Around 3997 BBY during the rise of the Krath Order there were several who identified as Krath Priest's - Treml Czarnik was one of these. But unlike most of the Priests, he did not see the wisdom in beginning a war with the Jedi Knights. He preached that a war would only cost Krath lives and maybe even the annihilation of the Krath. Satal Keto quickly took notice of Czarnik and after publicly disgracing him, forced him into exile.
Czarnik, realizing that Keto had become consumed by the Dark Side, left the Empress Teta system to the planet Sif. There he began intensive training and studying in his own path of the Krath ways. He lived in seclusion the rest of his life. Legends say he uncovered many of the Krath’s secrets, but he passed away before he could pass his knowledge onto others.
An age later, a Krath Priest of the Dark Brotherhood, came upon the story in an ancient scroll. Krath Priest Bob-Fett while studying some ancient scrolls learned of the story of Czarnik and the planet he hid in seclusion, Sif, the same planet Bob-Fett’s House was located on. After some more searching he discovered Czarnik’s cave, where he had hid for all those years. In the cave were many Krath papers and books, but the most interesting thing the Krath Priest discovered was a shield. Apparently Czarnik had created a shield that would withstand a strike from a lightsaber.
The shield is typical size, gray in color, and has an ancient Krath symbol in the middle surrounded by letters. It is made of some metal that is previously unknown to the galaxy, After re-discovery, Bob-Fett took it too many mystics throughout the galaxy, yet no one was able to identify what it was made of.

Like the Talisman of Krath, the shield has holes for jewels to be inserted - and is in three sections that you can turn (center, middle, and outer rings).
Further research is advised before tampering with objects and spells you do not understand. KP Bob-Fett was known for his dedication to years of research before using the artifact, always wise to remember many have perished not understanding the power at hand.
The shield is known today as the Shield of Czarnik and while considered lost is still considered a prize possession of the Krath High Priest.
