Biography
Varik Kassel was born on the planet of Dantooine during the height of the Galactic Civil War. Despite coming some simple farming stock, Varik and his young brother Joran were raised by their parents to be ardent imperalists. Soon after the fall of Emperor Palpatine, when Dantoonine came under the authority of the New Republic, Varik’s parents fell victim to an angry mob that attacked the Kassel homestead as an act of reprisal for the families open support of the Empire. Barely escaping with their lives, Varik and Joran made their way back into Imperial space, and by working passage on a number of freighters, finally travelingl to the Aurora System, where Varik enlisted in the TIE Corps.
It is known that Varik's first cousin is the noted Republic X-Wing Pilot, Mia StormChaser who is currently serving with the Rebel Squadrons.
