House Dinaari is a house of the now defunct Clan Taldryan

History[edit]

The history of House Dinaari is shrouded in mystery and intrigue. There are many legends and myths surrounding its past. One legend above others is told time after time. No-on knows if the legend is true or not, but there can be no doubt in the minds of any who have heard it that Dinaari has a powerful and strong history, and is a force to be reckoned with.

The tale begins many thousands of years ago, with a solitary jedi. Cast out by his kind for experiments then classed as dangerous he found an isolated planet, and there made his home. Not knowing why he had been brought to the planet, he continued with his experimenting, his aim to find a power source for his lightsabre that was easily available. At the time, no such source was known of. All who spoke of the existance of such a source were thought of as lunatics and removed from any position of power where they could be considered a danger to society. This jedi, tho, had been different. Stripped of all power and authority, he had refused to give up his studies. Considered a danger to those around him, he was sent of on a mission to discover all he could about the outer worlds, and to stay there until he discovered his beloved power source.

For many years the jedi sat on his planet, making notes and gathering information. All the while, he continued his experiments, trying to find his source. Over the years, other jedi joined him on the planet. Anyone who passed through the area, picked up his signal, and went to investigate, was convinced by his logic and stayed to help him search for his dream. Without the backing of the peers, his arguments were persuasive and eventually there came into being a community living on the planet.

The jedi, by now an old man, had become accustomed to his solitude, and went into the valleys around to work. Here he found many crystals, which gave the planet its purple glow. Much experimenting with the crystals showed him how, if he harvested them at the right time, he could use them to power his sabre.

The rest of the colony slowly forgot about the old jedi, and eventually forgot about his experiments. Settling on the planet they began to grow and establish a social order. After many years of solitude in the valleys, the old jedi knew that he could not live much longer. He harvested the best crystal he could find, and, inserting it into his lightsabre, left it by the edge of the settlement and went off into the wilderness to live his last few years in peace.

The settlers, who by now had all but forgotten about the jedi and his quest, found the sabre in the morning. Those who found it did not realise its meaning, and took it to the elders of the community. Here, there were some amongst them who still remembered the old jedi, tho his name was forgotten to them. They realised what he had done, and its significance.

A search was immediately organised for the old jedi, but no trace was ever found of him. Those who had never met him started to doubt his existance and so the story of his construction of the lightsabre had passed unlogged into history. The colony, however, took his ideas and worked on them, striving to best what he had managed to achieve. In doing so, there grew a group of jedi who knew their own sabre better than they knew themselves, who knew its working and could command its every move. They developed skills beyond any other, and formed the formidable House Dinaari.
