Ranger Squadron

Falcon Squadron was an Reconnaissance squadron attached to Wing XI of the ISD Immortal. It operated from 1999 until March 2nd, 2003, when it was closed and merged into Falcon Squadron, one year prior to the closure of Wing XI and the Immortal as a whole.

Background

From the Ranger Squadron website, circa 2001:

Welcome to the most famous, deadliest, craziest and drunken Squadron of the ISD Immortal. You may ask our name, well... officially we are called Ranger Squadron but most people know us as Lurps.

Now you may ask, "What is a Lurp?". Well, we are a reconnaissance Squadron and our job is to do "Long Range Recon Patrols", short form is LRRP - pronounced "Lurp" That's the reason why we are called Lurps. We aren't a "do-only-the-necessary" group so you can expect a lot of action.

Only people with the "Lurp factor" have the right attitude to serve in this great squadron. Only people with this factor will be successful in their career and in this Squadron. But what is the Lurp factor? The Lurp factor consists of a combination of following things:

• A good portion of madness
• Being capable of drinking a lot of alcohol
• Being prepared to fight at all time and everywhere(Bars and cantinas preferred)
• Being a good pilot
• Following some orders (Cleaning latrines or serving as a medical experiment subject)
