The Letter of Achievement (LoA) is a commendation of the Emperor's Hammer that is awarded to members who contribute material to the Dark Sentinel newsletter, or to the official newsletter of a subgroup.
Critera[edit]
The Letter of Achievement (LoA) is awarded for each newsletter entry that is published in the Dark Sentinel, the Emperor's Hammer official newsletter, or to the official newsletter of a subgroup when authorized by the Executive Officer or Fleet Commander. One LoA is awarded for each separate item, not per issue. When contributions to a newsletter are recognized with a subgroup-specific award, the LoA may not be awarded.
Award Authority[edit]
Recommendation Authority: Subgroup Commander or any member of a subgroup command staff. This authority may be further delegated by any Subgroup Commander to an individual responsible for processing newsletter submissions for the respective subgroup.
Approval Authority: Executive Officer, or Subgroup Commander for contributions to approved official subgroup newsletters.
Proponent: The Executive Officer establishes policies/procedures governing the awarding of the LoA.

The Dark Brotherhood awards the Dark Side Scroll for submissions to the Dark Voice newsletter.
The Hammer's Fist awarded the Medal of Darkness for submissions to the Dark Legionnaire newsletter.
The Directorate awarded the Medal of Penmanship for submissions to the Dark Sentinel as well.
