R3-S3, also known as Sparky, is an Astromech droid assigned to Newt, upon joining the TIE Corps. He was to serve as a secondary pilot aboard Newts Heavy Lifter, but has since also taken on the role as an Efficiency manager for the other droids in Newts retinue. Pompous and refined, Sparky will often act up if not given an oil bath every few months, stating that his shell needs to be perfect for the Imperial Officers of which he serves. This often comes to conflict with Brush and Lug-Nut both of which have more rusted exteriors due to their age and past lives, Sparky often beeping at the both for ignoring orders to be maintained and have their memories wiped. Newt still takes the effort to keep Sparky clean and proper, mostly so they don't have to listen to the whined beeps Sparky lets out.

Sparky being one of the newer members to Newt's droid "family" spent a lot of time figuring out his place within the group. But has since found it often being described by Newt as a Wine Aunt, or similar rich relative.
