==Overview==
This medal is awarded to a member who places in an official Hammer’s Fist competition. The award is divided into the following attachments:<br>
<br>
Bronze Star Cluster (CoD-bss): Awarded for placing 3rd in a Brigade-wide competition, 2nd in a Company-wide competition, or 1st in a Detachment-wide competition.<br>
Silver Star Cluster (CoD-sss): Awarded for placing 3rd place in a Battalion or Hammer’s Fist wide competition, 2nd in a Brigade-wide competition, or 1st in a Company-wide competition.<br>
Gold Star Cluster (CoD-gss): Awarded for placing 2nd place in a Battalion or Hammer’s Fist wide competition or 1st in a Brigade-wide competition.<br>
Platinum Star Cluster (CoD-pss): Awarded for placing 1st place in a Battalion or Hammer’s Fist wide competition.<br>
