Epsi-Cola

Overview

Epsi-Cola is galaxy wide refreshing beverage originally invented by the pilots of Epsilon Squadron and legendary bar-person Valin Tusk at the squadron bar aboard the ISD Hammer sometime around 18 BBY.

Epsi-Cola is notable for appearing to be just a regular tasting and looking soft-drink, which pilots might be 'enjoying' before and after their duty-shifts, but which is actually a potent alcoholic drink known to inspire both courage and recklessness in those who imbibe it.

When asked if she condoned her pilots drinking before missions Commander Nova Discordia was seen recently to quickly hide her can of Epsi-Cola whilst muttering "no comment".

Early History

Records for the beginnings of Epsi-Cola are very limited, or in some cases appear to actually have been redacted, presumably by either EH High Command and/or a previous Epsilon Squadron Commander. In fact it was only by chance that Commander Nova Discordia found references to the creation of this beverage when reviewing some old squadron files.

Upon talking to a previous Epsilon Squadron Commander, Coranel Both, Nova was able to piece together what little is remembered or known with any degree of certainty.

According to the testimony of veteran Epsilon Squadron pilots, this now legendary brew was created by one Valin Tusk who was for many years, steward and bar-keep at the Epsilon squadron bar on the ISD Hammer. Rumour has it that Valin created the drink, with the help of several senior Epsilon pilots serving at the time, sometime around 18 ABY.

Intriguingly, Nova also heard that shortly afterwards, Valin disappeared into the Unknown Regions - apparently seeking the 'final ingredient' for Epsi-Cola- as story that has since become known as the Legend of Valin Tusk.

The ISD Hammer's Drink of Choice

Epsi-Cola soon became the drink of choice not only for pilots from Epsilon, but quickly for all the pilots of the ISD Hammer. To this day, its recipe is a closely guarded secret, handed down from one Epsilon Commander to next. Commander Nova Discordia has confirmed however, that this recipe does seem to missing some ingredients, so perhaps there is some truth in truth about the mysterious disappearance of Valin Tusk?

A Galaxy Wide Beverage!

Coranel Both is credited as fully realising the credit-making potential of Epsi-Cola, during his time as Commander of the squadron and soon dedicated production plants were set up on Aurora Prime, from which the now fully branded product has been imported throughout the known galaxy and beyond, making Epsilon Squadron famous on many worlds.

The latest developments for Epsi-Cola have been the recent appointment in 30 ABY of a new CEO of Epsi-Cola, inc. Zala Delste is an experienced, and ruthless business-being from the core worlds, with a bold new version for Epsi-Cola.
