Tkon Rift

From Emperor's Hammer Encyclopaedia Imperia

The Tkon Rift was a vast nebula that made up part of the Chaos in the Unknown Regions. After agreeing to help the Chiss and other worlds of the Cluster against the Kilji Illumine, the forces of the Emperor's Hammer moved to defend the Rift. In the first phase of the campaign (Imperial Storm VI), the Kilji were able to conquer much of the Tkon Rift, but were halted from advancing further into the Cluster by the Emperor's Hammer. In the second phase of the campaign (Raise the Flag 2024), the Emperor's Hammer counter attacked into the Rift and completely routed the Kilji Illumine.

Additional details on some of the systems and planets within the Tkon Rift are below.

Scinto IV (Star Chart P587)[edit]

An agricultural world, known for its vast crop fields and grazing ranges for herds of domesticated livestock. During the Tkon Rift campaign, Scinto IV was initially captured by the Kilji Illumine and then freed by the Emperor's Hammer. The inhabitants of Scinto IV welcomed the forces of the Emperor's Hammer with open arms. When the world was again retaken by the Kilji, the population was harshly punished. Their rich fields were left fallow and their villages were burned. The people were expelled into the wilderness and their leaders made an example of.

When the Kilji were finally expelled from Scinto IV, relief efforts by the Emperor's Hammer were bogged down due to heavy damage to the world's infrastructure.

Terakine (Star Chart A3828)[edit]

An arid planet with vast deserts inhabited by hardy nomadic tribes that became a focus during the campaign due to its rich natural resources. After Terakine was rescued by the Emperor's Hammer, a forward operating base nicknamed Hammer Point was constructed on the planet surface to increase local security.

Carido Prime (Star Chart P3865)[edit]

A water planet with tumultuous oceans containing deep-sea fuel refineries.

Prophet's Reach (Star Chart A5684)[edit]

An uninhabited system composed of asteroid belts and dwindling gas giants.

Yakab (Star Chart P3069)[edit]

A prosperous system with many factories and orbital yards. The battle for Yakab was especially brutal, with both sides committing large forces to try and gain control of the valuable facilities.

Prand (Star Chart A697)[edit]

A frozen world with cavern cities and deep refinery complexes.

Star Chart NE256[edit]

A night-world inhabited by an arachnid species with an unpronounceable name. The arachnids rejected the attempts of the Kilji to entice them to accept the Illumine faith. In retaliation, the Kilji commenced an orbital bombardment to destroy the hives and burrows of the native population.
