Welcome to the '''Emperor's Hammer Manual'''. The EH Manual acts as a central resource and reference for the entire Emperor's Hammer, covering a vast range of topics from ranks and medals to the structure within the Emperor's Hammer. This manual provides all of the information needed to function and enjoy a career in the club. The Emperor's Hammer is a complex and dynamic organization. Emperor's Hammer veterans are encouraged to periodically review the contents herein, as they are revised as needed.

== Activities ==

The Emperor's Hammer is primarily based on online multiplayer or role play gaming in the Star Wars universe, however, there are many other activities and events available.

The primary activities center around online multiplaying for they set a theme for each Group. The TIE Corps focuses on the space combat sims, the Hammer's Fist on the First Person Shooters, the Directorate on Strategy and the Fringe on Star Wars Galaxies (Star Wars themed Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game). The Dark Brotherhood of Jedi is the only exception as it focuses on many aspects and adds in the element of Force users.

The Emperor's Hammer has created thousands of missions/maps for Star Wars games. They are available for download from the Emperor's Hammer Battle Center.

==== Space Combat Simulators ====

For those whose interested in vaping their enemies into tiny bits in fast space combat, the EH provides a solid membership where players for online multiplayer gaming can be found, as well as custom missions for single player in supported game platforms. For those who prefer a more personal approach and to "pound the ground", the EH supports multiple multiplayer Star Wars-themed first person shooters, be it a trooper or Dark Jedi. 

==== Real Time Strategy Games ====

For those who prefer the careful planning of strategies and the decisive strike against your enemies.  Real time strategy games are also supported in the Emperor's Hammer.

==== Role Playing ====

For those who prefer live action character development in a Star Wars-based universe. Role playing games are also supported in the Emperor's Hammer.

==== Creative Activities ====

For creative minds that enjoy stories, the Emperor's Hammer allows members to participate in a great deal of events related to writing fan-fiction:

* Poetry
* Run-on stories on the Discord server

===== Trivia =====

Your Star Wars and EH knowledge will be measured in these events, which can be administered via e-mail, Discord, or the timed test functionality integrated into the web site.

===== Wiki Editing =====

Help expand the content within the Encyclopaedia Imperia Wiki by creating new content to build out the history and background of your character or exploits of your unit.

===== Webpage Design/Creation =====

Certain events, competitions, units, and other activities can benefit from custom webpages.  Webpages creation is a good way to get noticed and promote your own fighting unit.

===== Graphics and other Artistic Endeavors =====

Creating original EH-oriented graphics is a great way to contribute to the Fleet. It does not matter if you think you are the worst artist in the world, there is never enough graphic art in the EH.

===== Newsletters =====

The Emperor's Hammer publishes the Dark Sentinel. This newsletter covers the entire EH and accepts contributions from all corners of the club. Give your work a broader audience. Be creative!

===== Operations and Competitions =====

All of the activities listed above can be done as an individual effort at any time. You don't wait for some "official" event to come along to be active! When official events do come along, it is always a big event. Official events fall into two categories:
Operations and Competitions.

Operations are the Big Events. They are always Subgroup-wide and frequently have many different activities to encourage everyone to participate. Because they are so complex, they involve many man-hours of preparation and do not occur more than once every few months.

Competitions are more local events. They are usually at the unit level or below, pitting unit against unit at various echelons (Squadron, Ship, etc.). Intra-unit competitions can settle who is the best flight in a squadron or squad in a platoon. Competitions may be run by any member, and only require approval at the Subgroup Command level.

=== Command Staff ===

The Emperor's Hammer Command Staff (EHCS) comprise the upper levels of command in the Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet. 

The responsibilities of each Command Staff position include:

* Independently overseeing and maintaining their various areas of duty.
* Submitting reports as needed.
* Appointing Command Attachés and Command Assistants, when needed.
* Promoting Command Attachés and Command Assistants, and awarding medals for duties rendered.
* Awarding and/or recommending medals and commendations to the membership for achievements.
* Reviewing comments, answering questions, etc. from the Emperor' Hammer membership.
* Forwarding important news to relevant parties.
* Being familiar with all primary reference materials including manuals and rules/regulations.
* Being familiar with all Emperor's Hammer primary web sites and communication platforms (Emperor's Hammer and subgroups, Discord, etc).
* Coordinating and/or participating in competitions (when possible).
* Attending on-line meetings (when possible).

==== Line of Succession ====

In the event that both the Fleet Commander and Executive Officer are unable to fulfill their duties, the Subgroup Commanders will have direct control of their subgroups within the oversight of the [[Board of Trustees]], until such time that the Board of Trustees may gather for an emergency session to select a new Fleet Commander. Individual Command Staff members, excluding the Subgroup Commanders, will report the status of any projects to the Board of Trustees until a new Fleet Commander is appointed.
