A trio of white daggers circled slowly around the blue gas giant, a buzz of smaller vessels scattered around them in an almost tranquil scene. A far cry from the thunder and chaos of the battle that had enveloped them mere hours ago.
Only the debris, some still glowing from the veritable heat of battle stood as a mute testament to the firepower that had been brought to bear in the Gasriese system. The occasional flash as pieces of starship fell victim to the gas giant's gravity punctuated the scene.
Phoenix stood with his hands clasped behind his back, observing the remains of the battlefield from the bridge of the Imperial Class Star Destroyer Warrior as the ship cut a gentle arc around the planet.
Around him battle damage assessments were taking place, officers of the fleet busying themselves with understanding what they had lost, and what they had gained.
“Admiral” a figure stepped into line next to him and held out a data padd, “early battle assessments are completed.”
Phoenix took it and glanced down at what it contained.
“Quite the showing fr0zen, quite the showing indeed.”
The First Order forces had been utterly decimated by the arrival of the TIE Corps Battlegroups, the Mandador IV Siege Dreadnought whose presence had given the fleet command pause all week was no more.
Victim to the combined firepower of the fleets Star Destroyers and Mon Cal Cruisers, the Resurgent Star Destroyer that had eluded the Hammer during an earlier confrontation had also been reduced to a flaming wreck, with the additional escorts faring little better as the Hammer of the Empire fell upon them.
The fuel depot that they had fought so hard for was now theirs for the taking in its entirety.
Still, Phoenix mused, there were mysteries. The First Order was not some lone remnant of the Empire, it claimed to be far more and would no doubt occupy the thoughts of the Command Staff.
Finally, the fleet, although victorious, bore plenty of scars with wrecked fighters and whole chunks of vessel floating in the ether. The TIE Corps would need time to repair, time to ReMobilize…

Imperial Storm 7 comes to a close with the completion of our final battle, which had seen the TIE Corps record a resounding victory over the First Order forces in the Gasriese System.
Our goal, to take control of the fuel depot has been met and it gives the fleet the fictional jumping off point for further adventures into the Unknown Regions of the galaxy.
First and foremost, a BIG thank you to everyone who took part this year, we tried something new with the format and it was definitely different so thanks for bearing with us. Additional thanks to the BGCOM’s and the Imperial Storm planning group - especially those involved in creating the missions for the final week, something we want to see more of going forward - so thank you Jagged Fel, Locke, Master and Yoda for your efforts there.
With the completion of all our tasks, there are a number of Operational Readiness Awards to be issued in addition to a Campaign Award for all who took part!
