Commander's Briefing[edit]
Good morning pilots of Battlegroup III. Today, it is with a heavy heart that I announce that I am stepping down from this command and am entering into the Reserves aboard the Modified Frigate Phoenix. It has been the greatest honor to have served with each and every one of you. Even when we have had our differences, you all followed my command and endeavored to make this the greatest Battlegroup in the whole of the TIE Corps.
I am not leaving the Emperor's Hammer, only active duty, and hope to one day rejoin you all in our sworn duty to defeat the criminal insurgents who have caused this galaxy to descend into anarchy. I know that by your efforts we will once again bring the proper rule of law and order to this vast collection of stars and planets.
I do not step down from this command lightly and I am heartened that I know you will be in good hands. High Admiral Plif has asked, and he has accepted, that Colonel Locke Setzer rejoin the ranks of the admiralty and take command of this Battlegroup. He has faithfully served this command as the Executive Officer of Typhoon Squadron for many months now, while also holding the position of Captain of the Phoenix, a role he will continue to fill even after this change of command. Knowing that you will all be well taken care of, I now step aside for Vice Admiral Setzer to take the podium.
Thank you Admiral Stryker, you have led this Battlegroup well, and I will strive to make your faith in me warranted. For those of you who don't know me, I was thrice before the Commodore of the ISDII Challenge and twice the Commander of Tempest Squadron. Long have I served in this Battlegroup, and we will achieve great things together. As you know we are currently in the Garnib system, in a high orbit above the planet of Coomputu. We have messaged the Phoenix to expect Admiral Stryker. It was decided to not have the Phoenix travel too far into New Republic territory; therefore, they have journeyed to the Tarabba System just outside of Emperor's Hammer space in order to await for the admiral's arrival.
Tactical Briefing Text[edit]
Today we will be sending off Admiral Stryker with a full display of this command before he continues on his journey to the Phoenix.
Once there, he may rest amongst those who are also in the Reserves of the TIE Corps.
Typhoon Squadron will perform their assigned duty of VIP Escort and journey with Admiral Stryker to the Phoenix.
This will be my final flight as Typhoon 2-1.
As once there, I will pick up my Vice Admiral uniform from storage and come back to the Challenge and take my place as Battlegroup Commander.
Radio Messages[edit]
<LC Elara> Typhoon Squadron, escort Admiral Stryker's shuttle to the Viewing Platform
<LC Elara> Admiral Stryker, we of Battlegroup III honor your service to us and this command, please direct your gaze towards the planet to see a small display of our respect
<LCM Fell> That is a pretty impressive display
<AD Stryker> That it is, Lieutenant Commander, that it is
<GN Boliv> This display is also for you Locke, to show their respect and best for their new commander
<VA Setzer> I know B. I know that this Battlegroup will perform exceptionally, without a doubt
<GN Master> You know I've been thinking
<GN La'an> I have a bad feeling about this...
<GN Master> Well, you see, why do we need to head straight to the Phoenix? Why not stop along the way?
<VA Setzer> Where are you going with this M?
<GN Master> I just thought that we haven't had the chance to properly send off the Admiral, or properly wet down the gold brocade that L is putting back on
<VA Setzer> We've got booze aboard the Challenge, and the Phoenix for that matter. Why can't we just do our drinking there?
<GN Master> But on the Phoenix, you will be the Captain and not able to properly enjoy yourself. And once we get back to the Challenge you will be the fresh, new Battlegroup Commander, and must be setting a good example for the troops. This will be your last chance in a good long while to belly up to the bar and have some good clean fun with your mates
<AD Stryker> I am not sure how clean the fun you have in mind is General. But you do make an interesting argument
<GN Boliv> I have been in the Corps for decades, and have fought in dozens, if not hundreds of battles. Why is it that when he starts making sense that I get the most scared?
<VA Setzer> Because you have a strong danger sense, and know him too well. But sure why not. Where should we go Master?
<GN Master> Let's head to Bpfassh system, I hear we will find some good action there at a casino out in the outer system
<GN Lan'an> Isn't that a New Republic system?
<GN Master> The casino owners don't care about all that, and they actually like us Emperor's Hammer pilots to frequent the place. We are better mannered
Hey, you can't deny us landing permission! Don't you know who we are? We are the Uadhu Pirates! And we will blast this place into dust if you won't serve us!
Oh, thank the Force you are here! Craft of the Emperor's Hammer please save us from these pirates!
<VA Setzer> I know I am not Battlegroup Commander yet, but I say we teach these guys some manners
<AD Stryker> I agree Vice Admiral. Typhoon Squadron, show these pirates what happens to those who won't behave within polite society
I'm getting out of here!
Let's go back and get some help!
Thank you Emperor's Hammer pilots. The drinks are on the house tonight
<GN Master> I knew this was going to be a good idea!
Land at Docking Bay 5 and enjoy your time here
<VA Setzer> Alright, that was fun, but let's get on with this
You should never have messed with the Uadhu Pirates!
<VA Setzer> Protect the Phoenix from their bombers and destroy them all. I am going to go jump in a special transport they have waiting for me
<AD Stryker> Thank you all for a memorable send off
<VA Setzer> Yes, today was an interesting start of my command. Let's head back to the Challenge and get settled in
<AD Marenta Jean> Can we come and play too?
Victory Briefing[edit]
That was quite an eventful change of command, if I do say so myself. I greatly enjoyed having one last adventure, and drink, with you all as your ExecutiveOfficer. And getting to beat the pants off those egotistical pirates was the icing on the cake.
I may now be the Battlegroup Commander, but we are still friends, and my door is always open, but not my liquor cabinet Master.
