Controversy leading to the news report

In the Kappa Squadron report immediately after leocadio's arrival, LC Repulsor wrote: "The Squadron welcomes its newest member, SL Leocadio, whose name was typed in all-lowercase since TIE Goat somehow has chosen the SHIFT key to be chewed on, and replacement is slow to happen."

This prompted a response from MAJ Drachen: "I was hoping it wouldn't come to this but ... can we please be mindful of our new SL's name choices. I know it's odd but ever since his dog was crushed by a Capital L that fell off a building when he was a child he as forever had a phobia and a hatred of all capital l's please any communication with him please be mindful of this as you type."

To which leocadio replied: "Sometimes I cry myself to sleep when I think about a capital l."

Despite pleas from leocadio, VA Plif enforced the naming standards. Later, as it became apparent that leocadio's mental well-being was suffering, Plif reversed his earlier request and the TCCOM restored leocadio's name to its original glory.
