Captain Ibram "Decripter" Gaunt is a TIE pilot assigned to the TIE Corps Reserves aboard the M/PLT Phoenix. Gaunt previously served as Squadron Commander of Mantis Squadron.

Biography[edit]

Early History[edit]

As a child, Ibram Gaunt used to look at the stars and wonder just what it must be like up there. Gaunt's family owned and operated a large trading company in Wayward on Corellia. Gaunt's father always insisted on taking the most dangerous jobs, but Gaunt was not sure if all his business partners were the kind of people who could be trusted, but as long as his father was making money, Gaunt was happy. Gaunt stayed home with his sister to run the office for his parents as they left for the last trip of the year. His mother and father were making a delivery to an Imperial Outpost just outside the Core World territories, Outpost 45B-09JJ, but they never returned. The rebels ambushed their convoy right out of hyperspace. Since then, Gaunt vowed to destroy the rebels wherever they may be. At 18, Gaunt joined the Imperial Academy, along with his sister. Unfortunately, his sister was recruited into the ISF. Before she disappeared, she sent Gaunt a holo message stating her commander had picked her for a very important mission and that she would be gone for some time.

At Imperial Academy, Gaunt graduated in the middle of his class, becoming adept in the T/I and T/B. Gaunt decided to take two years of advanced bookwork before fully committing himself to piloting.

Alignment and Attitude[edit]

Gaunt professed dead loyalty to the Empire and their standards of order and discipline. Gaunt had a strong respect for the command structure and disliked when pilots asked why they must do this or that. He believed it was not an Imperial officer's job to question orders.

Gaunt belied that the Empire was the law and that no needed to question why or how the Empire came to be. He argued that the Emperor's Hammer was an elite group of Imperial Personnel who in my opinion believe in the Empire, and the Imperial way. He considered the Emperor's Hammer his family.
