Sol'Rahl is a planet of extremes. Harsh winters and extremely hot summers give the planet a chaotic image. It's beauty is unimaginable however. The Forests, populated by the Jedo, are an ancient, ever growing combination of extraordinary flora and fauna. A summers spent in the forests of Sol'Rahl is never to be forgotten. If you survive that is.

The planet is almost uninhabited, save for the personnel of the Tactician. His estate is located on the planet, even though many think of it as foolishness. The Kreen, a sapient, yet heavily underdeveloped species are the main reason of the lack of settlements on the planet. The Kreen have already wiped out entire colonies with their lust for food.

The Kreen are not humanoid. Their 4-legged bodies are covered with some sort of protective armor and are hard to kill with conventional weaponry. They have a short neck, and their teeth are suited for ripping apart anything, varying from bodies to trees. Nobody ever managed to make contact with the species and survive. Its motivation is yet unknown. Fortunately, the Tactician's weapon systems never had any problem with defeating Kreen raids.

The Cliffs of Sol'Rahl are massive. Large peaks of rock emerge from the sea, reaching and sometimes even topping the ridge that separates the land from the sea. Many slave, servant and tourist are still pinned on one of the many, many peaks along the coast. You will not find any beaches on Sol'Rahl. The lowest separation between land and see was measured at 100 meters; and that was an exception.

The other sapient species are a kind one, and often a prey for the Kreen. The Jedo are small, furry animals that have a very complex society, yet to be determined. They tend to be underestimated, but their intelligence almost equals that of the average humanoid. They tend to be excellent companions, if they decide to leave their tribe. Although the Kreen hunt throughout the year, the Jedo will only be seen during the summer and fall. They spend the winter in the comfort of their caves, out of sight for hunters like the Kreen.

Moons

Gemelo Paraiso

Gemelo Paraiso, translated "beautiful jewel, also known as The Lost Moon of Sol'rahl is the former sattelite of Sol'rahl. Originally the moon had no axel tilt and over 80% free water, allowing a water canopy to form directly above the stratosphere protecting the moon's surface. The species on this planet were virtually untouched by all harmful rays that shorten most creatures' lifespan, and most of them lived for more than a millennium. The sapient species, Kultiran, averaged at twenty two meters in height, with their equine beasts of burden, Aurenor, being even larger.

Everything changed for these inhabitants when a stray meteor hit the northern hemisphere. The impact was so great that Gemelo Paraiso was knocked out of its orbit around Sol'rahl and tilted on its axis eight degrees. The result was catastrophic; the moon could no longer support the delicate balance of the water canopy and it crashed down onto the inhabitants below. The pressure was so intense that living creatures became fossilized or oil, carbon became diamonds, and vast plains became a network of deep canyons in the weeks it took for the canopy to cave in completely. By the time the canopy had fallen, Gemelo Paraiso was trapped by the gravity of Lyarnaa star, Zahnis. It was close enough to the sun that almost all of the free water evaporated. Fires spontaneously erupted and raced across the barren surface, fueled by the vast amounts of hydrogen gas. These moon-wide fires provided a layer of rich ash, and allowed a new atmosphere to form.

While the moon was slowly changing, parties were still being sent from the Old Republic to search for it. However, it was close enough to the sun that coronas prevented Gemelo Paraiso from being seen with the naked eye, and the solar flares were frequent enough to prevent it from being discovered by sensors. A few years ago, it was finally rediscovered by a Smuggler attempting to escape his pursuers by cutting through the Lyarnan system close to the star. His tactic worked a little too well, for his own ship was damaged even as his enemies' ships were destroyed. He made an emergency landing onto Gemelo Paraiso and was able to repair his ship, only to be caught within an hour after taking off by the Bounty Hunter's Guild. He pleaded for his life before Dark Prince Royal and told him about the wayward moon in hopes that his life would be spared in exchange for the information. Weeks after his execution, a team of developers was sent to discover how the moon could benefit the guild.

Three years later, the BHG has established a colony on the lost moon of Sol'rahl. The flood left an incredible amount of rich resources that are untouched beneath the surface in both precious stones and transportable energy, only to be used in case the guild requires vast amounts of money within a short time. It also left a continent a breathtaking labyrinth of canyons that cut dozens of kilometers into the surface of Gemelo Paraiso that are almost impossible to navigate without a map researchers painstakingly constructed. It is here that the exploratory team set up a large shield that serves the same purpose as the water canopy. For these reasons, it is home to both former Dark Prince Royal's estate and the Commission Warehouse, the latter of which is rumored to include cloning chambers.
