The Medal of Instruction (MoI) is a service medal of the Emperor's Hammer.
Criteria
The Medal of Instruction is awarded to any member who personally recruits a new member into the Emperor's Hammer. The recruit's training in their initial subgroup must be completed in accordance with requirements established by the respective subgroup, and validated by the Subgroup Commander or their designee. The MoI is awarded only for recruitment of new members into the overall organization; award of the MoI is not authorized for recruiting existing members into additional subgroups or reactivating existing inactive members.
Award Authority
Recommendation Authority: Any subgroup command staff member.
Approval Authority: Subgroup Commander. Approval authority may be further delegated by the respective Subgroup Commander to any member of the subgroup command staff.
Upgrades
The Medal of Instruction is awarded and upgraded as follows:
- Medal of Instruction - For recruitment of a single new member
- Blue Cross (-bc) - For recruitment of 5 new members
- Gold Cross (-gc) - For recruitment of 10 new members
- Platinum Cross (-pc) - For recruitment of 25 new members
- Emerald Cross (-ec) - For recruitment of 50 new members
- Diamond cross (-dc) - For recruitment of 100+ new members
No further upgrades are awarded after a member earns a Diamond Cross.
Order of Precedence
The ribbon for the Medal of Instruction is worn after the Medal of Tactics and before the Medal of Scholarship. It may awarded to and displayed by any Emperor's Hammer member regardless of subgroup.
Equivalent Awards
In the Dark Brotherhood, members earn the Scroll of Indoctrination for recruiting members to the Brotherhood.
The Hammer's Fist awarded the Recruitment Commendation as an equivalent.
The Directorate awarded the Medal of Recruitment as an equivalent.
