The Dark Jedi Brotherhood initially joined the Emperor's Hammer under Grand Master [[Kane Vader]] in NL 18, or 6/2/1995. It was the second subgroup, following the TIE Corps. It continued to function, however, as it's own organization and was, according to GA [[Ronin]] "...never been fully integrated into the EH". 10 years later, in NL 110 (2005) the Brotherhood split away from the Emperor's Hammer, taking with it many members of the EH. In the beginning of the 2000's, the membership of the Dark Brotherhood was nearly 1400 members. Following the Exodus, only around 500 remained. That era was seen as the peak of the Emperor's Hammer, and it still has not recovered to those numbers, almost 25 years later.

The Exodus was the official separation of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood from the rest of the Emperor's Hammer. The Dark Jedi Brotherhood initially joined the Emperor's Hammer under Grand Master Kane Vader in NL 18, or 6/2/1995. It was the second subgroup, following the TIE Corps. It continued to function, however, as it's own organization and was, according to GA Ronin "...never been fully integrated into the EH".

The Dark Jedi Brotherhood, on the other hand, frames the Exodus differently. They call it the "Second Brotherhood Civil War". Their take on the Exodus is that the FC, Ronin, was becoming "insular" and was only meeting with the EHCS and advisors. Under the leadership of "The Seven", who were players Firefox, Jac Cotelin, Justinian Khyron, Chi-Long, Corran Force, and Trevarus Caerick, the Dark Brotherhood petitioned for an amicable release. They say that FC Ronin refused. Of those that stayed loyal to Ronin and the Emperor's Hammer, a large portion belonged to Clan Alvaak.

Some of the highest ranking members of the Emperor's Hammer Dark Brotherhood left, including SA Sarin, who left 2 years after the Exodus, however, he was still successful and respected by both the EH and the DBJ.
