Fictionally, Star Wars: Hunters is set on the Outer Rim world of Vespaara and takes place in the timeframe between Episodes VI and VII.
The game features 13 different Hunters you can play as, five distinct arenas and multiple PvP modes as well as a PvE mode called Grandstand which is now available to all players once you’ve reached a certain level.
The game will be discontinued as of October 1st 2025.
Setting and Arenas[edit]
In the PvP setting there are five arenas that you can play in:
- Ewok Village – Narrow walkways and elevated platforms among ancient trees.
- Mos Espa Podrace – Mos Espa brought to life, complete with pod racers!
- Dune Sea Outpost - An abandoned trading outpost on Tatooine
- Death Star Crossfire – Features corridors and power conduits of a damaged battle station.
- Vandor Railyard - Imperial Railcrawler Facility, nestled deep in the mountains of Vandor.
- Vaders Castle - A Mustafar themed map, players battle through the halls of this stronghold amongst pools of lava!
- Couscant Underworld - Set on the lower levels of Coruscant.
- Endor Aftermath - The Forest Moon of Endor.
- Hoth Frontline - Set on Hot and centered around a massive ion cannon you get to fight through the tunnels of an underground base.
Hunters and Classes[edit]
Thirteen Hunters represent Damage, Support or Tank classes. Players level up and unlock Hunters via in-match currency and post-match rewards.
Game Modes (PvP)[edit]
Hunters has four PvP modes, each rewarding strategic teamwork and map control:
- Squad Brawl – First team to 20 eliminations wins.
- Dynamic Control – Single control point rotates around the map; holding it accrues points.
- Power Control – Multiple static control points; score increases based on simultaneous captures.
- Trophy Chase – Teams contest possession of the Trophy Droid (TRO-F33); holding it fills a meter to 100 %.
Grandstand (PvE)[edit]
This mode was introduced in Season 5. Grandstand is Hunters’ cooperative PvE mode where teams of four Hunters face AI-controlled squads in arena-style encounters rather than human opponents. This mode is now available 24/7 until the game is closed down on October 1st 2025.
