The main part of the Intelligence Division is split up into four small, organized sections called Bureaus. Each Bureau carries out a different function and is independent of the others. However, each Bureau relies upon the others for vital information. Individually, these Bureaus do not amount to much, however, together, they make up the core of Intelligence within the Emperor's Hammer. At the most basic level of organization, each Bureau is run by a Bureau Director (BUDR), who oversees Bureau Agents (BUAG). However, if the need arises, any Bureau may be divided up into branches, with each branch run by a Branch Leader (BRLR) and filled with Branch Agents (BRAG). And if more organization is required, branches can be divided up into system cells, with each cell run by a System Cell Leader (SCLR) and filled with System Cell Agents (SCAG). Currently, however, all bureaus are run at the base level of organization (a BUDR commanding BUAGs).

Note: Agents must be active for 30 days in their assigned bureaus before requesting an inter-bureau transfer.

Bureau of Operations (BOO)[edit]

From the Imperial Source Book: Bureau of Operations-- Of all the bureaus in Imperial Intelligence, this is the one which is called the "Bureau"; no one in Imperial Intelligence for more than a few days would call it anything else. The Bureau handles the covert operations which are beyond the scope or require greater resources than those of the average agent cells. The Bureau may send in a team of specialist to a sector, in effect creating an at-large agent cell, or they may send a few agents to augment an existing cell for a single mission. What this means inside the EH Intelligence Division... The Bureau of Operations is the heart of the Intelligence Division, and handles most of the external covert operations. The agents of the Bureau of Operations carry out missions from infiltration into enemy organizations to surveillance of enemy operations. The agents of BOO make use of many technologies like IRC, ICQ, AIM, and any other communication equipment to accomplish their tasks. The agents and equipment of the Bureau of Operations are stationed aboard the Frigate StormWind.

Analysis Bureau (ANLY)[edit]

From the Imperial Source Book: Analysis Bureau-- This bureau handles gargantuan amounts of data from tens of millions of sources. In addition to looking for enemy activity, it looks for patterns or trends in social data which might be useful to the agents over in BOO. Analysis also handles, examines and copies useful technologies, even developing a few of their own. What this means inside the EH Intelligence Division... The Analysis Bureau is a vital component of the Intelligence Division's existence. Analysis is the Bureau that passively collects information and reports upon the status of events and actions from afar. The Analysis Bureau analyzes the resources and technology of enemy organizations. ANLY utilizes such technology as Internet Relay Chat, ICQ, and of course, the seemingly unending hypertext markup language of the many, many webpages of the Internet. When the Bureau of Operations, or any other source, finds a problem somewhere, the Analysis Bureau springs into action. Locating individuals or information on the Internet is the Analysis Bureau's specialty. Like the Bureau of Operations, the Analysis Bureau is stationed on the FRG StormWind.

Plexus Bureau[edit]

From the Imperial Source Book: Sector Plexus-- Sector Plexus is the heart of the information system for Imperial Intelligence. While none of the bureaus are completely centralized, Sector Plexus is the most dispersed. Equipped with the most advance communication computers and equipment in the galaxy, sector Plexus conduits handle better than 99.95 percent of all Imperial Intelligence communications. The Plexus encodes, categorizes, transmits, stores, receives and decodes more messages in a signal standard day than most planetary communications nets will transmit in over 800 standard years. What this means inside the EH Intelligence Division... Plexus Bureau, as it is now called, is similar to the Special Projects Coordinator as both handle projects that do not fall into the jurisdiction of the bureaus, yet benefit Intel. These projects are usually designed by the UBIQ and executed with help from the SPC. As a reminder of its communication heritage, Plexus publishes Intel's newsletter, The Comlink, in addition to its other projects. Plexus agents do not engage in any covert operations, but due to the nature of some projects, their identities are not revealed publicly. Plexus agents are stationed aboard the DGN Lichtor V.

Internal Organization (IntOrg)[edit]

From the Imperial Source Book: Internal Organization-- Called "IntOrg" by those within Imperial Intelligence, this bureau's mandate is to protect Imperial Intelligence's security from outside threats and those which might be generated from within. As IntOrg must deal with the rest of Imperial Intelligence, its agents have cultivated a highly civil manner and a strong sense of political etiquette, and then combined those with complete ruthlessness when the stakes are high and the threat is real. IntOrg is committed to the security of Imperial Intelligence, but rarely abuses its authority or conducts political witch-hunts. As a result, IntOrg enjoys a good reputation among the agents of other bureaus.

What this means inside the EH Intelligence Division... Unlike with most Imperial Fleet assets, Naval Troopers do not guard Intelligence Division property. This task, instead, falls to the security officers of the Internal Organization. Agents within IntOrg also actively search for enemy agents or spy rings, which may have been placed in the Emperor's Hammer by opposing forces. Counterintelligence is of great importance. In large organizations such as the Emperor's Hammer, the greatest conflict can come from within. Thus was the case of the Old Republic. The duties of IntOrg agents that the structure and integrity of the Hammer remains and continues to grow. While it is a small Bureau, it surpasses the Bureau of Operations in importance. The agents of the Internal Organization are tasked with maintaining order within the Intelligence Division and the Emperor's Hammer. Only the most loyal of agents will be placed in IntOrg, due to it's highly sensitive nature.

Agents of the IntOrg are hand picked by the Ubiqtorate for service in this elite Bureau. Because of the special nature of their tasks, IntOrg agents receive special weapons as rewards for each mission they complete. The Internal Organization Bureau operates out of the INT Versklavung.

Praetorian Squadron (Prae)[edit]

Praetorian, one of the four elite squadrons within the Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet is attached to the Intelligence Division. Praetorian squadron's primary duty is protection of the Supreme Director of Intelligence. However this is but the public face of Praetorian. The twelve elite Praetors under take missions for the SDIR from a simple reconnaissance mission to a quick hit and run assassination of an "undesirables".

Praetorian Squadron is a special operations unit. As such they are custom equipped with the TIE Praetor now into the Mark V series. Although mainly classified the TIE Praetor is basically a upgraded model of a TIE Advanced chassis. Given a sensor stealth coating and its distinctive red cockpit canopy. Currently Praetorian is stationed aboard the Imperial Dungeon Ship, Lichtor V.

The twelve pilots of Praetorian are isolated from the rest of the fleet. Most Praetorians are loners and find themselves right at home with EH Intel. Of note these pilots have access to areas that most agents do not, even some of the Ubiqtorate do not know Praetorian's full presence. Such information is only provided to the SDIR, to whom the Praetorians have sworn total fidelity. Loyalty, honour and duty, that is the creed of Praetorian Squadron.
