Overview
The Silver Star is a Merit Award in the Emperor's Hammer. Like the Gold Star of the Empire and the Bronze Star of the Empire, it is available to all subgroups, but in practice it is rare to be awarded to groups other than the TIE Corps as the other groups tend to have their own chain of awards.
Citation
The Training Manual states that, "The Silver Star of the Empire may be awarded for exceptional service and loyalty. This could include expansion of an officer’s area of expertise by introducing new aspects/ideas to his position. Exceptional command officers will most often be the recipients of this medal."

Award Authority
This award can be granted by any member of the Command Staff or Group Command staffs.
