Lieutenant Jan Rechart is a bridge officer on the ISDII Warrior. He currently serves as the Senior Sensor Officer there.
Biography[edit]
Early Life[edit]
Jan Rechart was born on Coruscant in 5 BBY to Lorn and Esile Rechart, the seventh of shortly-thereafter eight children. His family was one of an upper-middle echelon of Coruscanti society, and flourished under the regime of the First Galactic Empire. His father, Lorn, was an officer in the Navy of the Galactic Republic, serving during the Clone Wars. He served on Venator-class Star Destroyers, Accclamator-class Assault Ships, and several types of corvettes. As he enlisted in the Navy before the discovery of the creation of the Clone Army, he eventually found himself as one of the few officers left in the Navy that was not a clone near the end of the war.
Due to this, Lorn developed biases and prejudices that fared him well in the new developing Imeperial society on Coruscant. Continuing serving in the military, Lorn propelled his family upward in society. He mandated that each of his male children attended the Royal Imperial Academy, the naval school for the Imperial Navy on Coruscant.
Jan was not spared this education, even as the seventh child and fourth son. Entering the Academy already eager to follow in the steps of his father, Jan focused on obtaining a well-rounded education that eventually angled towards military service.
Adulthood[edit]
Upon his graduation and entering into service into the Imperial Navy, Rechart floated from assignment to assignment, following the needs of the evolving Navy in response to the growing Rebel threat. But by 3 ABY, it quickly became apparent that the Rebel threat was not to be underestimated.
TIE Corps[edit]
Rechart found himself eventually stationed aboard the ISDII Hammer, part of a small fringe group near the edge of the galaxy. As the Empire crumbled and fell, and the battles between warlords, factions, and individuals over the corpse of the Galactic Empire, the Hammer ended up in service of the Emperor's Hammer.
As the Emperor's Hammer group traveled through the Unknown Regions of the galaxy, Rechart was moved from ship to ship until he settled aboard the new ISDII Warrior when it was brought into service. Serving in several roles on the bridge under several Commodores, all of which he was prepared for due to his Academy training, he was eventually promoted to his current position of Senior Sensor Officer in 30 ABY.
