BACKGROUND
The Backstory
Having been left to the sands by his already struggling family of seven siblings in an effort to appease the desert spirits and ask for a harvest, Kiluyak was found as an infant by a passing troupe of Jawa. They, due to their belief that all life is sacred and things left in the desert are a gift to them, took in the child only to discover, to their delight and horror, that the young rat was a Star Chosen. His birth, though not of the tribe, had clearly been meant for them and as such they raised him as their own. They raised him for three years before sending him away, as per custom, to the Jedi.
He was taken to the temple of Caamas; very different than his homeworld. There he trained hard in a creche of 11 others but was sadly never taken as a padawan. He was, however, allowed to stay unlike what would occur later on with children being sent away due to the fact that many Masters feared a Force-Sensetive child good prey for the Sith they were fighting. When he turned 15 he ws finally accepted as a padawan by a Transdoshan Master, who despised anything to do with rodents or padawans in general believing them to hold him back from proving himself glorious on the battlefield.
This unfortunate pairing would lead to the Master's death and Padawan's status listed as Dead in the Hall of Records less than a standard year later, when a diplomatic mission involved basic household extermination for a noble. This upset Kiluyak, who saw the rats as distant kin and revealed to his master that he was no Jawa, but a Sand Gift. In a moment of panic Kiluyak let fear control him and the force, freezing the floor beneath himself and his Master's feet. This caused the large lizard to fall and crack his head on the edge of a sharp stone dais.
Feeling the bond near instantly sever, Kiluyak ran for it after taking his master's lightsabers and armored belt; leaving his spare clothes and all Jawa trappings save his goggles behind. A quick severing of a gas line from the balcony, and a whispered push of force at a nearby banister, and the place went up in flames.
Kiluyak, now an adult, spent the next 5 years on the run. His tail markers removed, all but the green from a missing friend, he acted as everything from a Mercenary-for-Hire to a Hard Laborer. Few questioned the well built, but short, Jenet when he showed up with a lightsaber staff and a blade offering aid. After all, only Jedi of great power were brazen enough to wear an 'Army of Light' battle skirt so obviously. Though a few did try to get out of paying, his limited grasp of the force was usually enough to crudely get what was needed done and the threat of the might of his station was enough to do the rest.
This is what led to his imprisonment in Carbonite. A job for one of the Huttese nephews. A refusal to pay, and he nephew was the proud owner of a sculpture labeled Jedi Knight? Jedi Master? Army Of Light - Too Honorable for their Own Good
In that carbonite they stayed for a bit over 1,000 galactic standard years, until a Junior Grade Imperial Officer on a punishment patrol for lack of check-ins stumbled upon the carbonite cache. Most of the statues showed long dead sensors or fading flatlines, but one in the back still had the faintest flicker of power.
And so the Jenet awoke in 34 ABY, with no clue that 'The War' ended or that everything he knew was gone. All that was left of his past life upon unfreezing was his body, the scavenger clothes he had been wearing, two crystals that glowed and pulsed, a single fogged lens with noticeable cracks and some shard that was once metal and crystal.
Said Officer, one named Soontide, helped him gather the remains into a bag, and with very little fanfare had easily helped the Jenet find his way to an Imperial Cruiser. After all, who leaves a living Jedi fossil just walking around on a dead planet when there is still so much to learn?
