The First Recon Division, according to the Emperor's Hammer Lore/Storyline, is the group of 3 (technically 4) battlegroups that are active, and are exploring the Uknown Regions of the galaxy. It is made up of Battlegroups 1, 2, and 3, as well as the First Recon Division command on the SSD Avenger. The First Recon Division contains the ISDs Hammer, Grey Wolf, Warrior, Relentless, Challenge as well as the MC90 Renegade.
It is currently under the command of the Fleet Commander, Grand Admiral Rapier.
