The Imperial Cross (IC) is a merit award of the Emperor's Hammer and is the second highest award in the fleet. It may be awarded to and displayed by any Emperor's Hammer member regardless of subgroup.
Criteria
The Imperial Cross is awarded to members who have shown exceptional loyalty and dedication to the Fleet. These officers will have shown consistent, exceptional, and innovative service in their assigned function or duty.
Award Authority
Recommendation Authority: Command Staff officers and their Command Attaches, or Subgroup Commanders.
Approval Authority: Fleet Commander or Executive Officer.
Additional Notes
Due to multiple data transitions since the founding of the Emperor's Hammer, the list of recipients is not exhaustive as the current EH Medal Board only contains a portion of all recipients.
Manner of Wear
The Imperial Cross medal is worn suspended from a ribbon around the neck of the dress uniform. Recipients of the IC who have also been awarded the Grand Order of the Emperor (GOE) may elect to wear both neck medals simultaneously, or only the IC along with the GOE ceremonial dagger based on personal preference.
