Adom "fr0Zen" Wietu is currently the Battlegroup Commander of Battlegroup II.

Biography

Early Life

Adom learned to be self-sufficient for two factors: the modest means of his upbringing, and for how his journey through early education left him without lasting friendships. The future ace pilot's skills were apparent early - causing jealousy and bitterness among his peers, leaving him suspect of the value in forging early relationships as his first attempts led to moments of betrayal repeatedly. While Pantora is known for its wisdom and maturity in an even balance of perceiving the matters of the greater galaxy, the youth have fiery spirits that they are slow to grow past.

The loss of his mother was a singularly impactful event - an event that spurred him from philosophical and esoteric studies into the path of a Pilot he lives to this day. The New Republic would never be able to restore the balance and order that Pantora enjoyed under the Empire's umbrella, and taking up Flight Wings means he has a direct hand in delivering that balance so that suffering on his home world under the New Republic will ease. The New Republic has never seen their moon as important enough to merit the level of resources enjoyed while the Emperor reigned.

The Wietu Clan

The family Wietu lived on modest means - but in comfort from a village who's first principal was "The more you share, the more your bowl will be plentiful."

As the scourge of the New Republic arose, the Wietu clan on Pantora suffered greatly from internal division. His father, Franix, blamed the Empire for the loss of the family's matriarch, Katlina, to a condition he believed was treatable if the Empire had been more supportive of Pantora's needs, and in essence the man he was died with her leaving a shell that fell into allegiance with factions supporting the New Republic.

His brother, Dawu, teetered on allegiance for years before seeing the virtue of faith in restoring the Empire - in no small part due to the example set by Adom's sister, Molia - who studied medicine at the Imperial University, serving within the fleet to this day.

Service in the Empire's hands was the best path to a better future for both Adom and his sister, Molia - while their brother Dawu carved out a successful life serving independently as a Network Architect for the Galatic Data Relay System.

Adulthood

The only known occupation on his record prior to serving in the fleet was as a Cantina Barkeep. Those who know him best perceive that time as a contributor to the even spirit and ability to find the most important battle to fight, no matter how large or small - no matter how chaotic a situation might seem to less experienced members of the fleet.

The loss of his mother was a singularly impactful event - an event that spurred him from philosophical and esoteric studies into the path of a Pilot he lives to this day.

Graduating with honors from the Imperial Flight Academy was the moment that opened all of Adom Wietu's future. The fact that the Academy was no longer located on Coruscant due to the overthrow of Emperor Palpatine had no impact for his pride in taking up service.

Wietu has at times focused on artistic pursuits in the written word and the challenges of musicianship. He also is known to enjoy a good drink, a bit of smoke - the habits prone to a working class member of the Galaxy.

Prone to a disarming laughter at both the tautness of Command's expectations and to the antics of younger pilots fresh from the Academy, Wietu is known for being a dedicated listener with a mind for finding solutions and balance where others see only problems and disorder.

TIE Corps

With a distinguished career that has seen time excelling in all the single pilot craft offered by our fleet, Wietu was an easy choice to be appointed Commander of Rho Squadron aboard the ISDII Warrior. His prowess at successfully dogfighting in TIE/sa Bombers gave him special strength in training pilots for maximum deadliness in TIE/IN Interceptors.

A vision he received while visiting his home world of the Pantoran Moon led him to step away from his role as Commander, returning to a flight member status in deference to a steadier hand in Westric Davalorn - a decision made due to the intensity of seeing the entire destruction of Rho Squadron in that vision, and Wietu's feeling from the vision that the loss was his fault for not pursuing a change to shielded craft as the dangers from improvements to Rebellion fighters became more prevalent.

Seeing the ongoing growth trajectory of Rho Squadron under Davalorn's leadership - and the resulting outcome being commendation for the squad to convert into TIE/Advanced - has been a blessing of relief for Wietu. The recurring flashes of his terrifying vision ceased in full since the change of craft and have not returned.
