Medal of Tactics

The Medal of Tactics (MoT) is a service medal of the Emperor's Hammer. The Medal of Tactics was the first award created in the Emperor's Hammer in Newsletter #6 (January 26, 1995) alongside the Commendation of Service. The first recipients were Cli4ord, Shawshank, and Andrew.

Criteria

The Medal of Tactics (Mot) is awarded by the Tactical Officer to members who create or update an Emperor's Hammer Battle Center-approved battle or free mission for use in the EH. Battle creations are rewarded with a Red Hammer(-rh). Free mission creations are rewarded with a Green Hammer(-gh). Members who perform authorized and supervised renovations on official battles and free missions, and those under review for official status by the Tactical Office (Betas), are awarded with a Blue Hammer(-bh). The MoT may be awarded to and displayed by any Emperor's Hammer member regardless of subgroup.

Award Authority

Recommendation Authority: Subgroup Commander, or any member of the Tactical Office.

Approval Authority: Tactical Officer, Executive Officer, or Fleet Commander.

Varieties

The Medal of Tactics is always issued with an affixed device denoting the variety of the award.

• Green Hammer (-gh) - For creating a complete battle.
• Red Hammer (-rh) - For creating a free mission.
• Blue Hammer (-bh) - For performing editing/renovations on free missions or battles as per Tactical Officer guidelines.

Order of Precedence

The Medal of Tactics has the highest precedence of the Emperor's Hammer service medals, and the ribbon is worn before the Medal of Instruction.
