==X-Wing Vs TIE Fighter installation and setup for online play==

In order to play X-Wing Vs. TIE Fighter online, the following steps must be completed:
*[[:Tech:install XvT | Install the game]] - Copy the game files
*[[:Tech:patch XvT| Apply patches]] - Get necessary updates, files etc.
*[[:Tech:ports XvT| Networking]] - Port forwarding and firewalls
*[[:lobbyclients | Set up the Client]] - Enter the online gaming lobby to find opponents

==Apply patch==
After installing the game you need to download and install the official X-Wing Vs TIE Fighter version 1.14 which can be downloaded from the [http://www.emperorshammer.org/patcharchive.php Patches] archive.  This will change your z_xvt__.exe to Version 1.1.  If you already have the Balance of Power expansion installed you '''DO NOT''' need to do this.
