Introduction

This page serves as a guide on how to manually copy custom missions from the various StarWars games the Emperor's Hammer supports. Its community has created tons of content over the years and in just a few steps you can have it all at your fingertips.

Pre-Requisites

  1. EH Account. You need to be logged in to your account. If you do not have one, what are you waiting for? Visit https://tc.emperorshammer.org/join.php and register with the Emperor's Hammer!
  2. Backup your existing Battles and Missions. See details below per each game
  3. Ensure you have an application that can unzip ZIP files

Backup the Default Battles and Missions

Before you begin, backup the battles and missions that come with the game. The purpose is to avoid having to reinstall the game in order to restore these battles.

Xwing

  1. Go to the directory you have installed Xwing in.

Examples: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\STAR WARS X-Wing\ or C:\GOG Games\Star Wars - X-Wing

  1. You will find under the sub-directory classic two folders: MISSION and RESOURCE
  2. Create a _BACKUP folder and copy those two folders into that folder

TIE Fighter

  1. Go to the directory you have installed Xwing in.

Examples: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\STAR WARS X-Wing\ or C:\GOG Games\Star Wars - X-Wing

  1. Open the directory that you are using (classic / collectors_cd / remastered). Unlike Xwing, in TIE Fighter, the MISSION and RESOURCE folders exist in all three.
  2. Create a _BACKUP folder and copy those two folders into that folder. Repeat for all three in their respective folders (classic / collectors_cd / remastered)
