Overview

Gilad Pelleaeon was the eleventh Logistics Officer and the fifteenth Operations Officer of the Emperor's Hammer. He also served as the eleventh and thirteenth Battlegroup Commander of the Aggressor Strike Force. His years of service now exceed ten and a half years.

Early Career

Gilad joined the fleet in September 1999 and less than a month later had graduated from the academy on the Platform Daedalus. As his assignment he selected the ISD Grey Wolf to be his new home, one where he would remain for nearly all of his career. In his first year of service he flew for three of the six squadron's aboard the Grey Wolf, Odin, Crusader and Tartarus, in that order. It was in Crusader that he would be allowed to serve with such legends as Brucmack, Marcin Szydlowski and Alex Foley. Also while in Crusader, Gilad would be promoted to Lieutenant. Brucmack would soon depart to Tartarus and Gilad followed him there, serving in the squadron only a month before he fell inactive and was sent to the reserves. While in the reserves he would regroup and prepare to take a fresh approach at the TIE Corps, this time serving in Vortex Squadron aboard the Grey Wolf.

Return to the Grey Wolf

In early 2001, Gilad would transfer into Vortex squadron and within a week was appointed Flight Leader of the third flight. After months of service to the squadron, Gilad began to climb the ranks, being promoted to Lieutenant Commander in April and to Commander in July. In early July the Vortex's commander went inactive and Gilad assumed command of the squadron, issuing Acting Commander reports until a replacement could be found. The Commodore of the time, Khadgar, and the Wing Commander, Azazel Djo'Tarr, believed they had already found their man and promoted Gilad to Commanding Officer of Vortex Squadron. However unforeseen events would force Gilad to step down after not even a month as Commander of the squadron.

Trip to the Vanguard

Two months after stepping down as Vortex Squadron Commander, Gilad turned his eyes to other parts of the fleet, seeking to once more attempt to command a squadron. After filing several applications he was accepted and promoted to Commanding Officer of Echo Squadron aboard the ISD Vanguard. He would serve in the position for three month, working with the future Science Officer Ender mBind, before he caved into frustration that had been building due to the continued inactivity of the squadron, despite his best efforts.

Returning Once More

In February of 2002, Gilad stepped down as Echo Squadron Commander and hopped on the first tranport back to the Grey Wolf, rejoining Vortex Squadron and settling into a semi-retirement after being appointed to his old position of Flight Three Leader again. Six months after his return he was promoted to Captain, maxing out his rank for the time being. He would remain here for a year, with bigger things on the horizon.

Onward and Upward

In August of 2003, Gilad would be selected as the new Wing Commander of Wing XIII, replacing his old friend, Hev Randrowan. It was during this time period that Gilad and his Commodore, Khameir Sarin would drastically increase recruitment efforts aboard the Grey Wolf, increasing it's membership to 60 members, a number that had not been attained by any ship in many years. During this time period the Grey Wolf would be selected as TCCOM's Own. When Sarin moved on to become Combat Operations Officer, Gilad was promoted to Commodore of the Grey Wolf and quickly set about preparing the ship for the upcoming Aggressor Strike Force Supremacy Competition VI. His first act as Commodore would be to promote then Odin CMDR and Monk Headman, Pickled Yoda to Wing Commander.

Supremacy Competition VI

At the beginning of 2004, then ASF BGCOM, Darksaber, launched Aggressor Strike Force Supremacy Competition VI, which Gilad was bent on leading his ship to victory and reclaiming the title of Flagship of the Aggressor Strike Force, which had been taken by the ISD Intrepid, two Supremacy Comps prior. Gilad's aim was also to lead by example as he started out by personally flying three battles a night in the opening week of the Supremacy Competition. Darksaber mysteriously vanished one week into the Supremacy Competition and Khadgar was appointed to the position of Aggressor Strike Force Battle Group Commander. It was from that point on that Gilad went from flying to counting, keeping running totals of every pilot on the Grey Wolf, since the original numbers had been lost in Darksaber's departure. When the month was up though, the Grey Wolf came out on top, in the process retaining the TCCOM's Own Award.

TIE Corps Database Crash

During Gilad's reign as Commodore of the Grey Wolf, the TIE Corps Database crashed and the previous back up set member profiles back a few months. Ever since his promotion to Wing Commander, Gilad had kept meticulous records on the activity of each pilot under his command, so he was quickly able to assist the Flight Officer by providing records of promotions, the Operations Officer by re-recommending medals that had been lost and the Tactical Office and pilots by providing each pilot with a list of battles and missions that they had completed during the time lost.

Gilad the Battlegroup Commander and Supremacy Competition VII

After completing one year as Commodore of the Grey Wolf, Gilad was selected to be Khadgar's successor< when he stepped down as Battlegroup Commander. His first plans were to launch Supremacy Competition VII within a month of his appointment, which he carried out, the SC starting on January 15 after all rules had been approved by the commanding officers of the battlegroup. Gilad took on the task of maintaining the point counts of every pilot by himself, freeing up Commodores Pickled Yoda and Gidda to fly, both of whom finished in the top three, Yoda finishing the competition as Top Pilot. All in all the competition was very sucessful, the increase in the value of MP matches brought on the most Non-WoW MP matches during one month in recent years and was the first Supremacy Competition to give points to pilots for Freeworlds activity.

The Logistics Office

In April of 2005, Gilad applied for the position of Operations Officer, but was offered and accepted the position of Logistics Officer. In August, he was promoted to Fleet Admiral. During his time as Logistics Officer, Gilad launched a new mirror for all EH Newsletters, started the Emperor's Hammer File Archives, ran the first Mr. and Ms. Emperor's Hammer Contest in early 2006, and with Astatine created and regularly worked on the Original Encyclopedia Imperia, which reached over 500 articles by the end of his career.

"BGCLOM" Gilad Pelleaeon and The End of Generation

In early March of 2006, Gilad was allowed to hold two positions, Battlegroup Commander of the Aggressor Strike Force and Logistics Officer on the grounds that he gradually phase out of his position as Logistics Officer. Within a week though, he found himself in the center of the controversy surrounding Khadgar, who had just resigned as Flight Officer, and his new club the Imperial Dominion. Gilad was accused of stealing the email addresses of Aggressor Strike Force members as well as participating in a plot to do harm to the Emperor's Hammer. Gilad and other members of the Imperial Dominion were expelled from the Emperor's Hammer by Executive Order of Grand Admiral Astatine. Not long after his expulsion, the Aggressor Strike Force and the ISD Grey Wolf were closed as part of a restructuring of the TIE Corps, effectively bringing an end to a chapter in the Emperor's Hammer's History.

Readmission and Operations Officer

In October of 2007, Gilad applied for readmission and was accepted on the terms that he was demoted to Lieutenant and lost all FCHG points, but was able to re-earn them. He was transferred to Green Squadron on the MC80B Redemption. He spent five months on the Redemption before applying for the long vacant Operation Officer position and being appointed shortly afterward. He served in this capacity for over a year and a half, until the position was eliminated in October of 2009.
