Tiran Marr

From Emperor's Hammer Encyclopaedia Imperia

Tiran Marr is a flag officer holding the rank of Vice Admiral within the Emperor's Hammer. He is the current Command Attaché to the Training Officer (CA:TO) and the current Squadron Commander of Theta Squadron, whose pilots specialize in Special Insertion/Extraction missions, oftentimes deep behind enemy lines. As the Squadron Commander, he is directly responsible for the supervision, training, and professional development of all pilots within Theta Squadron. In his role as the CA:TO, Tiran serves as the second-in-command of the Emperor's Hammer Training Office, which oversees the entirety of the Imperial University.

Personal Background

Childhood & Family

Tiran Marr's family lineage holds a long record of devoted service to the Galactic Empire under the leadership of His Majesty, the Emperor. Tiran's father, Sigil Marr, spent his entire adult life serving in the Imperial Navy and ultimately perished aboard his command during the Battle of Endor. Tiran's older brother, Kalen Marr, served as a TIE Squadron Commander aboard the Star Destroyer 'Majestic' until he was listed as missing-in-action during a raid on rebel shipping lines in the Mid-Rim Territories. Tiran's mother died shortly after his birth and the circumstances surrounding her death were never clarified to him by his father.

Allegiance to Imperial Rule

Tiran grew up in the shadow of his father and older brother, who had both given their lives in service to the Galactic Empire. After their deaths, the remnants of the Imperial military became the only family Tiran had left. Tiran always believed the Galactic Empire, under the rule of His Majesty, the Emperor, had succeeded in bringing safety, security and stability to the galaxy unlike the Old Republic. Tiran believes the Emperor's Hammer is the only faction that still embraces true Imperial ethos and rightfully holds the mantel of returning order to a war-torn galaxy.

Views on the Emperor's Hammer

Enlisting into the Emperor's Hammer was Tiran's way of returning to the "old ways" of military service. While serving in the fleet, Tiran hopes to bring honor to his father and brother who gave their lives in service to the Galactic Empire. During Tiran's time away from the Empire after separation from the Imperial Army in 20 ABY, he never truly felt himself outside of an Imperial uniform. Tiran had a longing to return to a structured and stable society and felt the Emperor's Hammer was his way of achieving what he had been missing.

Imperial Military Service

Joining the TIE Corps

Shortly after returning to imperial service, Tiran attended the Imperial Weapons and Tactics School (IWATS), the premiere starfighter pilot training institution for the Emperor's Hammer. As an officer cadet in IWATS, Tiran would be trained in starfighter operations, combat, and many more critical skills which would help his career within the TIE Corps. After successfully graduating from IWATS, Tiran was commissioned as a Sub-Lieutenant and assigned to Rho Squadron aboard the ISDII Warrior.

Rho Squadron

Tiran's first assignment was as a flight member within Rho Squadron under the command of Westric Davalorn. His first starfighter assigned to him was the legendary TIE Interceptor, which at the time was standard for all Rho Pilots. Within his first month in active service, Tiran was selected by Davalorn to serve as Flight Leader where he had the honor and opportunity to lead three other pilots assigned to Rho Squadron.

Theta Squadron

After serving as Flight Leader for nearly half a year, Tiran was recruited personally by Vapen Van'an, the commanding officer of Theta Squadron, to serve as Theta's newest Squadron Executive Officer. Upon accepting the offer by Theta's CMDR, Tiran would officially change squadrons where he then began to pilot the TIE Defender 'Basilisk.' A starfighter which he still uses to this day.

Return to Active Service

After serving as SQXO under Van'an for nearly eight months, Tiran suffered a rather significant injury during a classified combat mission. Because of his injuries, Tiran was forced to step down and enter the reserve component of the TIE Corps for just over a year. After recovering from his injuries aboard the M/FRG Phoenix, Tiran was reinstated as an active-duty pilot and placed back into Theta Squadron per his own request. After returning to duty, Tiran flew nearly fifty combat missions against the Kilji Illuminate during the final days of the EH's official combat operation Raise the Flag 2024.

Appointment as Squadron Commander

Following the successful combat operations against the Kilji Illuminate during RtF 2024, Tiran was approached by the Commander of Battlegroup II, Vice Admiral Adom "Fr0Zen" Wietu, with an offer to assume command of Theta Squadron after their most recent commander had ended his tour of duty. Tiran accepted and was formally appointed as the new commander of Theta Squadron during the final weeks of 33 ABY.

Appointment as Command Attaché to the Training Officer

In August of Imperial Year 34 ABY, Tiran was selected to serve as the next Command Attaché to the Emperor's Hammer Training Officer and became the second-highest ranking member of the Training Office under the leadership of Fleet Admiral Sylas Pitt. Upon appointment Tiran was promoted to the flag rank of Rear Admiral and became a member of the Emperor's Hammer Command Staff serving in the "CA-4" position. As Command Attaché, Tiran oversees all operations of the Imperial University (IU); to include the Imperial Weapons and Tactics School (IWATS), the Dark Jedi Shadow Academy (SA), and the Carrida Stormtrooper Military Academy (CSMA).
