting note, the next Grand Master of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood will not -- as previously believed -- be "appointed" by the EH Executive Officer. Rather, I am invoki...

On a rather . . . interesting note, the next Grand Master of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood will not -- as previously believed -- be "appointed" by the EH Executive Officer. Rather, I am invoking my right as the still-reigning Grand Master of the DB to call for a process of election, by which the Dark Council will determine the identity of my successor.

As many of the older Dark Brethren will know and remember, the Dark Brotherhood is not a subordinate, subjugated SubGroup of the Emperor's Hammer, and nor was it ever. We are, in fact, an independent sister-<nowiki>[organization] which is under the EH banner as part of an extreme form of alliance -- one that was intended to forever bind together our [organizations]</nowiki>. This, including rights that the DB retains as a result of its independent status, remain reflected in both the Dark Side Compendium and Emperor's Hammer's own Training Manual to this day.

In recent dealings, the Emperor's Hammer -- specifically, the EH's representative <nowiki>[Sector]</nowiki> Admiral Kawolski -- has attempted to single-handedly revoke the DB's special status without any negotiation or consultation, as well as to cease to <nowiki>honor</nowiki> several of the rights which we retain within *their* own documentation. This includes the appalling statement: "If this was 1998, I would see the Dark Brotherhood as a semi-independent sister organization. However, it's 2001, and the Dark Brotherhood has grown to become a solid subgroup of the Emperor's Hammer as any other". I am disgusted with this individual's heavy-handed attempts, as should be every self-respecting Dark Jedi in the DB.

With a duty to protect the security and independence of the Brotherhood, I have -- regardless of the personal consequences -- found no other choice but to respond in a manner that forcibly exercises our rights and, if the EH complies, will preserve our *rightful* status for generations of Dark Jedi to come.

'''Author's Note:''' ''Zoraan's belief in the Brotherhood as a separate sister organization was a false one. As far back as 1997, the Brotherhood was believed to be a subgroup of the Emperor's Hammer. Thanks to the Internet Wayback Machine, the following text has been recovered from one of the earliest Brotherhood websites made by former Grand Master Khyron:''

Welcome to the homepage of the Brotherhood of the Dark Jedi. The Dark Brotherhood is a subgroup of the Emperor's Hammer which concentrates on the mystical ways of the Dark Side of the Force.

==The Beginning==

==Paladin: A Time of Awakening==

==Jac Cotelin: A Return to Order==

==Justinian Khyron: A Period of Change==

==Thedek: Technological Advancement==

==Zoraan: Stagnation==

==Chi-Long: A Return to the Old Ways==

==Firefox: Exodus==

==Rapier: Reeling From Shock==

==Khaen: Unfulfilled Hopes==

==Nocturnus: A Return to Glory==

==Carnifex: Stagnation and Decline==

==Blade: Stabilization==

==Czulvang Lah: ?==

==Overview==
Ronin is the founder and owner of the [[Emperor's Hammer]]. He was also [[Fleet Commander]] until January 2005.

==Biography==
Stephan Ronin is the adopted son of Lord Krenn Alvaak, of noble Corellian descent. The Alvaak Clan has contributed many fine fighter pilots and command officers to the ranks of the Imperial Navy and has exhibited a strong and loyal military tradition, even during the days of the Old Republic. The family tree of the Alvaak Clan can reportedly be traced back 538 generations. Stephan was originally born the son of a moderately successful Outer Rim merchant family, possibly from Sif, in the [[Phare]] System (see the Systems Manual), who's surname has long since been forgotten. Following the conquest of the Corellian home world by the Galactic Empire, his family, while on a mercantile venture planet side, was murdered by Rebel Assassins at the "Treasure Ship Row" Bazaar during a brutal partisan attack on an Imperial guard post. Stephan was only 4 years old at the time and watched his parents and brother gunned down by Rebel blaster fire. Fortunately, Lord Alvaak and his entourage were also witness to this attack and the noble Lord took him home and raised him as his own son. Since that day, he has been legally adopted and privately tutored in Imperial history, the fine arts, combat strategy and tactics, physical sciences (concentrations in environmental studies and planetary geology) and philosophy by some of the finest instructors in the Empire.

Even before his enlistment in the Imperial Navy on his eighteenth birthday, when he officially changed his name from Lord Stephan Alvaak to Stephan Ronin, he had become an accomplished pilot and navigator. His skills at personal combat, tactics, logistics, communications and piloting had already exceeded those of his tutors by the time he entered Imperial Naval service. Ronin's excellent tactical and strategic skills, possibly the result of his forgotten Saraii heritage, impressed even his most skeptical instructors. Although Ronin could have lived a luxurious, care-free life as a noble Lord representing the Alvaak Clan in the Imperial Court on Coruscant, he chose to devote his life to vanquishing the Rebels who had caused him so much anguish in his youth. Thus, he renounced his adopted noble title of Lord in favor of military service in the Imperial Navy. In relinquishing his title, he chose the surname "Ronin" since it signified a disowned warrior without a home clan.

Following four years of advanced combat and command training at the Imperial Academy on Coruscant, Flight Cadet Ronin received his commission and was assigned to the FRG Inamo for TIE fighter pilot training. Following the Battle of Yavin, then loyal Admiral Zaarin was commanding a Strike Force commissioned to destroy the remnants of the Rebel Fleet. Ronin rapidly advanced through the command ranks, combating the Rebel, pirate and treasonous Admiral Harkov's forces in engagements in the Hoth, Sepan, Newland, Mylok, Parmel and Parmic Systems. The successful completion of this tour resulted in Emperor Palpatine personally awarding General Ronin the Medal of Emperor's Will in the Imperial Palace on Coruscant. After the final Mission in the Parmel System, General Ronin was assigned to Admiral Thrawn's Strike Force which was ordered by the Emperor to capture Admiral Zaarin. General Ronin's efforts were instrumental in saving several TIE Defender prototypes which were used to drive off Zaarin's forces. Following destruction of Admiral Zaarin's TIE Defender Manufacturing Platform, General Ronin was awarded the Medal of Horror and Thrawn was Promoted to [[Grand Admiral]], one of only twelve such commands in the Imperial Navy.

After completion of his tenth Battle, General Ronin was promoted to [[Wing Commander]] of the Emperor's Hammer Strike Wing stationed on board the [[ISD Avenger]]. With Grand Admiral Thrawn's departure to the Unknown Regions in search of a large Rebel Fleet, Emperor Palpatine soon promoted Ronin to the coveted rank of [[Grand Admiral]] to fulfill Thrawn's duties as the 12th Grand Admiral in the Inner Core. The [[ISD Avenger]] was transferred to Lord Vader's personal Strike Force consisting of the SSD Executor, ISD Devastator, ISD Avenger, several VSDs and three Interdictor Cruisers. Grand Admiral Ronin quickly mobilized the Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet with the SSD Avenger (christened after the famed original ISD Avenger) as his personal flagship. Following the defeat of Emperor Palpatine and Dark Lord Vader at the Battle of Endor, the Emperor's Hammer has become a symbol of continuing Imperial supremacy in the chaos that currently engulfs the Galactic Empire. Imperial Pilots, soldiers and Citizens from all over the Galaxy are seeking admittance to the Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet. With Grand Admiral Ronin as its [[Fleet Commander]] and the newly constructed 15 km long, axial superlaser-equipped [[SSSD Sovereign]] as its Flagship, the Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet will seek to restore the Empire to its full, former greater glory.

Thor is the second planet in the Phare system. It's a frigid planet and only has one native species, Grenfels.

==Basic Information==
Thor is much like Ghenna in that it is an extremely frigid world, little more than an icy rock lashed by arctic climates, fierce storms scouring the surface in fronts hundreds of kilometers wide. The planet is largely unexplored due to the particularly turbulent atmosphere, the extreme weather patterns disrupting even starship sensors, whilst all attempts made to utilize probes have ended in failure - the fragile constructs incapable of surviving for long in the extreme conditions. Imperials have found no natural resources on the planet to date, despite the hope that the crust may contain pockets of ore deposits.

The only official documentation known to exist is a study of the native Grenfels, a humanoid alien species whose very existence on the barren rock is a mystery, who seem to have adapted to the planet's harsh environment by surviving the worst conditions in deep caves where the warmth of the crust has allowed basic life to develop. Published by a relatively unknown scientist, an Auroran professor of anthropology by the name of Searl Darwaen, it is theorized that the Grenfels, a squat, shaggy furred race, evolved from a lifeform not native to the system, seeded there in the depths of history . It is believed that the Grenfels are a nomadic people, often appearing to follow variations in the crust of the planet, moving from cave to cave, invariably in areas where depth and geothermal heat combine to make a barely inhabitable environment and the ubiquitous bacterial lifeforms flourish. These migrations involve family groups moving rapidly across the icy surface in short journeys, the weather and climate often taking a heavy toll before they settle again.

The world has often been used by criminal elements for clandestine meetings, relying on the inability to scan the planet or its immediate area. In the past Imperial vessels have encountered numerous private vessels attempting to conceal themselves in high orbit, whilst it is believed that Thor may well be a key component of the smuggling routes throughout the sub-sector. Regardless of the truth of this the navy maintains a heavy patrol within the system at all times.

==Additions by Directorate==
The Directorate is a group inside of the Emperor's Hammer that controls and runs the systems and worlds in the Hammer's sectors. They have the authority to apply changes to it that are deemed fit by the Grand Moff.

===Taranis, a new city===
Under the reign of Grand Moff Farrin Xies, and Governor General Samuel Rajax a new underground city was built on Thor. The city was named Taranis which is a Celtic god of thunder closely related to the Norse god of thunder Thor. Lieutenant Governor to Samuel Rajax, Myn Donos chose the name and Rajax seen it fit. The city if an average city for Thor, aside from it being a normal temperature like on other planets, this is due to the geothermal heat of the planet. It also has it's own militia that work in the Rajax Manor, a large building built just for Sam Rajax and his family members. Despite the fact that they were hired only to guard and work as a makeshift army for Rajax, they protect the city and all of it's citizens. There is also a Grenfel housing station to protect the species from poachers and pirates that live on the planets surface.

Phare is located no more than five light years from the Aurora System and is a system rich in natural resources, which Aurora lacked for a Fleet the size of the Emperor's Hammer. Therefore, the Phare System provided most of the resources for the Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet's material needs. Besides the Emperor's Hammer's hold on the system, it was also the original home to Clan Naga Sadow, as well as serving as the base of operations for the Infiltrator Wing.

The Karana System, named after its indigenous pre-hyperdrive civilization, is located east of the [http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Minos_Cluster Minos Cluster] in Wild Space, nearly 59,700 light years from the Galactic Core. The system formed some 5.3 billion years ago, and consists of the star Shahora, the planets [[Deva]], [[Sahare]], [[Lears]], and [[Kaiburr]], and their seven moons.

The native Karanan evolved around 160,000 years ago, reaching Iron Age development by the time of their first contact with the outside galaxy. A Jedi Master visited the system sometime around 3400 BBY, drawn by visions and the Dark Side taint of Kaiburr. The Jedi returned to the Republic, electing to keep his discovery secret. With the [http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Great_Sith_War Exar Kun War] still fresh in the galaxy’s memory, his fellows would have taken a hard stance indeed against his sliver of interest in such a place. When the Jedi’s quest for knowledge led him further down the Dark Path he fled the Order, gathering followers as he traveled the galaxy. Eventually, he led them back to Karana, exploiting the natives through their religion. A fortress was built on Kaiburr, where the group continued to develop a philosophy similar to the modern Obelisk. The fate of this group is unknown, though they fled the system after only a decade.

The system first appeared on galactic star charts around 2300 BBY as a gravitational anomaly, and was found to be a small star system a few hundred years later. Like so many in Wild Space, it received only a cursory glance until the modern era. Being located sufficiently far from both the Rimma Trade Route and Hydian Way, there was little impetus for further exploration and development, and it fell out of memory. The system was rediscovered, and subsequently annexed, in 10 ABY by the Emperor's Hammer. It was also the base of Clan Taldryan’s operations before the Exodus.

The system’s natives long saw Lears as a mirror image of their homeworld, [[Sahare]], a sacred place of magic and mystery. Most cultures deemed it home to their lesser gods and residence of the honoured dead. Though the old ways have largely been abandoned some still refuse to tread the planet at night for fear of being assailed by spirits offended by the intrusion of the living.

Lears was first colonized in 122 BBY, its population growing by leaps and bounds in subsequent decades due to government sponsored migration. Imperial expansion became a patriotic duty, and vast tracts of free land a definite draw to the overcrowded urban dwellers. The colonists, intrepid and independent spirits to begin with, proved less loyal than hoped at the outset of the Karanan Civil War. Overthrowing the colonial government, they formed their own democratic nation and defiantly continued the Reformist struggle lost on Sahare. The Emperor’s Hammer has established a strong presence on this world since annexing the system. COMPNOR reeducation centers, Intelligence operations, strict traffic control between Sahare and Lears, and the elite troops of the Hammer’s Fist have all been employed in the continuing effort to eradicate resistance to the New Order.

Before the Exodus the planet was also home to Taldryan’s Krath House, House Ektrosis]. The Dark Jedi kept a vast library on the surface as well as a Clan artifact, the Orb of Pomojema, in the Ektrosis-constructed Temple of Pomojema.
