Located on the equator of the planet Lears and spanning approx. 4 million km² Pomojema's low rolling hills are densely wooded and pierced by large mounds of volcanic rock. Its lowest areas are consumed by mist filled swamps. The area is named for it's similarities to the location of the Temple of Pomojema on Minban. Much of Pomojema remains undiscovered.

History

Due to it's dense woodlands and dangerous wildlife Pomojema was not settled when Lears was colonised in 122 BBY and initial expeditions into the area ended in tragedy. The area was left untouched during the Karanan Civil War.

After the Karana System and it's worlds including Lears were annexed by the Emperor's Hammer surveys by members of the Dark Brotherhood marked Pomojema as an area of interest. When Clan Taldryan established their seat of power in the Karana System, it was left to House Ektrosis to tame the wilds of Pomojema and uncover its secrets.

The task of settling Pomojema was initially seen as an undesirable project. It took months before House Ektrosis eventually secured a foothold and began efforts to map the area, which was obscured from aerial mapping by both the woodlands dense canopy and the planets naturally adverse thick fog and generally poor weather conditions.

When it was suddenly announced that the work to settle Pomojema had been cancelled, it was easy for the populous of Lears to believe that the project to construct industry or homes in such an area had proven impractical or too costly. However, this was not the case, House Ektrosis had discovered precious crystal formations known as Kaiburr Crystals within an ancient temple, a secret reported only to Clan Taldryan, the Dark Council and the Fleet Commander of the Emperor's Hammmer. This brought a greater Imperial presence to Lears, resulting in a spurt of economic growth and Imperial laws outlawing travel to or through Pomojema.

Over a period of years House Ektrosis redeveloped the aptly named Temple of Pomojema in secret (not to be confused with the Temple of the same name on Minban).

Temple of Pomojema

This ancient temple originates a long time before the Emperor's Hammer annexed the Karana System. The contents of the temple have meant that it's location has largely been kept a secret. Only Clan Drakonan, the Dark Council, the Fleet Commander and the sites former occupants Clan Taldryan know where it can be found. The temple was built around a gigantic meteor which is believed to have come from the planet Kaiburr. It is full of Kaiburr Crystal deposits which are used in lightsaber construction and as such are in great demand. The only other place known where the crystals can be found is beneath the surface of the planet Kaiburr, where mining is strictly controlled.

After it's discovery by House Ektrosis, the site was redeveloped as their seat of power where the Krath could study the Dark side and practice their techniques. During this time the Orb of Pomojema was housed here.

During the Exodus as Taldryan fled the system the site of the temple was sacked and very little of the building survived.

Efforts to secure the Kaiburr Crystal deposits fell to Clan Drakonan and in 19 ABY construction of a new Temple of Pomojema began. As knowledge of the site was no longer a strongly held secret, the Temple of Pomojema was built as more of a defensible stronghold, with sub bunkers able to withstand planetary bombardment, safe guarding the Kaiburr Crystal deposits for the foreseeable future.
