The Strategic Operations Officer (SOO) is second in command of the TIE Corps.
Along with TIE Corps Commander and Dean of IWATS, the SOO is part of the TIE Corps Command Staff.
The position has seen only sporadic use in the face of fluctuating numbers, but it is currently in use. The present SOO is Fleet Admiral Jarek La'an.
