Corporate Division Ranks[edit]
While positions are always used to determine seniority relative to the chain-of-command and overall status, a separate ranking system is used to further stratify the Corporate Division and provide a further tool by which achievements and experience can be further recognized without the need for shifts in the chain-of-command itself. The ranks of the Corporate Division are a mix of civilian ("Technician," "Commissar") and military ("Admiral", "Warrant Officer") nomenclature to symbolise the merge of the traditional Corporate and Military Complexes into the single Trade Assembly.

| Fleet Admiral (FA) | Traditionally reserved for long-serving and distinguished Presidents of the Corporate Division, Fleet Admiral is the highest rank that any member of the Emperor's Hammer could reasonably expect to achieve in their career. |
| Admiral (AD) | This rank is awarded to Presidents of the Corporate Division for consistently excellent service. The only other CD member who can achieve this rank is the Executive Vice Prex, and only through outstanding and committed service at that. |
| Vice Admiral (VA) | Experienced Direx Board members who have served for a long period of time and demonstrated notable expertise in their position can expect to reach the rank of Vice Admiral. It is the highest rank a normal Vice Prex may achieve and the minimum rank for a newly appointed President of the Corporate Division. |
| Rear Admiral (RA) | Direx Board members who have proven their abilities over several months may be promoted to this rank. It is also the highest rank that an Adjutant may achieve. |
| Commissar General (CG) | This is the initial starting rank for new Direx Board members, and can also be achieved by Adjutants and Chief Executive Officers who have exemplified themselves in their duties. |
| Commissar (COM) | Commissars are most often experienced Chief Executive Officers and Detachment Commanders who have repeatedly demonstrated notable command expertise. This rank is also given to proven Adjutants. |
| Captain-Supervisor (CP) | The minimum rank for Adjutants, this rank is also awarded to Chief Executive Officers who have exemplified themselves in their duties and long-standing Detachment Commanders. |
| Master Warrant Officer (MWO) | New Chief Executive Officers will hold the rank of Master Warrant Officer before proving themselves capable in their duties and being promoted to Captain-Supervisor. This is also the highest rank Engineer Officers can achieve, indicating mastery over a particular skill. Engineer Officers holding this rank are few and far between, but highly respected through the entire Corporate Division for their abilities. |
| Warrant Officer (WO) | Detachment Commanders who have proven themselves capable of executing their duties capably and efficiently will most often be promoted to the rank of Warrant Officer. In addition to this, Warrant Officers can also be highly experienced Engineer Officers who have dedicated themselves to one area of expertise. |
| Senior Technician (SNR) | Amongst Engineer Officers, the rank of Senior Technician is a true mark of distinction. It signifies an officer that has honed their skills to a respectable level. It is also the minimum rank for new Detachment Commanders. |
| Technician (TCH) | Technicians are Engineering Officers that have developed their skills in their corporation's specialisation, and have contributed consistently to corporate projects or contracts. |
| Junior Technician (JNR) | Junior Technicians are the heart and soul of the Corporate Division. They are Engineering Officers that are honing their skills within their corporation's specialisation, and have successfully contributed to a corporate project or contract. |
| Assistant Technician (AST) | Assistant Technicians are typically newly-assigned members of CD Corporations who are fresh from training with a basic amount of skills. With further development, they can achieve Junior Technician ranking, and with dedication and effort, perhaps go further beyond. |
| Engineer Candidate (EC) | These are not members of corporations, but rather trainees who must study basic Corporate Division procedure (i.e. the information contained within this manual) and pass an exam before assignment to a corporate detachment. Once they have found a place in a corporation as an Engineer Officer, they will be promoted to the rank of Assistant Technician. |
