Graduate of the Dark Arts[edit]
Graduate of the Dark Arts is a graduate qualification of The Shadow Academy.
Obtaining this graduate title is a great honor, and demonstrates intense devotion to the scholarly study of the Dark Side as it requires passing scores in almost all courses available for study within the Shadow Academy, plus additional study and work beyond that.
Achieving this qualification requires satisfactory completion of the prerequisite certifications "Certificate in Force Application" and "Certificate in Force History", as well as passing scores of the prerequisite courses "Nature of the Darkside" parts I through III. The applicant must then complete a Graduate of the Dark Arts Capstone Thesis, demonstrating their intimate knowledge of the Force and of the Dark Side that they have acquired through their studies. After completing the thesis with a passing score, the applicant can finally request approval of the Graduate of the Dark Arts qualification.
Members of the Secret Order who achieve this graduate qualification may also be awarded with the Ruby Scepter.
Similar to other graduate qualifications, Graduate of the Dark Arts Capstone Theses may be published in the journal of the Imperial University, "Proceedings", adding to the body of knowledge that comprises the Imperial University.
