Started military training very young and was detached for special training as pilot.

Was assigned to the Lannik Consulate at Aurora Prime as honor guard pilot to the ambassador, Lord Detyson and soon fell in the graces of his daughter, Lady Gal. The Ambassador was not happy with the situation, and arranged with the EH to have him transferred to the Fleet to keep them apart. Qul Meeda saw this as an opportunity and was finally free to marry his love.

As a young TC LT, he was out in a mission when Gal, in late pregnancy, fell ill and had to be rushed to the med station of Polis Massa, and inexplicably lost her life while her daughter, Lin, survived. She was raised by her mother family but is still in Aurora Prime so they keep close ties.
