Welcome to the Secret Order! This page includes quick links and good reference information intended to help get you started on your journey to power!

If you're unsure or have any questions, your best option is always to reach out to your House Quaestor (leader) and ask them for help! Your second best option? Ask your other house members, or even other members of the Secret Order, especially over on the Discord server!

In the meantime, let's see if we can cover any of our immediate questions here in this quick start guide!

Where to Start

Now that you're a member of the Secret Order, the best thing to do is to start being active! But what does that mean, exactly?

Activity is basically the stuff you do here that you get credit for. This is a gaming and roleplaying club, so activity for us can be multiplayer wins in supported games (whether it be PvP or PvE), flying custom Single Player missions from our battle compendium, taking Imperial University / Shadow Academy courses, writing fiction, creating art, and more!

Everything you do as a member of the Secret Order will earn you experience points, and those can be used to achieve greater ranks, awards, and unlock abilities!

The important part though is that you report what you do when you do it, so that the people in charge know that you did something! Not sure how to report activity? No sweat! The following chart will help you out, with quick links on where to go to report the things that you do.

Activity Description (What to Report) Where to Report Link
PvP Player vs. Player! Screenshots of winning matches need to be submitted on the Gaming Activity Submission Form. Report PvP match
PvE Player vs. Environment (bots). Must include other humans on your wining team! Screenshots of winning matches need to be submitted on the Gaming Activity Submission Form. Report PvE match
SP Single Player. Supported for custom missions only (DB and SO missions only). Custom missions can be found in Battle Center. Pilot files for completed missions need to be submitted on website. Battle Submission Form
IU/SA Imperial University/Shadow Academy. A repository of courses on a variety of topics that can be completed for credit and activity. The Shadow Academy houses the Secret Order-specific courses. Imperial University
Shadow Academy
Fiction/Art Creative works. Members are encouraged to share their fiction, artwork, or any other creative endeavors in the #artwork-and-writings channel on the Secret Order Discord server. Creations can also be sent directly to the Herald, if preferred. Post on #artwork-and-writings
Email Herald

Note that your leadership can see anything you submit on the website or gaming activity form, but not anything else. So if you do something that's not submitted via the website or gaming activity form(even if it's sending an email with a submission for a competition), make sure to let your direct leader know!

What to Do

If the above is a bit too generic for your tastes, and you're looking for something specific to start on, consider the following recommendations!

  • Participate in a Competition - Competitions are regularly running in the Secret Order. Participating in them is a great way to get involved in the organization and get a feel for what it's all about. If you're looking for a competition to join in, check out the Competition Center or the #competition-announcements] channel on the Discord server!
  • Complete DBCORE/SOCORE - The DBCORE/SOCORE Shadow Academy course is intended for new members, and has great material on the organization and how it functions. It's also a requirement to advance to the rank of Acolyte, so if you're looking for an initial activity, you can't go wrong taking this course!
  • Start work on your Lightsaber - Part of the journey for all members of the Secret Order is the assembling of a lightsaber! This is a lengthy activity that involves multiple Shadow Academy courses and creative works. There's no restriction on when you can get started with it though, so if you're looking for something to get involved in, read up about the lightsaber assembly journey here!
