− | Astin is an Admiral in the Emperor's Hammer who was formerly [[Training Officer]]. | |

− | ==TIE Corps==
| |
− | | |
− | Astin began his career in the Emperor's Hammer as a TIE Corps Cadet on board the Platform Daedalus in 1999. His first assignment was in Sadhe Squadron of Wing V on board the SSSD Sovereign. He served only a month before he was declared AWOL due to him leaving to search for his wife who had gone missing. After months of searching, he found nothing and returned to the Emperor's Hammer to request to be returned to duty. After much negotiating, Astin was able to re-enter the fleet with the stipulation that he complete training again. After his second stint on PLT Daedalus, Astin was promoted to Lieutenant in Aleth Squadron of Wing III on board the SSSD Sovereign. He was quickly elevated to Flight Leader of Beth Flight 3 and then Squadron Commander of Daleth Squadron.

− | Astin served in Daleth Squadron until achieving the rank of Captain, when he returned to flying as a Flight Member in various squadrons. Over the next year, Captain Astin was in Reserve status, serving as a Flight Member and Squadron Commander only when called upon. When his old friend, Raith Sienar, retired from his position as Wing XIV Wing Commander, he recommended Captain Astin for his replacement. He accepted and was promoted to Major on board the ISD Intrepid. Major Astin served in that position until his second wife gave birth to a son. After that, he retired from the TIE Corps and returned to Reserve status for several years. He was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel upon retirement for his service as Wing Commander.

− | After several years of serving in the Reserves, Lieutenant Colonel Astin returned to full active duty after an old commanding officer of his, Major Evo Sarnok, requested that he come back. Astin served in Sin Squadron of Wing VI on board the SSSD Sovereign for a little while, before he took a change of pace and accepted a position as Flight Leader of Blue Squadron in the Infiltrator Wing. Astin flew a B-Wing against the New Republic for several months. It was not fun, but very gratifying to take down the Rebels with their own equipment. When an opening in the Emperor's Hammer Command Staff opened up, Astin quickly expressed interest in the position due to his wife expecting a second child. He thought that a staff position would work better for his family.
| |
− | | |
− | Soon after his application was submitted, Grand Admiral Astatine and Sector Admiral Cyric selected Astin to take the position of Training Officer and to be promoted to Vice Admiral. Vice Admiral Astin moved into his new office on board the SSSD Sovereign and took control of IWATS and PLT Daedalus training, being promoted to Admiral soon after his appointment He serves in this position to this day.
