R5-T3

R5-T3, also known as "Spotter", is currently assigned to Theta Squadron, stationed on board the Imperial-II Class Star Destroyer Warrior.

Biography

R5-T3 is a support astromech that assists Theta’s pilots with their daily duties whilst on missions and assists the mechanical crew with minor repairs or ship diagnostics. This droid was commissioned in 32 ABY, fresh off the assembly line. Although new, R5-T3 has been a valuable asset since their assignment to Theta.

R5-T3 was deemed the nickname “Spotter” on behalf of Theta’s Flight Leader, Jai Thorne for the continuous and dedicated work on repairing and spotting inconsistencies of needed repairs for the various TIE Fighters they’ve had to perform on. For finding minor flaws that were either overlooked by previous mechanics, their work has proved itself as a crucial member among Theta’s pilots.

Although R5-T3 didn’t understand the nickname it was given, it eventually came around and began acknowledging the name down the road as members of Theta referred to it as “Spotter” over their initial designation. During their short time within the squadron, they have already assisted in a recent campaign, Tkon Rift. Proving their valuable work, we believe “Spotter” will be here for the long run.

Aside from their maintenance duties onboard the Warrior, “Spotter” began forming a bond with members of Theta, better situating itself as the tight knit group they are. Although not flesh and blood, with their recent adoption of professional manners, we can now consider “Spotter” as one of our own, in the brotherhood.

Outside of the mechanical side of their duties, R5-T3 also assists the Flight Leader, Jai Thorne in his flight records and help in uploading data and logs to the systems on board the ISD-II. It would be later known that “Spotter” would become Jai Thorne’s personal astromech for many more missions flown while serving Theta Squadron as a reliable astromech.
