TIE Corps Commander Assistant (TCCOMA)

Position Description: The TCCOMA reviews uniforms for accuracy and adherence to established guidelines

Duties:

  • Manages the uniform approval queue on the TC site
  • Provides guidance to pilots whose uniform submissions have been denied
  • Posts updated uniforms in the #uniform-updates channel in Discord

Chain of Command: The TCCOMA reports to the TCCOM

Contact Requirements: Low, mostly answering questions on Discord and conferring with the TCCOM about uniform policy

Uniform Approval Guidelines

The following requirements are in effect for uniform approval:

  • Uniforms need to reflect the submitter's current active duty assignment as opposed to a previous or future assignment
  • Uniforms must not reflect ranks, awards, or positions that are not present on the submitter's profile
  • Submissions must include a dress uniform, duty uniform, or flight helmet generated by TTT3. Submissions may include a combination of those elements.
  • Uniforms may have a background added to them, but the central focus must remain on the uniform(s) and/or flight helmet and the background must be appropriate for display on the pilot's profile

If a submission doesn't meet one of the criteria listed above, the TCCOMA may either deny the submission or discuss it with the TCCOM before moving forward.

Uniform Approval Process

  • Access the uniform approval page on https://tc.emperorshammer.org/process_uniforms.php
  • Save each uniform to local or cloud storage. Make sure to save the full image as opposed to the thumbnail. These will be uploaded to Discord later.
  • Compare each submission to its submitter's profile
    • If everything matches up, select the Approve radio button for that submission
    • If something's amiss, select the Deny radio button for that submission. Write a comment indicating what's wrong with the submission. Do NOT sign the comment as the site will add your name in the notification that will be sent to the pilot. Assuming that they've opted-in to uniform notifications; be aware that pilots can opt out of those.
  • After you're done reviewing one or more uniforms, use the Process Uniform Submissions button at the bottom of the page. Any uniforms you don't want to take any action on may remain at the default None option.
  • Post the new uniforms to the #uniform-updates channel in Discord. The TCCOM hasn't been pinging pilots because that doesn't seem necessary. Copy/pasting the pilot's name from their profile as opposed to typing it manually is recommended to avoid typos. The text shortcut for the down arrow icon is .
  • Delete the copies of the uniforms that were saved to local or cloud storage
