Biography

Denys Elara's original homeworld is unknown. She was born into an upper class family, part of the ruling elite of her world. For those families, their heritage is so important that they start their name with their family name, unlike most species that will give you their given name first, followed by their family name. Why she chose to leave her world and priviliged life behind is unknown.

Much of Elara's past remins hidden, as she rarely volunteers any information. It is believed she has confided in her Commodore, although this is uncertain. Elara is believed to be in her early thirties.

Career

Much of Elara's career is unknown as Imperial records regarding the service life of its military personnel were mostly lost after the demise of the Empire following the Emperor's assassination at Endor. However, we do know that her career started aboard the DS-1 battle station as a TIE pilot. This likely explains her survival of the terrorist attack on the Battle station. She was rescued by the Imperial frigate Hound's Rage when the battle was over, where she was assigned to Juniper squadron. She quickly ascended the ranks and was promoted to Commander of the squadron. The squadron played a pivotal role in the defense of Bespin in a Rebel attack following the capture of Han Solo by Lord Vader.

During the Battle of Endor, Juniper squadron and the Hound's Rage were stationed near the Shipyards orbiting Nar Shaddaa. After receiving word of the Emperor's death, the Hound's Captain announced his desire to defect to the Rebel Alliance. Elara and her squadron prevented this treasonous act by destroying the frigate. The commandeered small carrier omn approach to the Shipyards, and took it into the Unknown Regions where they eventually met up with the Star Destroyer Relentless, which transported them to Aurora Prime. After a short interrogation, the squadron members were reassigned to serve aboard different ships in the TIE Corps.

Elara was assigned to Typhoon squadron aboard the ISD-II Challenge where she remained until the Star Destroyer was decommissioned. After this, she ventured out on her own until recruited again by High Admiral Anahorn Dempsey to take up position as Wing Commander on the Challenge.
