"Eternal Torment"

Background[edit]

FRG Tormentor is a Kuat Drive Yards EF76 Nebulon-B Escort Frigate, serial 31005.76.568.BESH, her superstructure was laid in 09 BBY, and she served in the 3rd Sector Escort Group of Bilbringi Shipyards.

Like many of its sister ships, it was captured by the Rebellion during convoy duty and used against the Empire. In 7 ABY, the Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet conducted a series of maneuvers against Rebel outposts in the Outer Rim.

FRG Tormentor was part of the local resistance but was finally liberated by the *Dark Brotherhood* members operating in the AO. After that, it was used as the homebase of House Galthain of Clan Satal Keto until 20 ABY, when the House was dissolved. Since then, it was assigned to the First Recon Division Command, under the SSD Avenger flotilla.

With the creation of the Secret Order, and the growth in our ranks, the Houses of Clan Drakonan found the need for new mobile platforms, and this mighty vessel was assigned to serve House Valkorion!

After many months in the shipyard being fully renovated, the Tormentor received many upgrades, such as Ion weaponry and quality of life facilities for its passengers and crew.

By sacrificing most of the cargo space, FRG Tormentor now operates as a raider, delivering an unhealthy amount of ion barrage on its prey, removing shield and disabling systems, while the brand new TIE Helldivers move around the enemy unleashing a most dangerous payload: live operatives.

Aiming to deliver Valkorion's finest close and personal to key areas of enemy starships, the modified TIE Punishers had their weaponry stripped and replaced by boarding torpedoes, a deadly new weapon in House Valkorion's arsenal.

Completing the upgrades, a complete Electronic Counter Measure suite adds to the Tormentor's survivability and infiltration capabilities.

Crew[edit]
J-2M "The Mop"
Service Droid | Chief Janitor
J2M.png A once old maintenance droid unit retrofitted into janitorial duties. Claims to have a memory of water, whatever that means. Quietly interfaces with auxiliary coolants and acts as a walking sensor for odd noises as well as microleaks within the ship.
Ralph "Knuckles" Torm
Human | Loadmaster, Deckhand
Ralph Torm.png Having fast hands but an even faster temper, always worked on a trade freighter, never leaving until by force. He is loyal to the people who feed him and is very steady in a docking scramble. He is able to move heavy crates with ease just as much as the occasional conversation with a crew mate. In his free time he enjoys wrestling with maintenance bots for pure fun and sport.
R3N-N "Ren"
Synth Droid | Morale Officer, Entertainer
R3n.png This droid has been programmed for entertainment purposes, which include but are not limited to music, stand up comedy and daily news updates. The droid is also excellent at crowd reading and is very charismatic with new and returning crew mates.
Detrix Ostel
Human | Lead Engineer, Mechanic
Detrix.png Growing up on an asteroid mining belt, half his life he spent on mining equipment or ships that would haul resources to and from the depots. Due to a mining incident, Detrix was forced to undergo cybernetic surgeries both internal and externally. Half of his heart consists of a pressure regulator with multiple metallic tubing throughout his chest. Due to his previous occupation, he also has a network of salvage contacts and a wide collection of questionable trophies.
Atriarch
B1 Battle Droid | Security
B1 Atriarch.png This droid was once built for battlefield duties as per the Confederacy during the Clone Wars. Now serving as a security droid to deal with violent and intoxicated ship crew or tourists on board the FRG Tormentor. This droid uses non-lethal methods of dealing with personnel by the use of tasers, net projectors, and lock overrides/security bolts if there is a malfunctioning droid in the area. Although this is a security droid, it is quite polite about detentions and will read detainee rights in a monotone manner. Also, this droid was built as a reserve army and never officially saw combat.
Pulse
B1 Battle Droid | Medical Assistant
B1 Pulse.png This droid unit "Pulse" assists the medical staff with triage, stabilizing trauma casualties, helps run medical scanner sweeps, and can assist in carrying injured personnel to either the med bay on board the Tormentor, or in a field medical area during an operation planetside. The droid unit has limited authority and always defers to the organic beings on board, such as the Doctors but is able to stabilize critical patients when needed.
Phattro
B1 Battle Droid | Cantina Server
B1 Phattro.png Phattro, who gained the nickname from being a popular liquor throughout the known galaxy serves as a barkeep on board the FRG Tormentor. He aims to keep the drinks flowing and the energies as high as the morale while the crew continues their missions for the glory of the Secret Order and House Valkorion.
Sparky & Diesel
Jawa | Maintenance Crew
Valk Jawas.png While Jawa travelers are an uncommon sight off of Tatooine, this rat-pack has formed an unholy alliance under the guidance of Kiluyak y Afaya TonTon Lo'wassa (Cloud Clan of the Sand Sail Barge). They all claim to be Jawa, and speak jawaese, yet bear an unearthly resemblence to a species known as Jenet. Infamous for incredible memories and scavenging, and with no race sure what is under a Jawa's robes, everyone just has to take the group's word that they are, in fact, Jawas that can somehow scuttle through the Tormentor's Ventilation shafts. As for how they got on the ship? No one is quite sure. It started with one, when Soontide brought Kiluak aboard. Then, he disappeared for awhile (as a Chiss historian does), and next thing anyone knew, he was back, and there were two more. Now he is gone again, and there are rumors he may have found more.

Notes[edit]

Any Operative is free to use the Tormentor in any piece of art and fiction, so go for it!
