Spectre Advanced Missile Boat
An advanced superiority fighter concept designed over the already legendary Missile Boat, the Spectre Advanced Missile Boat is a special operation craft idealized by the Shadow Works for the Emperor’s Hammer Strike Fleet.
As the debate over the Missile Boat’s weakness in using a single laser cannon raged amongst pilots, it was decided that a new design was necessary to cover that particular angle. The Spectre received an upgrade of two ion cannons, with independent capacitors, giving the pilot the ability to shunt power from triple energy systems directly to the shields, adding another layer of protection to the craft, and suppression firepower to quickly lower enemy shields for a warhead barrage, or even disable targets for capture. That change however removed the dedicated advanced concussion missiles pods from the Spectre, leaving only two general use pods.
The SubLight Acceleration Motor remained, and other aspects of the Spectre are virtually identical to the Missile Boat. Visually, it lost the star shaped profile, favoring two lateral wings, carrying the launcher pods, with the ion cannons mounted on the tips of the wings.
Today we see its deployment in only two flights around the Emperor’s Hammer Strike Fleet, and it’s laureled as a prime example of our engineers’ capabilities.
