Ryuko Nyosh

Ryuko Nyosh is currently a Battleteam Member of the Hammerhead Battleteam, House Tridens of Clan Tarentum. His rank is Jedi Hunter.

For fiction purposes, the TIE Corps character of Ryuko Nyosh has been separated. For more information, see Viper Pred.

Appearance

1.80m (5ft 11") tall, Ryuko is a rather thin person. He has a very pale skin, going along with his unnaturally white hair. Contrasting with them are his eyes. The whites are actually very dark in colour while the irises are yellow. It is supposed that Ryuko's original iris colour may have been different, however extensive exposure to certain factors since his early childhood may have somehow affected it. Moreover, he has many vibroblade, blaster and lightsaber wounds on his body, a reminder of his life before the Dark Brotherhood.

Attitude

A cold and reserved person, Ryuko is a person who prefers to stay in the dark and control the situation from there. He is ruthless and merciless, however he doesn't approve of thoughtless violence and killing. During his stay in the Brotherhood Nyosh managed to form only a few relationships. His only close connection is to Viper Pred, an officer in the TIE Corps. it appears that the two of them have been friends since early childhood and share some kind of a bond. It is believed that Pred is the only person that Ryuko cares for and would never betray, and the other way round.

Biography

Childhood and Early Life

Ryuko's childhood remains shrouded in mystery. Very little facts are known about his early years. After careful analysis of some of the facts mentioned by the Dark Jedi, experts have come to believe he may have been born on the planet of [Commenor]. Apparently Nyosh was orphaned and risen by some local gangs, however there are no reliable information about this. In the end, taking advantage of the fact that Commenor was an enormous spaceport, he easily left the planet, leaving virtually no signs of his existence there apart from several witnesses, who claimed to remember "a pale boy with devil tricks".

Nyosh wandered across the Galaxy for years, training his skills in the most practical ways. Mind tricks were useful in avoiding suspicion and controls, while various Force Powers proved invaluable while dealing with different criminal elements. Although the Intelligence Division's agents managed to connect several cases of murders and assassinations to Ryuko, there is also evidence that on more than one occasion he was responsible for saving civilians from criminals. One fact remains sure - wherever the Dark Jedi went, he caused there bloodshed. It was during that period that extensive use of drugs and exposure to the Dark Side affected his outlook, especially his eyes and hair.

Nyosh eventually found his way into the Emperor's Hammer territory, where he met his old friend, Viper Pred. After some convincing, Ryuko joined the Dark Brotherhood.

Dark Brotherhood

Nightshade

Immediately after graduating from the Shadow Academy, Nyosh skipped the Novice rank and was promoted to Acolyte as well as appointed the Leader of Nightshade Battleteam, the newly opened squadron of House Caliburnus, Clan Scholae Palatinae. Unfortunately, despite his attempts Ryuko failed to bring any activity into the battleteam. Barely two months after its opening, Nightshade has been closed. Many members were considered missing or dead; Ryuko along with a few survivors was transferred to the second of Caliburnus' squadrons, Nightmare.

Nightmare

Ryuko replaced EXE, who has become the new Quaestor of Caliburnus, as the new Leader of Nightmare. Being an active pilot, he was quickly promoted to the rank of Protector and later that of Guardian. However, soon personal matters come into Nyosh's way. Unable to conciliate his own goals with the needs of Nightmare, the Dark Jedi resigned from his position, becoming a mere Flight Member once again. Being no more restrained, he pursued some goals that nobody else knew of.

Sub-Zero

However, peace didn't last long. One month after his resignation, the Dark Brotherhood has been restructured. Clans, houses and battleteams merged together to create a more efficient organisation. Clan Scholae Palatinae has been melded into Clan Tarentum. Nightmare battleteam under a new name of Sub-Zero was transferred to House Tridens. Several members were accounted missing during that period. With little activity around, Ryuko's quests have brought him into attention of Tarentum Consul Czulvang Lah. this attention resulted in several awards as well as a promotion to the rank of Jedi Hunter.

Stingray

Once again, duty called. As the Sith Warrior Pellaeon resigned from spot, Ryuko volunteered to take his place "if no other, suitable candidate is found". Nyosh didn't want to see a leaderless battleteam, however he expected that somebody more suitable would be found. Apparently it did not happen, and the Jedi Hunter has been appointed as the new Stingray Battleteam Leader. he has remained in this position for quite a few months with moderate success. Until the appearance of Anahorn Dempsey in his team, the activity of Stingray oscillated around zero. Eventually, Ryuko decided to to undertake the trials of a Dark Jedi Knight. He went on a pursuit after a rogue Brotherhood agent and ended up on the planet of Jebun. Despite several unfortunate events there, he managed not only to slay his opponent, but also to construct his own lightsaber. Nevertheless, he wouldn't attain the rank of the Dark Jedi yet. Somehow disheartened, he grew more and more restless after in the weeks after returning from Jebun. Dark visions started to haunt him. Eventually, growing tired of the inactivity among all ranks of his clan, Nyosh resigned from his position and was considered one of the Rogue Jedi (not to be confused with a rogue Dark Brotherhood Jedi). As his final decision, he recommended a promising Sith, Blade Joloc, to replace him.

Exodus

During his four months exile, Ryuko has visited many places. Even Intel agents couldn't keep up with his pace. It is reported he has been seen on Coruscant, Nar Shaada and Force-strong planets like Dantooine and Korriban. What was he looking for, nobody knows. Perhaps one day we will know what happened to him during that period.

The only thing known is that he has lost his lightsaber during this time. Probably the design was faulty and the lightsaber exploded, killing several of Nyosh's enemies.

Return to the Brotherhood

Four months had Ryuko travelled across the Galaxy. Eventually, he returned to the Emperor's Hammer space and asked for a transfer into active duty once again. He was placed in Stingray Battleteam under the leadership of Blade. Nyosh was quite surprised at the changes that have happened during his absence. He left a ruined team in hands of an inexperienced Acolyte, while on his return he was introduced into a nearly-full squadron. Apparently, the girl he had left in charge of Stingray didn't waste time. Currently, Ryuko's role in the Brotherhood is very limited. It remains unknown if he will try to achieve anything more at this place.

Personal Belongings

Weapons

Ryuko does not carry much weaponry with him. He is usually seen with his lightsaber, a training version intended for Brotherhood members that have not achieved the rank of Dark Jedi Knight. However, this weapon is intended mostly for deflection of blaster bolts, being inefficient as a real weapon. Since his flawed lightsaber has been destroyed, Nyosh uses a vibroblade made partially of cortosis alloy, which makes the blade durable enough to withstand a lightsaber.

Ships

"Erebus"

While Major Viper Pred, then Wing VI Commander, was completing his order for a new ship, he also requested one other project. A Theta-class shuttle, a predecessor of the modern Lambda shuttle, was to be equipped with one of the spare stygium cloaking devices used in the TIE Phantoms of Ares Squadron. The armor and shield generators have been upgraded to the newest standards and the entire craft has been painted black, with occasional dark brown accents - Pred's personal colours. The cloaking device along with a sufficient power generator took most of the cargo hold; the rest was changed into a small meditation chamber. Originally, Viper intended to use the shuttle, christened Erebus, as a craft for mission requiring discretion (AKA booze runs). However, extensive paperwork and, later, his appointment as the Commodore of the SSSD Sovereign prevented him from that. Pred decide to give the Erebus to his long-time friend, Ryuko Nyosh, who has been already using the craft for his assignments. The Dark Jedi has been using this craft ever since, with the obvious exceptions of battle situations, where his Brotherhood-assigned TIE Interceptor would serve him well.
