R6-N9[edit]

The R6 series astromech droid, designated R6-N9, is an advanced series astromech with higher processing power than its predecessors. In particular, R6-N9 was programmed with a female persona and assigned to maintenance duties in the hanger aboard the ISDII Relentless. She has been in service since the reinstatement of the Relentless. Her primary duties included but not limited to assisting flight crew and maintenance staff with maintenance and repair of all the starfighters in the hanger bay of the Relentless. With the primary focus on the starfighters of Spear Squadron. As per Imperial Protocol 77-A, memory banks are wiped on all droids on a routine basis to avoid any sensitive data being compromised.

Mack and Nebula[edit]

Upon joining the EHTC, Mack Udar always took an interest in helping out with the repairs of the Spear's fighters after a mission. Given his background of already being a well antiquated mechanic and engineer, his presence in the hangar was always a welcomed one amongst the maintenance staff.

R6-N9 took an exceptional liking to the new pilot of Spear, often times following Mack around the hanger and assisting him with whatever task he may be on. Mack treated R6-N9 as a fellow member and not just another droid or tool, sharing his stories of his missions with her and how he came to be in service of the Emperor's Hammer TIE Corps. Before the next routine memory wipe, R6-N9 divulged to Mack that everything he had shared with her would be lost and it displeased her greatly. After some thought, Mack decided to go to the Head Engineer to plead with him to keep R6-N9 as she was. Initially, the Chief denied the request but eventually gave in to Mack, warning Mack that if anything happens, it falls on him. Excitedly, the young pilot agreed to the terms and promised to take care of R6-N9. Mack gave the news to R6-N9 who also showed her excitement in what was accomplished.

Mack decided to change the accent color scheme of R6-N9, to help distinguish her from the other all black R6 astromech droids. Giving R6-N9 iridescent blue and purple coloring on only certain panels on the droid's chassis, it was at this point that Mack gave her the moniker "Nebula".
