Blue Squadron

From Emperor's Hammer Encyclopaedia Imperia

Introduction[edit]

Green Squadron is one of the four squadrons on board of the MC80B Redemption. It is a Squadron of the Infiltrator Wing of the TIE Corps.
It was not a Squadron of the original Infiltrator Wing Subgroup. It was created and opened by Vice Admiral Pellaeon 06/28/2007.

Founding[edit]

Blue Squadron was founded by Vice Admiral Pellaeon and Wing Commander Stryker in 2007 following a boom in recruitment among the Infiltrator Wing. Blue Squadron, much like its older sister squadron, Green, maintained an eclectic collection of starfighters to better suit its role as an infiltration unit.

Blue Squadron quickly secured its place among the Infiltrator Wing, operating independently or as part of a mixed strike package, and proving that although using a variety of ships increases maintenance time, it also provides added tactical flexibility. Squadron Commander Dengar March was widely believed, at the time, to be the heir-apparent to the Wing Commander position should Stryker depart.

Deactivation[edit]

Following severe losses taken among TIE Corps, both in materiel and historical data, the TIE Corps was forced to undergo a period of consolidation. As part of this, smaller squadrons were combined or closed to concentrate active pilots in the squadrons that remained. It was as part of this Corps-wide restructuring that Blue Squadron was decommissioned in 2009.

Commanders[edit]

Dengar March was first to command Blue Squadron, having been selected as part of the founding process. Following his retirement, Myn Donos would take command and remain in place for two years. Following a period where Blue Squadron lacked a commander, Aija Alura Judarrl would take command and oversee the squadron until its decommissioning as part of a restructuring of the TIE Corps.
