Nox Aeterna

Nox Aeterna is the youngest of the five Hetaeriae within the Dark Brotherhood. Founded on the principle of activity, the youth of the unit has once again worked to stymie the decline of the Brotherhood.

Formation

The formation of the Hetaeriae was one of desperation. The reorganization of the entire Brotherhood was enacted under the leadership of Grand Master Czulvang Lah. Four Hetaeria were immediately formed; Validus, Taranis, Cethin, and Maelstrom replaced the former clans Arcona and Tarentum, each made up of three houses that were order-locked.

Life once more was rekindled within the Dark Brotherhood, albeit a negligible amount in the scheme of things. Due to this, the activity that had ensued slowly dwindled to very little to even no presence of activity whatsoever. The Brotherhood fell into a period of idling, a limbo between life and death. Some individuals attempted to fix it, but their efforts were too spread out and few in number.

The Beginning

This was the period of strife that two individuals conspired. Xantros and Max were two former Arconan's, separated by the offers of power in different locations of the Brotherhood's domain. A former Dux of Hetaeria Maelstrom, Xantros was an influential being. The two had both been serving as Quaestors within Arcona before its end. That is how they knew each other, and had come to gain the other's friendship.
